Marketing Plan

First print run: Files sent for offset printing in August 2025 with expected publication date of 12/07/25. Soft launch at events will take place in early October and late November, with pre-orders expected to open 1-2 months before publication.

Target audience: Primarily babies and toddlers (birth-to-three) as well as preschoolers and early readers (Pre-K, Kinder). Will appeal to parents/caregivers of babies/toddlers, including those interested in using books to promote engagement and foster developing communication skills. The book will be useful to caregivers of little ones, or older children, with speech-language delays. The book will also appeal to educators, including pediatric speech-language pathologists, who work with young children, as well as any caregivers or educators targeting phonemic awareness, pre-reading, and early decoding skills.

Events/Appearances: Will participate in two soft launch events: a community small business / vendor event on 10/11/2025 and a 3-day national convention at the end of November through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, where I will partner with other speech-language pathologist board book authors for early sales and increased exposure.

Promotional activities: Social media activities will take place leading up to and throughout launch week on my SLP Instagram account (@spiffyspeech) and author account (@storybookconnection) as well as on Facebook and Threads. Plans include sending out 30-40 physical advanced review copies to speech-language pathologists, book reviewers, and baby/toddler moms who have "influencer" status. Influencers who have promoted my past board books have already been contacted and have signed on to post around launch date. SLP baby/toddler book raffle giveaway planned with at least 6 other authors, possible collaboration with Ninewise Publishing for a book giveaway including all three of my books at the time of launch. Other giveaways will include signed copies of my book along with gift cards or toys/games related to the book's theme. Freebies that require E-mail sign-up will be shared including printable coloring pages, matching games, puzzles, packets of tips related to early communication skills. I have applied for a Kirkus review and plan to send a physical galley to School Library Journal for possible review. I plan to enter a high number of contests that include a designated board book category and sharing any mentions/awards. Social media posts to include: book giveaways, mentions/awards, sharing book reviews, author blog interviews, behind-the-scenes making of the book posts, tips for using the book to promote speech-language skills.

Other Promotions and Advertising: NetGalley promotions, Facebook/Instagram paid ads, likely Amazon ads upon launch

My family really enjoyed this cute, bite-sized baby book!

It was thoughtful that the book allowed for multiple family members to be involved in the story. When I read it to my children who are five, seven, and two, they all found something to enjoy even though they are different ages.

The artwork is cute and friendly. One of things that always draws children in are bright colors and the larger eyes. It feels very open and non threatening.

The story is engaging with sweet little animals featured throughout.

The poop portion made my kids laugh. It doesn’t matter the age, poop is ALWAYS funny for kids.

The instructional portion at the front of book helps the parent or caregiver know the best way to present the book to a baby or child. A veteran parent may think it unnecessary but I think it’s helpful for a new parent, especially one that doesn’t have much experience reading to a young kiddo.

Our family definitely recommends this one! Thank you to NetGalley for advanced reader copy.

Perfection in board book form. That’s how I would describe Hi, How Are You? It’s short. It’s sweet. It’s silly. And it’s a book that I don’t mind reading over and over and over—as I have! Hi, How Are You? takes a mooing cow and unexpectedly pairs him with a booing ghost, a pooing baby, and more! But the goodness doesn’t stop there. Because Rosenweig is a speech-language pathologist, she includes tips about how to use her book to boost language skills in your little one. Hi, How Are You? doesn’t release until December 2, but this book has it all, so keep it on your radar! It’s perfect for daycares, parents of toddlers and parents-to-be.

As a speech-language pathologist, I loved this book! It offers fantastic support for parents right from the start, with practical tips for boosting language. The rhyming, simple words, and opportunities to incorporate lots of language make it an SLP’s dream. It would also make an excellent baby shower gift or a thoughtful present for any little one in your life.
