This book captures the magic feeling that reading brings. I love the way the stories fill the whole page with the images that the kid is conjuring up in his imagination. Most kids don't have to be sold on books, but this is a good one to use to lure in those who are less interested in books.

This book is full of amazing illustrations demonstrating the magic of books. The story is told in rhyming format with the narrator describing what he reads and why he reads. This is a great book to read with young children (JK/SK) to demonstrate how imagination, travel and other worlds are opened up with books. A great book for any library, public, school, classroom and home

Apri un libro e trovi...

...pirati che tirano su tesori al canto di poemi epici;

...squali che masticano banchi di scuola;

...alieni che leggono durante viaggi spaziali;

...cani di ogni razza, e ricette di ogni Paese;

...avventure infinite.

Tutte da amare.

Un viaggio colorato nell'avventura della lettura, vissuto attraverso gli occhi e la nutrita fantasia di un bambino.

Per ricordarci - sempre - perché amiamo leggere.

Delizioso.

What's not to love about a book about loving books?! I Love a Book is adorable! This book could singlehandedly grow a new generation of bookworms, introducing them to the portable magic found between pages.

I would have loved reading this as a child and was delighted reading it as an adult. While other adults have coffee table books that make them seem more cultured than they probably are, my coffee table books consist of children's books and I look forward to adding this one to them.

The words flow so well and the illustrations complement the poetry beautifully. The illustrations are extraordinary! Brightly coloured and detailed, they captured my imagination. Each time I look at a page I see something new. There are stories to be discovered in each of the illustrations. I both want to tell those stories and hear from children the adventures they see taking place on each page.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley (thank you very much to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Moonlight Press) in exchange for honest feedback. I'd happily recommend this book for child and adult bookworms alike.

This title is beyond delightful! The illustrations are marvelous and jump from the page as the books come to life in the imagination of the small boy. He must truly read the most amazing books. Who would be able to sleep when thinking about a cow in a tree, pirate ships and monsters in the classroom?

This title perfectly captures what enamored me of books as a child and made me turn to library science as a career. I will happily add this to our home library and recommend it to school and public libraries to foster a deep love of books in children.

I enjoyed reading this book, it may encourage children to read books with their parents at night and encourage a pleasure of reading. The illustrations are very bright and modern and would allow the children to delve deeper into the world created inside the book.

Every library and library lover should have this book in their collection. Our little hero is a book addict. There is no way her can go to be when there are pirates, dinosaurs, and robots to read about. There is no such thing as enough books. A lesson we should teach all kids early on. The story is helped along with colorful illustrations and a sing song rhyming pattern that is sure to please everyone.

Rhatigan’s picture book for children on the delights of reading is quite the treasure. I read this with my cubs. While all enjoyed it (including this oversized bookworm), it is really geared to younger ages. Beautiful artwork dominates, showing snippets from all kinds of tales. It was rather neat to recognise some, like Moby Dick.

We follow, through rhyming verse, a little boy who LOVES to read. He sounds very like me when I was a wee cubling, and how some of mine are now. Even today, I always have a book to hand.

📚📚📚📚📚 Highly recommended. A definite jewel to brighten any children's shelf

This book is a celebratory party of books... books being the guests of honour. It celebrates the gift of reading and stimulates imaginations as to where an engaging book can take you.

A young boy cannot read enough books and from morning to night, by reading them, he experiences cows in a tree, a pirate ship without a crew, gum chewing sharks in a classroom, singing frogs high up on a cloud, alien bookcases and dinosaurs wearing shoes, just to highlight a few. How exciting is that? It's no wonder at the end of the day he is still in party mood and wants to keep on reading. Everyone loves a great party right?

The book is written in rhyme and the illustrations are simply fantastic. The vibrant colours and action-packed details just pop right off of the page into your psyche. Very very impressive indeed!

The excitement of the little boy makes him unable to go to sleep because he is energized to read one more book (and another ... and another!!). His attitude towards reading is infectious and kids will want to join in his enthusiasm I'm sure. This would be a perfect addition to a classroom, a library or a home setting. It will not disappoint, guaranteed. I highly, highly recommend this book.

This is a cute little story about a boy who loves books. He loves to discover all the secrets they hold and would rather read than fall asleep at night. A narrator lets us know where he finds books to read any why he likes to read them.

I love that this is really about enjoying books in general. It highlights some of the wondrous things that you can learn and discover from books as well as the tales you might find yourself thrust into while reading. From pirates to monsters to animal rescues, there's really no end to what you may come across, and that's the true wonder of books!

The illustrations in this book are gorgeous and fun and I love that there seems to be a mixture of styles. These illustrations are simply magical and really captures the magic of stories and imagination.

This is the perfect picture book for book lovers to read to their little ones or pass on to others to help instill a love of literature in all.

This is easily one of the most wondrous and beautiful books about how magical reading can be I’ve seen in a while. The story and eye catching illustrations reminded me of the joy Reading Rainbow used to instill so that you wanted to immediately pick up a book and be a part of the adventure.

If you have a child who can’t seem to understand why reading is important this is a fantastic opportunity to show them what awaits for them between the pages.

If you have a voracious reader already this is a great reminder of how they became that way and how many other paths there are still to explore.

It’s perfect for libraries, classrooms, and the home; just everywhere in order to encourage reading. It’s easily one of my favorite books I’ve read with my kids lately and it helped us come up with a new list of topics to explore. I can’t get over how beautiful and fun this was, the way it captured the enchanting reason reading is so important in just a few pages.

This is a toddler slash Children book which I receive from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I requested this book because I have four kids in my life who loves to read like me. I thought this would be a beautiful story to read with them. So lets get to my summary and final thoughts about this beautiful book.

This is children book discussing how amazing books are. It explains how if you need answers to something, you can always find it in a book. It explains how exciting reading can be for someone to the young babies. Its gives them the feeling that reading is the best thing in the world which it is. It actually kind of reminded me of Reading Rainbow.

I really did love this book, I feel like it is great for ages 2-8 and the older kids might even like it. It is a great book to get kids motivated at a young age to read. I am an adult and I love this story. It was so sweet and it really describes how much someone can love reading. I would recommend any parent to pick this book up. Its that kind of book you will buy over and over again for people, kind of like Love you forever is. This book is going to be a kids classic and must have. I rate this book a four out of five stars

A cute book - I really loved the art and imagination. Some of the rhyming was a bit forced, but it was fun.

4 stars.
The images in this are amazing! Each page, once read, I would pause and take in all the details. Such a delight to look at. The story is sweet and told in a poetic way, which makes this a good bedtime story for little ones. I think everybody should read this. Obviously if you are reading to a kid at night, he/she is going to be a book lover. So it makes complete sense that they would enjoy a book, about books. Trust me, the artwork alone is enough of a reason to grab this.

What a wonderful love letter to books! In I love a Book our young narrator takes us on a journey through the books he likes to read. I like that fiction and non-fiction books are represented and the illustrations are great. I also love that it talks about a family reading together, that is a great message to end on. Overall this is a fun read that I would recommend.

With well-illustrated pages that children will love to explore as they follow along as you read to them, right through to a treasured book that children keep going back to long after they have outgrown it, this will be a book that your child will treasure for years to come.
From the first page to the last, the pages are stuffed with the love of books and it is infectious. A journey through the book from an adult will remind you of that innocent joy you had for books and the stories contained within when you were younger.
Go on, take a peek, you wont regret it...
