This is such an important book. The illustrations are cool, Greta Thunberg’s story is laid out concisely, and the basics of climate crisis are laid out in clear and understandable terms. It answers questions from “What is climate change?” to “what difference can half a degree make in 80 years?” and makes it all personal. It gives clear advice for what we should all be doing on a practical daily level, and what we should be getting our governments to work on, on a larger scale. This book is important for children and adults- a must-read.

This is such a great book. I loved every minute of it. I have been following Greta for a while now and to see her full story in one book is amazing. I have so much respect for that inspiring young girl. Do not underestimate her power. With this natural crisis, which I worry about a lot, it is helpful to see it all in one place. More people should read this

I want this book in my classroom library! "We Are All Greta", which is expected to be published on September 24, 2019 is a beautiful book that truly is inspiring. Highlighting the activism of Nobel Peace Prize nominee Greta Thunberg, author Valentina Giannella uses scientific research to show the current state of our world and how each of us can contribute to solving the climate crisis. What may surprise readers is how so many of our current world's problems - poverty, deforestation, global warming, food wastage - are related to the larger issue of climate change. As I read, I kept finding myself thinking about what I could still do to further lower my footprint. We all need to lower our footprints - and this book is a great place to start.

With thanks to NetGalley and @laurencekingpub for allowing me to read and review an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

"The more Greta realized that she was able to make a difference, the stronger and more powerful she felt."

I loved the book: the way information was communicating with the reader without being read as a textbook. Climate change is nowadays a hot issue and rightfully so. I cannot recommend the book enough!

I would like to thank the publisher for giving me a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

5 stars

Books like We Are All Greta should be required reading material, everywhere! We are at a critical point where action must be taken if we want any chance of preventing further climate change and global warming - before it is too late.

We are on a course of irreversible, man-made damage to our planet, but we can all play a part in saving. Just by making what may seem as small changes to our everyday lives will, in turn, have an even greater impact on our planet. If you want to do your part, then read this book!

It's about time we take care of our planet and do whatever we can to protect it - because there is no planet B.

As I’m writing this review, young people and activists are gathering in cities and towns across the globe to raise awareness amongst the worlds population of the existential emergency we face as a planet. The science speaks for itself, but politicians and big business still seem to have their heads in the sands. Even those that listen don’t seem to realise the problem. They talk down to them blaming each other for the crisis. It’s almost like saying to a little kid, well done and then turning away whilst continuing to pursue policies to make it worse.

For all those doubters, read this book. Learn from the science of it. It’s aimed at teenagers but yet it’s eloquent and reasoned vocabulary, it puts the science across in terms that are easy to understand. The chapters highlight what we must avoid, what will happen to the earth if we don’t act now. There’s tips how to adapt yourself so you don’t add to the heating so much.

At first I wondered if this was another of those books that was there to cash in on the climate emergency. I approached it with scepticism, yet after reading the words, I no longer worry. It should be in ever school library in the world, along with the speeches of Greta Thunberg. Lots of figure, not false news. The youth of this world inherit the earth but yet the older statesman and companies care more about profit than doing something together to stop this happening,

Sorry to ‘get on my soapbox’ but it’s just I feel strongly about this. Millions of young people across the world also feel this way. Read this book now, it might just help us change the world.
