Absolute perfection!!
I absolutely ate this book up... I love a man who is not afraid to speak up! I will be shouting about this book for a while

Perfect spice and perfect pitches. Top tier angst and yearning, Tessa Bailey never misses!!
Pitcher Perfect is for those romance lovers who yearn to read a perfect love story, where our hearts are on our sleeves along with the characters.
I’m a sucker for a boy who knows when to change and what’s important in life. I started this book a fan of banter, but I’m leaving as a fan of Robbie’s god tier pining. Robbie and Skylar are full of life, fire, and fight. Their sporty competitive personalities intertwined with raw and vulnerable selves made reading their story all the more real and fun.
What I loved most was how Robbie learnt to express himself, not just his own character development but keeping Skylar’s little things in mind. No-pulp orange juice for the win. He learnt how important planning was to Skylar and ensured they stuck to her planner as far as possible. Forced proximity was never done better!

A home run of a romance! Pitcher Perfect combines the best of sports drama with steamy, character-driven storytelling. If you love a dual dose of ice hockey and baseball/softball, this one’s calling your name.
With high-stakes chemistry and emotional depth, it’s everything you’d expect from Tessa Bailey. Punchy, passionate, and seriously addictive. Even without reading the rest of the series, this felt incredibly satisfying.
Full of heat and heart, this is one sports romance you won’t want to miss!

Tessa bailey, I will always be your fan and Robbie Corrigan, I would take a bullet for you.
X Sports Romance (Hockey and Baseball)
X Dating lessons
X Opposites Attract
X Forced Prox
X Reformed Playboy
Everything I’ve come to expect and love from Tessa Bailey. Spice, Romance and Banter with perfect pacing and heart wrenching moments. At its core this book was fun, flirty and emotionally satisfying.
This was everything I love from a sports romance. The competitive energy between Skylar and Robbie was out of this world. And their CHEMISTRY, off the charts! You can feel the tension in every pitch Skylar throws and every move Robbie makes to prove he’s more than a pretty face in the tabloids.
Get ready to fall in love and meet your new book boyfriend because I need myself a Robbie Corrigan.
Thankyou to Harper and NetGalley for an e-arc

Tessa Bailey never misses!! I absolutely loved this. Pitcher Perfect has a fast paced story line, no reallllly slow burn here, which may not be for everyone, but it's definitely for me. A sports romance with fake dating and loveable main characters, this book has everything you need. i've read nearly every Tessa book and this one is definitely up there as one of my favourites. I already can't wait for the next book, excited to see who's next up in the Big Shots series!!

Pitcher Perfect is the fourth in the Big Shots series and we saw the meet cute of this couple in the previous book so I was excited to see how it turned out and i wasn’t disappointed. Robbie Corrigan is living his best life as an NHL player in the Boston Bearcats and a player in the club then he meets Skyler Paige division 1 softball player who doesn’t take crap from anybody least of all a swaggering, full of himself, misogynistic hockey player. Robbie can’t seem to let her go and when he discovers she has been holding a torch for her big brother’s best friend he offers to help Skyler make him see her in a different light. This was Tessa Bailey at her best I thought Robbie and Skyler were charming and cute in all the ways, Skyler was a different kind of heroine and I loved that. They really understood each other at the end and were just adorable throughout.

The 4th book in the Big Shot Series, Pitcher Perfect was another hilarious romcom from Tessa. I loved Skylar and Robbie. A fab enemies to lovers book.

2.5✨
Thank you NetGalley, Tessa Bailey and Harper360 for providing an eARC in exchange for my honest review - Pitcher Perfect publishes September 9th.
I was delighted to have an early copy of Pitcher Perfect as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the previous 3 books in the Big Shots series (Fangirl Down was a 5⭐️!)
Pitcher Perfect is an enemies to lovers, fake dating sports romance (softball & hockey player)!
Robbie and Skylar agree to fake date at the family competition Page Stakes in order to make her brothers best friend ‘jealous’ (Skylar has a huge crush on him).
I thought the premise of this sounded really great. It’s pretty clear Robbie is down bad for Skylar from the beginning, but he has alot of growth to be done to reform his playboy ways - I wasn’t a huge fan of his character, it felt like we didn’t really see the ‘changes’ in him until the 60% mark, and prior to that he mainly just thought with his 🍆
Skylar only has eyes for Madden for a big chunk of this book, which also feels a little odd! It takes until the 40% mark for her to start to admit to herself that she may possibly be interested in Robbie, but then there’s still many references to Madden going towards.
The romance was fine but it didn’t feel hugely believable and it felt like alot of distractions to get to that point & I’m not sure all of the tropes fitted together very well. I didn’t like the third act conflict, especially as the romance started later on in the book it meant the ending was really rushed.
Overall it’s my least favourite in the series which is disappointing, I just couldn’t connect to the characters. I’m hoping book 5 redeems itself! I’ve still pre-ordered a copy of Pitcher Perfect to sit on my shelves with the rest of the series!

I love Tessa Bailey! This book was so cute. I loved the push and pull between the two main characters. Robbie really transformed for love, which is every girl's fantasy. I always enjoy when a male character falls hard and does all of the little things to show up and show his love by learning the details of the female main character. Fully recommended picking this book up and reading it!

Loved it!
I’m really enjoying this series from TB so it wasn’t a surprise that it had my kicking my feet every step of the way.
Really enjoyed Skylar as a badass sports star In her own right although I do wish she had a bit more self confidence. I wanted a touch more of the Ilona Maher vibes from her. I really enjoyed Robbie’s character. He’s been light relief in the previous books so seeing him come into his own was fun to read

I love Tessa Bailey, and let me tell you this book did not disappoint. I'd argue it's my favourite one of hers! Which is impressive, given the amount of books she has, AND given the fact I don't normally enjoy sports romances, but this was amazing. It really hooked me, I wanted to learn more about the characters, I was massively invested in the romance, the spice, the smut, everything.

Pitcher Perfect UK is everything you'd want from a Tessa Bailey romcom—fun, flirty, fiery, and full of heart. When a cocky American baseball star ends up in a quaint English village to help a failing cricket team, sparks fly between him and the no-nonsense local woman determined to keep him in line.
The banter is sharp, the chemistry electric, and the cultural clash adds so much charm. There’s just the right mix of humour, steam, and emotional depth to keep you hooked from the first chapter. Both leads are lovable in their own messy, stubborn ways, and their romance feels both chaotic and genuinely earned.
Whether you're a sports romance fan or just love a good opposites-attract love story, this one’s an absolute winner. Tessa Bailey has done it again!

Tessa Bailey writes it, and I love it. I grabbed the next in this series immediately :)
Pitcher Perfect is a sports romance, meets fake dating, and meets enemies-to-lovers featuring a strong, sporty heroine, Skylar (a D1 softball player), and a flirty NHL rookie, Robbie, who begin a fake relationship to make Skylar's crush jealous.
I loved the family lake aspect, the fake dating, the opening sports scenes and overall, the character growth was just what I love!

Two sports team not rating each others sport. Grudge match but a star female pitcher calls out the rookie ice hockey player.
Wanting to catch the attention of her older brother's best friend a plan is hatched.
Pretend relationship and dating tips.
Actually being seen and looking beyond the surface. This book will hold your attention and make you care about the characters.
Become invested in the life they could have together.
Enjoy I did

This was a beautiful cliche.
The characters seem real and relatable and their friendship turned to relationship was incredibly well done.
All descriptions were delivered in the best way and it was cute to witness these two grow.
The little third act breakup so close to the end was a bit unnecessary here, but oh well.

Tessa Bailey is definitely one of my favourite romance authors and Pitcher Perfect did not disappoint! With fake dating, contests, spice and sports this was bound to be a winner for me but Bailey definitely knocked it out of the park! I was obsessed from the start! Seeing the relationship blossom and the two fall slowly in love really did a number on my heart strings. Family time, defending each other and just general chaos made for a stunning story that I just couldn’t put down!! I need the next installment now please!
AD/PR PRODUCT

I’ll read anything Tessa Bailey writes, but Pitcher Perfect might just be my favourite yet in the Big Shots series. It’s everything I want in a romance: fake dating, he-falls-first, forced proximity, and a golden retriever hero who’s wildly obsessed with the girl who wants nothing to do with him.
Robbie Corrigan—our reformed "Orgasm Donor"—completely stole my heart. He’s chaotic, tender, and so deeply in love it hurts. Skylar Paige is fiercely competitive, brilliant, and doesn't take crap from anyone. Their banter? Pitch perfect. Their chemistry? Off the charts. The wilderness family games? Utter madness in the best way.
Bailey brings her signature heat, heart, and humour to a romance that’s about more than love—it’s about choosing who you want to be, and having someone who sees your worth even when you don’t. I laughed, I swooned, and yes, I kicked my feet.
Already counting the days until Mailer’s story.
Thank you to Harper360 and NetGalley for the ARC!

Another classic Bailey book! She writes such real characters and paces the story in a way that you cannot put down. I really enjoyed this romance!

An enjoyable easy romance with likeable characters.
The chemistry between MCs was palpable from the start, and I particularly loved how Robbie was utterly bowled over by Skylar's no nonsense attitude. That said, insta-love isn't something I particularly like in most books, and Pitcher Perfect had a fatal case. Instant attraction, sure, instant lust, instant intrigue...but almost the entirety of this book took place within a week, which was too short a timeline, in my opinion, to go from open hostility and mistrust to declarations of love and soulmates.
However, the banter was on point, and I loved the wider family dynamics we could see with Skylar's homelife. A great instalment of the Big Shots series, though not my favourite so far.

3.5⭐️
Not my favorite of the series, but overall it felt like a better story than the last one. It was a fun, easy read, but some of the story seemed to be lacking.
It was very insta-lusty with the "lessons" that I normally like in books just feeling like an excuse for Skylar to be intimate with Robbie. I didn't really buy her being into another guy and wanting to get him to notice her.
I did enjoy Skylar's competitiveness which led to some fun moments, but my biggest takeaway was Robbie standing up for her in front of her family. The cocky athlete was a total sweetheart underneath and far gone for his girl.
Thanks to NetGalley, Tessa Bailey, and Avon for this ARC.
