I was thrilled when this came up for review, because I absolutely loved Volume 1. This volume picked up from the end of the previous one, continuing the story without repeating all that had previously happened. The plotting, as with Volume 1, was brilliantly arranged, well explored, and combined with some beautifully noir-inspired illustrations.

This Volume introduced new, intriguing characters, while continuing with old characters, who made it feel familiar. The characters were well explored, following the story arc and developing with each new revelation. The story arc moved along nicely, both in the individual Volume, as well as continuing the overall story arc of both Volumes.

I loved the addition of showing that innocent humans could see demons as humans, not as their demon form. It was great to see the panels that showed them as first demons, from Eddie's POV, then as humans from the humans POV.

I can't wait to read more of this series. I'll definitely be buying the volumes in paperback.

The Damned Vol.2 is paranormal  and a mobster graphic novel rolled in one. The demons are all around making deals for souls but only the damned can see them. Eddie is cursed and runs one of the few place demons have agreed not to tread. An old friend comes back into Eddie's life bringing trouble and pitting the demon gangs against each other. Double crosses and intrigue fill the story and keep the pages turning full of action. A unique story line, enjoyable for the originality of the tale and the characters throughout and the quality of the dark, expressive art. It's a fast-paced, attention grabbing dark read. This was amazing! I’m not sure what else to say. I was completely immersed in the story, and felt like this series is truly going to blow up in the graphic novel scene soon. I hadn’t heard of it Devore swing it on NetGalley, however I’m sure I’ll be hearing about it all Over the internet soon. The illustrations were beautifully drawn, and I felt that they were the perfect amount of dark, gorey boldness. I simply cannot wait to read on in this series.

Well written and utterly original!  The Damned is destined to be one the standard by which all comics shall be measured in the years to come.

The Damned by Cullen Bunn, Briant Hurtt, and Bill Crabtree is just damn fun comic book reading.  The book works something like Constantine, but isn't that completely, and something like a classic horror novel with gothic nuances, but isn't that completely either.



Either way, it's finely illustrated and offers a decent amount of entertainment.  Recommended for science fiction/horror readers and those who love a good graphic novel.

Vol 2 was even better than Vol 1. The art is is incredible, the writing fantastic, the story highly action packed and addictive. Full of secrecy and betrayal, blood and deceit, i highly recommend this comic series.

This series is just getting better as it progresses. In the second installment we find out a bit more of our characters' back stories. Each one is built well, even if they're built in quick sequences. They know how to pack information in small spaces. As before, the artwork really shines. The contrasts between dreary and bold set the mood so well. It's a masterful thing that many artists never achieve. As with the first, this is definitely an older teen or adult graphic novel. There's quite a bit of violence and blood, although not really any gore otherwise. There's a decent amount of swearing. I've read books with more but you don't get more than a page or two without finding some. As for sexual content, there are allusions but that's as far as it goes. Overall, it's a very entertaining series so far and I'm excited to follow it from here.
