Thank you to the publisher for the review copy! There are some wonderful meal ideas in this book and the photographs included really sold the recipes well. Some unique ideas for quick weekday suppers in here & I'm looking forward to trying the South Indian-Style Fish Curry, Tofu Makhani & Karahi Paneer! A really diverse collection of easy-to-make and nutritious recipes.

A quick, well-organized cookbook with plenty of options that take 30 minutes or less for those like me who don't want to spend too much time cooking. The pictures looked great and have definitely enticed me to try out one of the recipes! I also like that most of the ingredients are things you'd already have at home or are easy enough to run out and grab. There's a little bit of background on the author at the beginning to introduce the book but I like that the rest is truly focused on the recipes without lengthy chapter introductions that while can be interesting are likely not necessary if you just want to check out some recipes. If you're looking for a cookbook with different options for hearty meals in a bowl, you'll want to check this one out.

Thank you Cider Mill Press for the drc via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley, Cider Mill Press, and Ayesha Singh for sending me this advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Photos are gorgeous, but unfortunately the photos were not always next to the recipe, which is more difficult to match up the pic with the recipe when reading the ebook version. The blurb made it sound like it was only vegan and vegetarian, but there were recipes with meat in them as well.

Ingredients are simple, and fairly easy to find. The instructions were extremely minimal, and you would need to have some cooking experience to use this book. Most of the recipes were only a few lines long. I can see a very beginner struggling to use this book though.

The recipes were easy to understand, even with the minimal instructions. The flavors were interesting, and I'm looking forward to trying out quite a few of the recipes. There was a great mix of hot and cold bowls. With summer coming up, the cold ones will be perfect for the Oklahoma heat. I also enjoyed that you got a ton of simple recipes for sauces and dips as well.

A lot of the recipes have soy and tofu in them, which is difficult for me with a soy intolerance. It would be very easy to add meat to any of the recipes, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Overall it was a great simple cookbook with a really good variety of tasty bowls to make.
