Ian’s Essential Travel Tips is a great book for anyone who travels internationally. Even though some of the information might be designed for the first-time traveler, it also provides a lot of helpful information and tips for even the most seasoned explorer.
The table of contents is well-designed and gives the reader instant access to various topics. The author shares many travel tips and also relates mistakes that he’s made, in order to help the reader avoid the same problems. The ideas are suggestions, not rules, and the reader is left to make his own decisions, based on how he likes to travel and what is comfortable for him.
I enjoyed this book for both its suggestions as well as the inspiration it has given me. My family and I love to travel and now I feel even more impowered to plan and explore with confidence.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book for review.

I love to travel and am always scouring tips and tricks to be safe. I'll be traveling to another (new) country very soon and as happy to have picked up some suggestions by reading Ian's Essential Travel Tips. Also reading through his experiences have made me think of travel in a different light -- one that hopefully is more savvy and safe as this book as taught me. A quick read with great information, I'd recommend it to those who are just beginning to travel and even those who do so regularly.
