Description
A beautiful pop-up book as you've never seen before.
Swing through the lush jungle canopy, crunch across the glittering ice floes, prowl through the savanna grasslands. In each habitat, a wild creature hides. Can you guess who they are from the clues they give about themselves?
Lift the spectacular spiral pop up to reveal the answer and meet each magnificent animal in its home.
Children learn what the animal eats, where it lives, what it looks like and what animal family it belongs to, as well as some quirky and funny facts about it. The reader then reveals by pulling up a tab on the opposite page, a creature suspended on a sturdy but invisible plastic cord. The creature appears in a whirlwind of spiralling paper at home in its natural environment. At the animal's feet is its name and so the pop up reveals the answer in a uniquely beautiful and satisfying way.

A wonderfully fun and beautifully bright introduction to animals and their habitats. I look forward to seeing the page layouts in person in the shop!
Whose Habitat is That? by Lucille Piketty is a fun little learning book. I think it’s made for older children who know a bit about animals already. The illustrations are great and the description of the animals are very good. I think the idea of it being a pop up book is brilliant too.
I love a good popup book and this one of the best ones out there. I cherish a children's book when it is both informative and fun. This has all the things I love in a good children's book and a little more!
The colours and the illustrations are just perfect and I love the pages where one tries to find the animal in its natural habitat. So clever and so fun! The only downside is that it felt too short. I wish there were more animals!
A wonderful look at some fascinating animals in their habitats!
I can’t wait to see the actual pop ups as the ebook version obviously lacked that experience. The text - although short - was full of facts about each animal for budding explorers!
I loved the idea for this book, it had plenty for young ones to get involved with and guess who lived in the different habitat. It was a lovely book to read with my daughter.
The colours and the illustrations are nice and bright and it was a fun read.
The only downside was the number of animals in the book - I do wish that there had been a few more.
It is 4 stars from me for this one, highly recommended!
I loved this book and recomed it to all the people who have little humans at home. This is such a lovely illustrated book to learn about animals and birds. It's just like a riddle. The is a detailed description of the habitat, the animal/bird description, their food, their traits and some trivia. The children have to try to guess the animal/bird. The next picture has the animal/bird camouflaged in the picture that they have to discover and then their habitat. The next page has the picture of the animal/bird.
It is amazing! I throughly enjoyed the book. Definitely recommend. Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for giving me an e ARC in exchange for my honest review.
A beautiful book with amazing illustrations. A great one to dib in and out of. I liked this a lot and would definitely purchase in paper form.
A beautifully illustrated non-fiction book.
Lots of excellent and surprising animal facts. I learnt lots of new things myself.
The fact page, hidden picture and slow reveal lead to a sense of anticipation.
I particularly loved the artwork and could see this book being a great text for use in KS1. It would be a rich source of vocabulary and would inspire lots of creativity.
I'd definitely recommend for 5-7 year olds.
