Get Smarter: Super Fun Travel Activities to Baffle Your Brain

My two kids would have loved having a copy of this book on a long trip. We spent three years living overseas and did as much traveling as possible, so there were many long plane, train, car and bus trips. There are basics, such as crossword puzzles, word searches and Tic Tac Toe. But there are also activities I've never seen, such as scavenger hunts from airplanes to rest stops, tag team stories, and license plate bingo. In addition there are some optical illusion activities. As a parent, I'd much rather have my kids engaged in these activities than see their noses buried in electronic devices. The activities in this book encourage them to utilize the new surroundings they're experiencing to help pass the time.

This book was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see if our library purchases it! I would take it in the car for me to do!

My kids are pretty well traveled and are used to travelling in cars and planes and love seeing new place- but like any young kids- I have two 8 year old boys and a 10 year old girl- the get bored after sitting still for too long. I absolutely LOVE Super Fun Travel Activities to Baffle Your Brain. I am going to buy each kid a copy for our flight to Las Vegas this summer. This book is full of all of the standard busy book favorites- crosswords, word searches, Sudoku, and travel related games galore. I am pretty sure that my kids would love working in this activity book at home when they need something to do as well. I absolutely recommend this book for elementary aged kids for those long road trips or flights!

This awesome travel companion for kids (and the whole family) is a perfect remedy for the "Are We There Yet?" syndrome. Long tedious journeys can be made exciting and fun by letting kids solve puzzles, do word searches, design unique drawings, participate in scavenger hunts, play license plate bingo, engage in tag team stories, and even interact with some optical illusions.... a whole myriad of playfulness that will keep their minds occupied and their little complaining mouths quiet as they take on all the fun challenges that this wonderful book has to offer. Ahhhhhhh! Peace.

There are 75 different activities to tackle and they are all entertaining, not to mention educational. They are sure to be a perfect cure for their unending boredom. I highly recommend this book... all 99 pages of it.

If you have a car trip planned for this summer and you have kids grade 3 and above, do yourself a favor and purchase them this book. They go way beyond Blue Punch Buggy, and the licence plate hunt. There is also areas for tic tac toe, scenic Do you see what I see, etc.

This book was suppose to be for the summer road trip but the kid has found it and wants to start playing the games and working the puzzles now. Who can blame her? Crosswords, sudoku, road trip scavenger hunt, letters to pets, and more. Everything that a kid wants and parents need to slow the “are we there yet? I’m bored” whining.

Have you ever loaded the family into the car to go on a day trip, to go shopping, or to go on vacation? Have you ever heard are we there yet over and over until you wanted to pull over and walk the rest of the way? When my kids were small it never filed 5 minute after getting in the car they were bored and either picking on each other or us.

This book would of saved me a few gray hairs from come trips. It is filled with fun games to keep the kids busy while riding in the car. There are word puzzles, coloring pages, scavenger hunts and more. I like the fact that instead of handing the book to the kids I can print the pages out and hand them one sheet at a time so the book never ends.

The games are for kids of all ages but some are more geared towards I would say 8 to 10 year olds, like the crossword puzzles. /younger kids can have fun too there are coloring pages and my favorite is the draw your own billboard. I like that I can turn this into an educational ride as well. We can discuss the billboards we see then hand them the page and then they can work on making their own. This is great for a break from Are We There Yet!!

Adults Passengers on long car rides can have fun with this book too!!

Get Smarter: Super Fun Travel Activities to Baffle Your Brain is a wonderful activity book to keep kids busy. This book is full of word puzzles, writing prompts, games, and artistic fun. The age range for this book is listed as for ages 6-9. I have a seven year old and while I think he would enjoy some of the pages, I think a lot of them would be really hard, especially for him to do independently. I think this book would be best for the top range of 8-9 year olds. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher. These opinions are entirely my own.

Gotta have this for fun travel and a wonderful way to pass the time! Traveling is part of the experience and can be part of the fun by having ways to enjoy it is part of that. This fun book helps. There are puzzles, games, activities, and challenges great to pass the time in this one book. It includes crossword puzzles, word searches, optical illusion fun, paper and pencil games, and more. Remember a pencil for some games and you'll be enjoying your travel while making the time go quicker too or at least it will feel like it because you'll be having fun.

I have a long car trip next month, so maybe I should save this book for the trip......but I can't stop playing the games already :P A must-have for people (especially kids) who hate long transit time.

Get Smarter: Super Fun Travel Activities to Baffle Your Brain is the perfect travel book! There are 75 different puzzles, ranging from mazes and scavenger hunts, to crosswords, Sudoku, and word searches, among others. I had a digital copy, but plan to get physical ones for the cublings. Not only is this good for travel, but it's good for home too. Think Variety Puzzles magazine for elementary age kids. Not just kids though! Adults are likely to enjoy the more difficult puzzles too. I know I did.
