Grit, Guts, and a Gun-Smoking Mystery - If you're into gritty detective fiction with a pulse, Ding Dong Ditch: The Shadows of Big East delivers in spades. The story follows old-school Detective Charlie Dawson, who’s still fighting for justice in a corrupt, gang-infested city where silence is deadly and every clue is a trap. I was totally hooked by the no-nonsense storytelling, layered with suspense, heart, and just enough emotional tug from the subplot with Miss Rose. I couldn’t stop reading because I had to know if Dawson would catch the ghost-like killer—or lose everything trying. It’s the kind of book that makes you want to pour a bourbon and read it in one sitting.

Justice has a new name… and it’s grumpy, gritty, and not here to play.

Holy plot twist, Batman! This book had me sweating like I was in the interrogation room myself! 🤯 I mean, Detective Dawson? Total legend. He’s cranky, clever, and could probably stare down a shark. The whole Big East world is like Gotham on steroids, and I couldn’t flip pages fast enough. Explosions? Check. Shady reporters? Yep. Sexy tension? You betcha. If you're into edge-of-your-seat action with brainy grit and grizzled feels, Ding Dong Ditch is your jam. I’m officially obsessed. 💥🕵️‍♂️🔥

This was a joy to read. The noir vibes and the old detective genre is one of my favorites. This was super entertaining and very well written. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this eARC. All opinions are my own.
