A short but intriguing book of yoga-based exercises for the many muscles in your face. Collins applies the principles of yoga to the neglected muscles of face & neck with exercises that are easy and that will relieve tension and pressure.

Additional chapters cover healthy living and diet.

I admit that I was skeptical about Face Yoga, as I thought it wouldn't make a difference. However, after doing the exercises in this book for a few weeks, I can see a difference in my face.

I must admit that I wasn't entirely sure about this book but was attracted by the fact that it is essentially about yoga for the face, and I was pleasantly surprised when it was evident that the author had extensive knowledge of health, beauty and lifestyle which she incorporates into the book. Not only is Ms Collins a World leading Face Yoga Expert, but she is also a renowned authority in Yoga, Nutrition and Wellbeing and it really shows.

Face Yoga has been scientifically proven to help you look younger in a study by North Western University in Chicago and by doctors in the BBC1 documentary ‘Twinstitute’. It will take rather a while to see results from these quick and easy exercises if there are any benefits or changes to the face at all, but I guess if yoga works on the body there's no reason why it wouldn't have an impact on the facial muscles too.

Rather than a book merely about the benefits of face yoga, there is lots of other helpful information, hints and tips and all are presented in manageable bite-sized chunks for simple digestion. This is the type of book that is more of a reference guide than a "read from cover to cover" affair and I was pleasantly surprised by just how comprehensive it was. I think this would be a great addition to the library of someone looking for a way to improve their facial appearance without spending a small fortune on lotions and potions or cosmetic surgery. Many thanks to Watkins Publishing for an ARC.
