This is a beautifully illustrated guide to rituals that can be performed based on the time of year or life situations. It's broken day by calendar month with an index that makes things easy to find. The writing is positive and straightforward. Each ritual/blessing is explained and for projects, there's a nice list of what you'll need to have. This would be a great book to have on hand for when one needs some spiritual support or guidance.

A beautifully presented and well laid out guide, calendar or planner as I think it could be usd for your blessings. It’s set out into easy to follow month by month sections. It’s written in plain English, easy to us and I think great for the beginner and experienced practitioner alike. A wonderful helpful book

This is a very informative and easy to read book and is great for beginners or those who need a refresher. The book has a nice flow to it. Each chapter focuses on a month of the year and the rituals, blessings, intentions and prayers that are good for that time of year. The author clearly explains what each month month means and stands for as well as provides clear instructions on the rituals and blessings. There are beautiful pictures throughout the book as well.. Anyone that has ever watched a Ritual, Ceremony or Meditation given by Athena Perrakis on YouTube knows how gifted she is with putting the most magickal words together. I have often watched and thought "how is she so good at finding the most effective things to say?". Because of this, I jumped at the chance to get an advanced copy of The Book of Blessings and Rituals for my review. She does not disappoint! I love the layout presented in months, making it easy for the reader to jump into this book at the appropriate season. I adore the extra areas she adds in such as medicine bags, alters and incense/perfume for creative projects.. I am immersed in July right now and find her offerings fantastic! The real gems in this book are the blessing and invocations provided, written in the most poetic verse. I do think that this is a book that will be revisited time and time again. Finding meaning and special moments in our lives is so important and can be difficult. This book gives you special things you can do each month to help honor the importance of self-love and appreciation each month.
I love the bright watercolor decorations of this book; they give it a very light and airy feel and make it something that I want to read and look at. This book isn't seeking to teach about religion or spirituality, but as to serve as a tool with which you can add meaning to your life and appreciate the passage of time. I love that nothing listed is long or difficult and that each small ritual and/or blessing is approachable and easy to follow.

I really enjoyed the way this book was presented with the rituals as well as the watercolor pictures. Athena’s rituals felt very lovely to clean and clear my space. These rituals are easy to follow and you don’t need much to be able to do them. I am looking forward to trying the others in the upcoming months

This is truly a stunning one of a kind book. Everything from the graphics to the carefully chosen words, to the actual content, was truly stunning. A very simple guide to rituals and blessings that can be done broken down by month.

There was nothing complex about this book or how to go about performing these rituals which I appreciated. in this crazy life, sometimes that gets a little overwhelming. I needed this gentle reminder of how to find that balance again.

The author is very in tune with creating a ritual that will be beneficial for all walks of life ranging from seasoned professionals to someone new that wants to discover more. I highly recommend this book.

This book contains blessings and rituals pulled from a variety of cultures and organized seasonally. If you know what smudging is and you aren't put off by vision boards this book will likely go over well with you. I was hoping for a greater diversity of rituals myself and was let down when there was nothing for the major life phases (celebrating my daughter becoming a young adult, teen, adult, etc.). I believe this was an artifact of the book's layout and believe that this won't stop most of the book's target audience from enjoying it.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s beautifully written and I loved the layout with blessings and rituals for every month based against a theme for the month. It has some lovely ideas and suggestions in it and I can’t wait to start working through it.

This was a beautiful book. I knew very little about this subject before I began reading "The Book of Blessings and Rituals", and I found the book to be very conducive to a slow, wandering, gentle exploration of the concepts. The artwork is lovely and the blessings really spoke to my spirit. I was completely unfamiliar with rituals such as those found here, but each stop is explained clearly (both the what and the why). The book is presented in monthly segments along the course of a calendar year. Laying the concepts and blessings out that way really emphasized the cyclical nature of life and it's seasons. This book was a warm and honoring introduction to Blessings and Rituals, and I'm so glad that I read it. I look forward to learning more about this topic and author.

WOW WOW WOW! I absolutely fell in LOVE with this book! It delves into the Wheel of the Year, providing insight, but in a way that any person can connect to. It focuses on spirituality, manifestation, and divine celebrations without getting too tied down by any religious aspects related to the aforementioned. While I did see a lot of Wiccan/Pagan influences, I feel as if any one from any religion can benefit from the self-care, self-love practices in this book. And a plus? It's full of wonderful rituals WITH crafting projects to help you create a space of pure love, devotion, and openness.

I will definitely be suggesting this book for purchase and will be looking out for it to purchase once it publishes. Athena Perrakis, you ARE love.

A cute enough book that offers advice for someone who is not a very experienced practitioner, or just starting out. However, if you are an advanced practitioner, you will find nothing new here - most of this info is easily found via youtube videos or a quick google search. However, for someone new to Wicca or Witchcraft, this book could become a handy and charming reference guide

This book surprised me by taking the reader through different rituals beginning with the calendar year, rather than throwing the reader into the wheel of the year. This really makes the book more approachable for someone that is just beginning their exploration of things related to the pagan traditions. I appreciate that beyond simple giving incantations, there are also different projects given every month. These projects are individualized to fit each month's theme during the year.

Overall, this is a great resource for those looking to add more to their craft or simply to freshen up what they are already doing.

This book is so wonderfully organized, to meet your monthly ritual needs it is like having your own personal guide. It explains the Sabbaths as you follow the Wheel of the Year, how to prepare your alter and ritual projects that connect you with each month. I loved how the author gives a complete list of what to gather for your rituals, as well as a step by step guide to performing them. She also includes beautiful invocations and blessings, that help you connect to what that month represents. This book has given me a better understanding of the Wheel of the Year, as well as how to celebrate each Sabbath with renewed understanding of its meaning.

I enjoyed reading this book. The author includes the blessing and rituals based on the month. Included are a variety of practices that span a variety of religions; I enjoyed that so that all religions and beliefs are celebrated.
I loved the color scheme. I wasn't fond of the artwork. It was well done, but not a style I am particularly fond of.

This book is a great guide to blessings and rituals and is easy to read and understand. It is neatly organized and had a lot of useful information. It is perfect for beginners or advanced users. I defiantly recommend this book.!

I went into this book with an open mind as it has loads of rituals and practices that I was a little unsure / sceptical about when I first received it. It would not appeal to everyone but I am so glad that I took the time to read it over a couple times. It is a spiritual book that that is set out by the months of the year. Each month has a blessing and ritual. It speaks of smudging and rituals which initially scared me off, however when I dug in i became really absorbed.

This is a beautiful little book, which would be the perfect gift for the right person, open to these blessings and especially someone who is looking to heal. I particularly loved the intentions for the Summer Solstice and the use of mandalas throughout the book.

I really liked this book and highly recommend it.

When I first requested this book I didn't exactly know what to expect, but holy cow. This book, you guys, was amazing. It's split into months, each month has a theme. For example - January is the month of new beginnings. February is the month of new and universal love. October is the month of the dead, and so on and so forth. Then within each month are invocations, blessings, and two projects per month. Some examples of the projects are a home healing altar (April), making a protection bundle (October), or doing a yule ritual (December). They all seem pretty straightforward. As someone that is still pretty new to holistic healing and this way of life, I found the instructions easy to follow and even fun. I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested. It's a quick read, but the information in it gives you a bang for your buck.

An enjoyable book with lots of positive affirmation style blessings and rituals to give you things to focus intentions on. The calendar was lovely, as was the blending of various beliefs, my only complaint was the artwork didn't quite sit right with me.

This was such a beautiful book from cover to cover. The organization of it is easy and naturally flows from one topic/situation to another. I found that the rituals were geared to really just about any level of reader. I absolutely made some serious notes for my personal use and plan to incorporate quite a few of the blessings into my daily life. Very informative book.

Beautiful, one of my favorites in this genre. I've only been dabbling for a little while so I can't speak to much beyond my own impressions but I liked the tone of the blessings and rituals. There was a seriousness to them that I appreciated.

The Book of Blessings and Rituals is so full of information. It follows the calendar year giving us rituals to coincide with the celebrations and religious traditions each month. It is a wonderful resource to turn to and follow throughout the year. Great if just want to learn more about the rituals and practices around the world and within witchcraft, but it teaches everything you need to put them into practice if you so choose.

A lovely book filled with so many spiritual gems, a new favorite. Beautifully written and a nice lay out, including a calendar that gives you monthly rituals. I can't wait to work my way through this for the next year.

Such a special book! Athena covers many of the incantations/prayers/meditations she has done in her live online rituals, as well as many of the crafts she's done in her online classes. You can find them separated by months of the year, so even if you do not celebrate the pagan wheel of the year festivals, you can follow the seasonal shifts. Athena always makes her books open to people of all faiths, thus if you do not recognize yourself as a wiccan/pagan practitioner you will still feel comfortable incorporating her rituals and meditations in your own practice. I especially enjoyed having her classic guardians of the gateways incantation written out as that can be used in every ritual and you can also tweak it to fit your own practice/taste. I also loved all the crafting it's always so satisfying to take something abstract and incorporate it into something concrete and physical. A fast and easy to follow read, highly recommended.
