This book was really cute! As a future audiologist, I really like how this book was related to speech and language development. It was simple and sweet, allowing for parents to bond with their kids. It also allowed those struggling with speech to benefit from practice as well. Overall, I love the art and I love the concept.

My daughter and I loved this book! She acted out every page and enjoyed looking for the bug. This would be a great book to read every day and learn sight words! I love that the pictures aren't over the top or too distracting, I also love that it has mom, dad, and brother involved. A good family story! I love books that have scary things in them to help normalize common fears. She loved the cute ghost! A great read! Would love morel ink this to help with speech and imagination.

this was a cute little book! Little kids will love this to be read to them, hearing sounds animals make, etc. Illustration was cute and on point for the story and age group! Thank you NetGalley for the review of this ARC.

"Hi, How Are You?" is an illustrated children's book written by a speech pathologist to assist little listeners/readers in learning to speak-- with a helpful parent and teacher guide at the start to help guide learning.

The illustrations and typography are harmonious with one another on the page, in terms of graphic design, and the large font is friendly to readers who might have difficulty reading small text. It is also short and with enough happening from page to page to keep small children engaged.

My only small area of concern was when multiple pages of the book were dedicated to several family members separately expressing dismay over the baby going to the bathroom. It should be okay, but it does make me wonder, depending on the family and other factors, if it might contribute to potty training issues later.
