A great story told from multiple POV's. Must admit that I did fine it a bit confusing but I kept a pen and paper nearby to make notes. Lots of twists made it a good read, and the final twist was unexpected.
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in return for an honest review. Loved it !

This was a good read about Rose and her son James who are moving with her new husband to live in a mansion in Florida with his mother who is very sick. Although Rose has only been married a short time to Grant after her first husband died she feels she finally has a man in her life who loves her and with look after her and James only problem is his mother hates her and wants her out of Greg’s life no matter what it costs. As secrets and lies swirl around the old halls of the mansion Rose starts to worry that maybe a few secrets of her own may spill out and what is it that her mother in law is hiding. A great page turned. I can see this as a channel 5 drama in the future.

The Tutor by Courtney Psak is a thrilling psychological thriller that takes advantage of a mother's worst nightmares. The plot revolves around Rose, a mother and wife who, having moved into a Florida estate, employs a tutor named Isabel for her son James. Isabel is perfect in every way initially—she's young, bright, and produces results with James. But an insidious feeling of horror creeps in as Rose sees Isabel pushing boundaries too far, crossing professional and personal lines.

The author skillfully weaves a suspenseful and paranoid-filled tale. Tension builds with each page as Rose's instincts conflict with the innocent-looking appearance of her new tutor. The reader becomes drawn into Rose's frantic quest for uncovering Isabel's real motives, questioning her every move and motivation. The power of the book is in its unrelenting pace and in the disquieting feeling that one is witnessing something utterly amiss, culminating in a "heart-stopping twist" that will delight domestic suspense fans. This is an ideal read for anyone who likes a gripping tale with a lot at risk and a surprising ending.

Rose and her son James move in with her new husband's mother as she has just been told she has Parkinson's but things go wrong and her mother-in-law is determined to split them up or to get Rose to move out, and James's tutor is getting too friendly but why?
The twists are great and keeps you in suspense till the end.

I’m in my thriller era and The Tutor left me wanting to read more! The Tutor reads like a Lifetime channel movie; wealthy family, dirty secrets, lies, hidden motives, and murder. The story centers around the Caldwell family: Grant, his new wife Rose, her son James, and Grant's mother, Evelyn. After living in a New York apartment, the family relocates to Palm Beach to be closer to Evelyn, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. They settle into the Caldwell family mansion where hidden truths begin to surface. Especially after hiring a young, new teacher named Isabel to tutor James.

Initially, I thought that the story was boring and a little too slow to hold my interest but as the story progressed and more POVS were introduced, the harder it got to put down. The pacing turned out to be perfect and helped contribute to the somber mood of the story. Each new detail had me clutching my imaginary pearls and wanting to read til the end which left me feeling gagged 😱by the way. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Thank you to Netgalley and Hodder & Stoughton for the arc!

Wow! This book was brilliant. What I loved so much about it this was the ending. I couldn't put it down. This is Courtneys debut, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

If you think you can work a thriller out from the start, then try this one. So many characters, all with a lot going on. But watch out for the twists, they will get you! It will have you hooked from the first few pages.

Full of extravagant wealth, deadly secrets, and deceitful motives—The Tutor is a pacy suspense that hits you with one shocking twist after another. Psak immediately draws you in with a vibrant cast of suspicious characters and engaging locations. I was hooked from the very start and stayed up late into the night reading! Psak deftly balances multiple points of view in a way that keeps you turning the page and second-guessing everything you think you’ve read! If you love dark family histories, luxurious settings, and a messy search for truth, then this is the book for you! Perfect for fans of Catherine Cooper and Stephanie DeCarolis.

Did I guess what happened… of course I did… until the twist, then a lot of what I thought I knew was in fact wrong 😂 great twist too!

I really enjoyed this one. Courtney’s writing style flowed well and made it easy to read and want to keep on reading.

Multi POV’s for those of us who enjoy those. It certainly helped to build the story.

Certainly had a few questions and theories going on at the start and I like that. Means the book was capturing my attention and making me think! There’s a few secrets about each character and you get little teasers about things that get you guessing.

You will change your opinion on certain characters in this book and it’s understandable why.

I enjoyed the friendship between Isabel and James and thought all of the characters were written to a standard where you enjoyed reading about them and they played their role well in the story.

Great book from Courtney and I look forward to reading more.

Rose is a dedicated wife and mother to her husband Grant and her son James. Having recently moved to a grand mansion in Florida, Rose is keen for James to fit in with his new life and hires a tutor.. What she doesn't expect is that Isabel, the tutor, has her own secrets and there is a reason she has entered their lives. This story is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing, and secrets come out that you would never have suspected. I really enjoyed this, and it will not be the last book I read by this author.

WHAT A DEBUT! 😱 I’ve been looking forward to reading this book since I met Courtney at Hamptons Whodunnit back in April and it did not disappoint!

This book is told in three perspectives and I love a multi-perspective read. From the blurb and the title, I was expecting a more academic thriller, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a much more well rounded family/domestic thriller that kept me guessing the entire time!

I loved the dynamics between the three women in this book - they were all at odds, fighting against each other, and because of that there were pieces of the puzzle you couldn’t put together until the very end.

The twists and turns had my head spinning in the best way and every time I thought I had figured it out? I was wrong!

I can’t wait for Courtney’s next book! 🙌🏻
