Overall thought it was just okay which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. The premise had potential, and I enjoyed a few of the lighthearted moments and witty banter. However, I found parts of the story to be uneven and slower than I expected, which made it hard to stay fully engaged.
The narration was clear and easy to follow, which definitely helped bring the characters to life, but it wasn’t quite enough to elevate the story for me. While this one didn’t end up being a favorite, I think readers who enjoy contemporary romance with a bit of humor and drama may still find it enjoyable.

I absolutely loved this slow-burn rom com!
I can compare the relationship to Cher and Josh from the movie Clueless. Yes, it is a weird concept of ex-step siblings that start to date after their parents get divorced but weirder things have happened. Okay? Get over it.
The main characters Piper and Archie are ex-step siblings. Growing up they lived in different houses/cities and when they occasionally saw each other they did not get along. Years later, they are forced to live together in a beach house for a few weeks while their parents finalize a divorce settlement. They both want the beach house for themselves and many pranks occur along the way in hopes to scare the other person off.
Aside from their hilarious pranks you can see their relationship evolve emotionally over the course of the book. They are finally getting to know each other and they do not want their time together to come to an end.
I listened to the whole thing in one day! Both narrators were great. If my review has not convinced you to read this book I will leave you with this…the male narrator is Australian.
Thank you Brittany Larsen & NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

This book was so hilarious oh my!! I was not expecting to laugh and swoon so hard in one book! I cannot wait to read more of Brittany Larsen

Terms of Un-Endearment
Piper and Archie’s story is Book 2 in the Love in LA series. This is my first Brittany Larsen book and I enjoyed getting to know Archie, Piper, and the cast of other characters from the series. Archie and Piper are technically stepsiblings but the relationship is more in name only. Archie is 5 years older than Piper, they were never raised together and didn’t live together as a family. The few times a year they were around each other, Archie resented Piper and tended to bully her, which is why they were so antagonistic initially. Over time, they went from fighting each other to fighting their attraction to each other.
Terms of Un-Endearment is a closed door, slow burn, light read that had surprising depth. Archie is a laid back, billionaire, surf boy who is extremely loyal and protective. Piper is smart, strong, independent and very suspicious of Archie’s motives with good reason. Piper and Archie both had misconceptions about the other that clear up the closer they become. Both had a lot of growth throughout the story but I was most impressed with Archie. His golden retriever personality endeared me to him from the beginning and I found myself rooting for him. I enjoyed their prank war and the found family dynamic.
I really loved the story but did find myself wishing there was more towards the end. I want to know more about Bombora and would have liked to have seen more of Piper and Archie’s relationship develop. I’m excited to read the bonus epilogue!!

I enjoyed the audiobook! The narrators did a great job bringing the book to life. I really enjoyed Archie’s accent. It was perfect for his character.
Thank you NetGalley, Victory Editing, and Brittany Larsen for the
ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a fun and funny step brother/ enemies to lovers romance. The main characters were interest and unique and the way the tension and drama developed between them was wonderful. The story showed real growth of character and realizing that other people experience situations differently and that can change how we perceive each other. It was deep without being too heavy or preachy. The author did a great job balancing all the elements of the book to make it interesting.
The narrators did a phenomenal job overall. The transitions between chapters took a really long time but that was not the narrators problem.

I listened to this light-hearted, humorous, easy-listen, rom com this morning.
When Piper moves to her new "home" in Los Angeles for her new job, she is surprised to find her (soon-to-be) ex-stepbrother, Archie, still living there. As the two have always have a turbulent relationship, this soon leads the two pulling pranks on each other to try and get even with the other. While they are busy torturing each other, both Piper and Archie, are dealing with their own personal challenges. Archie wants his father to take him seriously as a business developer, Piper is trying to make it in the fashion world.
Once the two hit pause on their pranks, they find that they may be able to help each other, in more ways than one.
Thank you Netgalley, Brittany Larsen and Audio Excert for this advanced audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
