Utterly enchanting, I already want to return to the Log Fire Cabin for yet another book, as i was utterly hooked on this on this one.

With the exception of Jackson and Sophie I warmed to all the other characters really quickly, and it was great to meet up with old familiar faces from the previous book. Although this can easily be read as a standalone.

The descriptions of the cabin and surrounding area were so well described that I could really picture them. I could see Roxy attempting to ice-skate, I could see Poppy in the supermarket despairing ove flour, and all the other moments in between. It was all just so clear to me.

Roxy is fabulous, she has been hurt in the past which makes her act how she does, and once the reasoning is revealed, well I just wanted to give her a big hug. She has a huge heart and is determined to do a good job for Poppy despite neving having baked before in her life.

If you are a lover of mince pies and gingerbread santas, then you would have been in heaven in Poppy and Roxy's kitchen as those were the main things being made.

There are assorted secrets in the story, all of which were interesting to discover, and kept me interested in all the guests at the cabin. With a wide range of personalities there is never a dull moment. Throughout there were two potential men for Roxy, and although my heart was willing her towards one of them, at points I just wasn't sure if she would get there!

This really is a delightful story, quick and easy to read and a pure pleasure to discover. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and already eager to see what Catherine Ferguson will be writing next.

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

When Roxy proposes to her boyfriend Jackson on live T.V. and he says “er no”, she is absolutely mortified. When she is offered a job as a baking assistant at the Log Fire Cabin, she jumps at the chance. The job will give her the chance to try to put the debacle with Jackson behind her.

As Roxy settles into her new job and makes friends with her boss Poppy, she begins to feel content. That is until Jackson turns up at Log Fire Cabin with a new girlfriend in tow. Can she put her feelings for him to one side or will she succumb to his advances?

From the festive cover to the story inside, this is a wonderful Christmas tale. Roxy is a likeable character who is trying to overcome a traumatic incident in her past. It also features characters from the first book in the Log Fire Cabin series. A great warmhearted book which was a pleasure to read.
