I like that they are easily adaptable to add animal products to make your whole family happy with the meal presented to them. (I also believe, personally, that "cheese" that does not come from an animal is udder nonsense! - smirk- ) The recipes are well written and understandable by cooks of all levels and the photos make the food very appealing to myself and other lovers of food out there. What I especially love about the book is that it uses mostly whole ingredients instead of pre-prepared and packaged foods. I do draw the line at making my own cheese beyond a quickly-made mozzarella, and canning tomatoes but the more "ingredients" you use the better. My one nephew says that I never have any food in my house, only ingredients --- that is why I cook so much. I also refuse to eat or cook with Frankenfoods such as "chick'n" and its 88 ingredients vs. 🐔chicken🐔 having one. As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I simply adore emojis (outside of their incessant use by "🙏-ed Social Influencer Millennials/#BachelorNation survivors/Tik-Tok and YouTube Millionaires/snowflakes / literally-like-overusers etc. " on Instagram and Twitter... A wonderful cookbook filled with a huge variety of Plant-Based Buddha Bowls. Bowls are divided by category: breakfast, vegetable, noodle, hummus, brothy, and sweet bowls. Sauce recipes are included as well for whatever bowl you decide to make. I loved the huge breadth of mouthwatering healthy vegan recipes. My only complaint is that I wish there were more pictures. The ones included are stunning and vibrant. There are so many amazing recipes in this book! Thank you Quarto Publishing Group – Harvard Common Press and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

'Plant Based Buddha Bowls' by Kelli Foster is a beautifully portrayed book of recipes, but this book will not just sit on the coffee table! The recipes are full of accessible ingredients, while being creative, and a great flavour. I love 'bowl' based recipes, but so many of them are just salad and meat! As a vegetarian, I usually have to adapt my recipe to align with my tastes. With Plant Based Buddha Bowls, not only are there numerous meat free options, but they're all delicious! I highly recommend this book, and have enjoyed everything I've made from the book so far. #NetGalley #PlantBasedBuddhaBowls

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy of this cookbook in exchange for honest feedback. First, I would love to say that the cover is very appealing. It gives me the impression of a high-quality professional publication. The contents of this publication include a primer to buddha bowls, sauces, breakfast bowls, vegetable power bowls, rice and grain bowls, lentil and bean bowls, noodle bowls, hummus bowls, brothy bowls, and sweet bowls. I've not had many Buddha bowls, but I am interested in learning about their components and how they're made, especially considering that they are gaining in popularity in my area. One of the recipe sections that I really thought were valuable was the vegetable power bowls. The photography of the dishes was so appealing, I was really wishing I could make something as delicious looking as these! Also, the sweet bowls looked really great -- the pbj nice cream bowl looked amazing. I am going to try that one as soon as possible.

Plant based Buddha Bowls is an excellent addition to any cookbook collection. When I first saw the book, I was intrigued but a bit skeptical. I’m a vegan and well aware of the concept of a Buddha bowl which often contains some combination of veggies, grains, and legumes. However, I often find myself making the same combinations over and over again until I get bored. The beauty of a Buddha bowl is that it’s a quick meal. If I have to waste time thinking of different interesting combinations, I will end up just saying forget it, let me go to whichever restaurant I like that makes them, and let me buy one. This book takes out a lot of the guess work regarding which flavor profiles go well together. I look forward to adding this to my collection when it comes out, and anticipate both myself and my omnivore husband will benefit from it! Such a wonderful book with delicious buddha bowl recipes. Everything looks delicious! I wish every bowl had a picture attached, because pictures of food are essential in a book like this. I eat buddha bowls almost daily, and I'm always looking for new ideas. It is quite easy to make the same dishes over and over again, and even a simple change of sauce of changing a few key ingredients can make a big difference. I immediately found a few new things I will try. I already know I'll love them. The great thing about buddha bowls is that if you don't care for an ingredient, you can just forget about it, or add a favourite of yours into the mix. The book is to the point, there is no extra fuss, no long background stories, which I think have nothing to do with a book filled with recipes. I also enjoyed the split in different categories of buddha bowls. Highly recommended!

This is a great little cookbook. It jumps right into the recipes, without all the science behind why you should eat this way, and organizes by food group - hummus bowls, lentil bowls, etc... The recipes are quick and with simple ingredients you will already have or can easily find. Also lots of great sauces!

I am a huge fan of Buddha Bowls, as they are infinitely customizable, so I was very excited to get this book to review. First of all, I want to say a big THANK YOU that this “Plant based“ cookbook is fully vegan (I really hate the new trend of books saying they’re plant-based but then doing a bait and switch by having meat and dairy in the recipes). Not only are these recipes vegan but many are also WFPB, as there are few processed ingredients being used (and very little oil). This book includes recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even dessert. One thing to note is that while this cookbook is not marketed as gluten-free, at least half of the recipes have no gluten, and the rest are very easily adaptable (for example, subbing rice for barley, or gluten-free ramen for regular ramen). My only small complaint would be that I wish there were more photos in the book; I think pictures are very important in a cookbook. Otherwise this is a fantastic cookbook! Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go try the BBQ Tofu Quinoa Bowl.

Brilliant recipes, beautiful photographs and instructions which are easy to follow, there is a lot to love about this book! I really like Buddha Bowls but have been put off in the past by the sheer number of ingredients in other books - this has a lot of recipes which helpfully make use of the same types of ingredients. There is also a really useful “get a head start” section on a lot of the recipes with steps that can be made ahead, such a good idea. I’ve started with one of the tofu recipes which was lovely, and I can’t wait to try out more. Great book! This is a really beautiful book, with fabulous photos. I haven't tried the recipes yet, but they look great and there's loads of variety. The only downside is that there isn't a picture of every recipe. I would much prefer that when buying a cookbook. Hence the four stars rather than five.

I've been generally following a low carb diet for some years but have always had some curiousity about plant based eating as more meatless options have gained traction. This book is beautifully laid out and very easy to follow thanks to an author who very obviously loves food every bit as much as I do. The recipes are thoughtful, with plays on flavour that I found inspiring. More importantly the majority of listed ingredients are readily available- there are no obstacles to getting started. My one criticism along the same lines is I felt with so many bowls having similar ingredients slightly rearranged that they began to feel repetitive, with only a different topping or sauce to distinguish between. I still found a lot of good recipes to consider at some point in the future, and as an introduction I learned a lot.

A great resource for those who love the convenience of a one-bowl nutritious meal. The book includes options for breakfast as well as sweet treat bowls. With the exception of breakfast and dessert, the recipes are divided according to featured ingredient. For example, there is a section on noodle bowls, broth bowls, rice and grain bowls, etc. Most recipes also include helpful tips about how you can get a head start on preparing a particular recipe, because as any vegan/vegetarian knows, the prep for Buddha bowls can be quite labor-intensive. My only criticism is that I wish that the author had provided nutritional information for each recipe per serving, i.e., calories, protein, carbs, fiber, and sodium. Still even without this information, this book is a great resource for vegan/vegetarians and for those just wanting to eat healthier.

Plant-Based Buddha Bowls is a lovely healthy cookbook. Simplicity and flexibility are key with easy to make quick recipes using simple plant based ingredients. I loved the way it is organised and the lack of waffle about methods and tools. It gets into the recipes quickly, and the photographs are beautiful. The best thing is how easy it is to tweak the recipes to your own tastes and diet. Overall a lovely healthy cookbook

This cookbook gives basic reasoning and a way to enjoy some good vegan food. i saw a few recipes that I really liked. The instructions are easy to follow and sometimes include quick tips to handle your busy schedule. My favorite part was the great photos of the food.

This book wants to buy an entire set of new decorative bowls for super creative, fun, and healthful bowl meals. So.e of the recipes were really out of the bowl box which I enjoyed. The dessert bowl section. Is divine!

Plant-Based Buddha Bowls by Kelli Foster is an appealing collection of easy to follow recipes. I have tried a couple so far and am very pleased. I should start by saying that Foster makes a comment in the beginning of the book that I think applies to most recipes but especially to something like this. Namely that these are not so much strict recipes as they are templates to couple with your imagination and palate. The two I tried so far (and just one of the sauces so far) I followed the recipe pretty close, which is my normal for a first try. I want to know the baseline, which for me is the dish as presented, before I make a lot of changes. I really liked these as they were but also am looking forward to different vegetables at different times of year. This is a wonderful book for those who like healthy meals that are also easy to eat. Yeah, that sounds a little odd, but I love just being able to dig in and eat, one of the reasons I like casseroles so much. Or, as some of my friends say, I like shoveling food since I can shovel it into my mouth. But I don't think that is completely accurate, I do savor each bite, I just don't have to take a bite of food A then a bite of food B and chew them together. It's in there! If you're wanting to be more plant-based but not sure what to eat beides a few of the obvious meals, this will offer and endless mix and match for you to eat. Plus, as you experiment, you'll discover new combinations that you can adapt to other dishes besides Buddha Bowls. Reviewed from a copy made available by the publisher via NetGalley.

Synopsis: Kelli Foster created a compilation of 100 nourishing one-bowl vegan meal recipes. What I liked - The recipes are easy to follow along. Clear ingredient lists and instructions are included with every bowl. - Every recipe starts with how the author came across the ingredients or what inspired the dish. - There is a wide variety of flavors to choose from making it easy to select a bowl for breakfast, lunch or dinner. - Most recipes include a box called 'Get a head start!' which tells you the ingredients you can prep beforehand and reheat later making it even easier to treat yourself to a bowl anytime of the day. - Kelli Foster makes cooking nutritious vegan meals very accessible, fun and tasty. What I didn’t like - I missed a time indication. Not everyone cooks at the same speed but having the dishes classed as 'super speedy' and 'is worth the cooking time' would complete this book in my opinion. My first thought in looking through this book is that I want every bowl shown in this book. It played into my desperate need to own a fantastic variety of bowls. But this was definitely surpassed my original expectations. When I think Buddha bowls, I think Farro, some random conglomerate of veggies, and some hummus. To pass this book up because you had a similar thought process to me, don't let this dissuade you from getting this book. Because it so much more, I was particularly stricken with the breakfast bowls, I am a sucker for a bowl of oatmeal, and Kelli Foster has opened up new doors for me to explore. But also there are some really delicious-looking, "Sweet bowls" as well. I am sure I will be using this all year round with the variety of recipes in this book.

Wow. What a book I want for my keeper shelf! A great way to be intimidated by healthy plant-based bowls too, if not for all the info, recipes, and photos. I can't wait to try them all. Highly recommended.

I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS COOKBOOK!!! I have had access to it for about a week now and I've already made 7 or 8 meals from it. My family and I are very into buddha bowls but were getting kind of bored with the typical ones we would make (rice, roasted veg, chicken), and this cookbook is perfect to spice that up. The sauces are all to die for, with my favourite being anything including Miso paste. Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to have an advanced copy. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone who is a vegetarian, or wanting to eat a bit healthier, and wants some creative and easy recipes.

Kelli Foster explains what a Buddha bowl is, the four layers, and how to make them. I really like that she notes what ingredients can be prepared ahead for each bowl (think meal prep) so you can just put them together quickly during the week. The first chapter is devoted entirely to sauces, my favorite! These can make or break your bowl, and can be used for many other recipes and on salads. Foster even notes how long each can be stored. The bowl recipes are categorized into chapters, each with a theme: breakfast, vegetable, rice and grain, etc. Only some bowls are accompanied by pictures. The recipes generally take 30 minutes or less to prepare for four servings. Some ingredients seem exotic to me so they will likely only be found at specialty grocers. This is a 5-star recipe book for me. While I won’t be making everything in it, I look forward to those with commonly available ingredients. This is a lovely book - I've already decided it will make a great present for my sister! The recipes are gorgeous, full of varied ingredients and there are pictures to illustrate the recipes. The recipes are quick and easy to follow. I've been looking for a book on Buddha Bowls recently and as a vegan this is perfect.

This book is just full of amazing recipes and beautiful pictures. Brussels sprouts, beets, hummus: delicious ingredients that I can't wait to use to make these meals. Special mention goes out to the sweet bowls that everyone will love, including my 2 year old.

Fantastic book! Following a plant based lifestyle myself- this book has wonderful and fairly easy and adaptable recipes. I am also a board certified obesity medicine doctor and culinary medicine certified doctor. I plan to incorporate some of these recipes into my cooking classes and offer tips about how to add more vegetables into people's diet. I enjoy this author's recipes on The Kitchn. A good follow up to her previous Buddha bowls book. Loved it Thanks to NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy.

The title intrigued me - Buddha Bowls - but it turns out that they are nothing more than any bowl that includes a complete meal - think Bowl Food from 2002. Still the recipes, all vegan, are interesting and varied, tasty and nutritious. I especially liked the various dressings on offer - creamy cashew and lemon have both become favourites. I'm too old fashioned/traditional or whatever for the breakfast bowls (kale, cauliflower, quinoa just nope) but each to their own. Lunch/dinner ones are best to my mind, being versatile and filling. with good use of a variety of staples - grains, legumes, pasta, noodles - and interesting mix of veggies. Not sure why the humble potato doesn't feature much though. The ingredients are mostly easily available although, for me, ripe avocados and plantains of any sort are rare to non existent in my local shops and I would have to run to the internet for the various noodles.. I have tried Buddha Bowls on my travels and found them very nutritious and filling. When I found this book I was at a point where I needed to improve my diet. Lockdown had made me lazy in my food choices. This book is ideal for someone who wants to improve their nutritional intake and make healthy portable meals to take to work. I use the recipes for breakfast and lunch to go to work. They are far more nutritious than a sandwich! Have fun creating your own recipes using the basic Buddha Bowl steps too! Try the Loaded Falafel, Creamy Lemony White Beans with Greens and Chai Poached Pears with Cashew Crumble.

In April I start yoga teacher training and becoming a vegetarian during that time is something I want to strive for and try out; and I think this book is a great guide for finding fun, easier recipes so I don't get bored with my meals. What I enjoyed about this book was that though the meals were really healthy/cleaner eating options, not many of the recipes called for hard to find and outlandish health foods. Some of the veggies will be a seasonal finds but that's not unusual with any cookbook. I liked how the contents were broken into categories: sauces (which, might be my favorite part because I already eat simple- having a chronic illness that affects my digestive system- so I'm always searching for ways to spice up my simple meals without having an irritant), breakfast, plant power, grain bowls and etc. I'm most excited to try my hand at the Loaded Falafel Bowls! fingers crossed.

Yum! This cookbook is full of delicious recipes and flavorful sauces to keep your body healthy and your taste buds thrilled! I highly recommend to plant based devotees and everyone looking to add a bit more fresh to their plate.

I've just discovered Buddha bowls, and so far I've just been inventing my own. So this book is useful to give me ideas to use in my own bowls as well as recipes to follow. As I am already veganish (I eat very minimal amounts of cheese), so the ingredients are already familiar to me. I am trying to eat more wholefoods as well, so this book is ideal. The only thing that will stop me using it regularly is the format in which it was given to me from Net Galley/the publisher - I tried viewing it in the NetGalley shelf app, and the text is quite small; and as a protected PDF in Adobe Digital editions, it was slow and cumbersome, unless in "Fit Page' setting, where only the headlines were legible. Links to the recipes would have been useful in both, and I hope they are included when the book is published for the general public, because it makes it hard and annoying to navigate. I am trying to buy most of new cookery books in kindle format now to save paper and space, but would hesitate with this book - it's not an issue I have experienced before.

What a gorgeous book! Neat, stylized pages filled with an assortment of plant based meals found in a bowl. Most of the recipes contain tofu, curry, hummus, leafy greens, cauliflower rice, beans, with a vegetarian flair. What did I like? While you can mix or match any variety in a Buddha bowl I found most of these combinations not for me. I like a more American rendition. I’m also not a vegan/ vegetarian but love a great meatless monday approach. Would I recommend or buy? This book is for a more strict approach to vegetarian plant based bowl with an Middle East touch since a ton of these include curry, and hummus. Way more healthier for you but I can’t accustom to the flavors. I’d recommend it to people who love those flavors and it is a gorgeous book! Plant-Based Buddah Bowls is a delicious recipe book for plant-based meals full of goodness and a healthier lifestyle. That is the main reason I requested a copy of this book, because I am looking for more variety in my meals and want to try new, healthier meals for myself and my family. I have found myself getting fed up of cooking the same old meals day in day out during lockdown and want a little more variety that's healthier too. This book ticked so many of the boxes to what I was looking for and hoping for. The recipes are nutritious, healthy and delicious looking and paired things together that I never would have thought to put together. Can't wait to try some of these bowl meals out!

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I been wanting to incorporate more vegetables into my diet, and perfect timing, this book arrived! I tried the following recipes: Morning Green Bowls- I like to eat warm breakfast, so I chose this one over the other yogurt- based bowls. The sweet potatoes, and grains kept me full and the added blueberries was nice, in between kale bites. Farmer's Market Bowls- I like sweet potatoes and quinoa, what can I say, I eliminated watercress, but added summer squash and cherry tomatoes and corn, very good. Sweet Potato and Wild Rice Bowls- wild rice are delicious, went very well with sweet potatoes. Chipotle Sweet Potatoes Hummus Bowl- I guess I just really like these ingredients, sweet potatoes, quinoa, lentils Whipped Pineapple- Coconut Bowls- delicious! I had nicecream before, but the added coconut milk took it to a new level PB&J Nice Cream Bowls- again, delicious, tasted like a dream.

Plant-Based Buddha Bowls: 100 Recipes for Nourishing One-Bowl Vegan Meals by Kelli Foster This cookbook by Kelli Foster is fabulous! While they target the book toward vegans, anyone wanting to explore a more plant-based diet would benefit. Someone could swap every recipe out for non-vegan protein without a hitch if desired. However, vegans rejoice! This book is everything! Easy, one bowl, beautiful and well-rounded dishes you can put on the table in no time. An aspect of the text I appreciated was the different spices used from cultures around the world. The recipes included Cuban-inspired dishes, Asian-inspired, and Indian-inspired dishes to name a few. Also, lots of bowl recipes can leave you making up your own sauces or digging through the fridge - not so here! There is an entire section dedicated to this, and wow is that avocado sauce delicious! The Cuban Style Black Bean bowl was a HIT for my family. Everyone enjoyed it, from the 1-year-old to the 40-year-old. For the meat-eaters, I added a little of flank steak and called it a day. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review. I thought this new plant based cookbook was written very well and was beautiful. I made some of the recipes and they worked well and were delicious. This could also work well for people who do not strictly adhere to a plant based diet, by using milk based yogurt or similar in places. I will point out that there are few recipes that are not found in every pantry, but I don't think any were so uncommon that they couldn't be found.

Really liked the way that this was organized and informative. I have been having a hard time finding recipes for my family to enjoy but these are good, simple, and well-thought-out. It also helps that the presentation always looks great!

As a vegetarian I love new ideas and recipes. Plant-Based Buddha Bowls was a freshing fun guide on Buddha bowls which we make often. Even if you're not a vegan or vegetarian they're great recipes for a meatless and heathly snack or breakfast. This is one for my collection.

The idea is to put together one-bowl meals that are loaded with a wholesome variety of ingredients that are balanced between protein, vegetables, and healthy fats. This is a great book if you are interested in this type of eating and with these recipes you will be on a great start to healthy eating all in one bowl.

I learnt a lot by using the recipes in this book - I am not vegan or vegetarian but am trying to lose weight so I thought I would give this a go. The recipes were simple to follow - I now know what a Buddha bowl is. - in my words a one dish bowl meal. I was given an advance copy by the publishers and netgalley but the review is entirely my own.

Buddha bowls are simple to make. Just pile everything you have into a bowl and eat. The value of this book is giving you inspiration for food combinations and sauces that you may not have previously thought of,

I am still struggling with my New Year’s resolutions: eating healthier and reducing food waste. However, I believe Plant-based Buddha Bowls will help me achieve both. Every Sunday I cram my fridge with fruit and veggies along with my good intentions. Every Saturday I feel guilty about throwing out most of said fruit and veg. Usually, I try to use up some of the vegetables in soup. But soon it will be too hot out here in the desert for that solution. This book has some creative ways to either save (i.e., Quick-Pickled Vegetables) or eat in a new way (basically most of the other recipes) your unused produce. My favorite recipes, so far, are the Asparagus and Mushroom Stir Fry Bowl and the Brown Rice and Broccoli Goddess Bowl. Speaking of the Goddess Bowl, the sauces here are simple but delicious. They are especially useful to save any very ripe avocados on your counter. I still have several recipes that I want to make from this book. The Stir Fry Bowl was so good that my husband, a big meat and potatoes guy, asked to eat some and enjoyed it. Overall, easy, delicious and healthy vegan recipes make Plant-based Buddha Bowls a good choice. However, I do wish the book had pictures of every recipe and nutritional information. 4 stars! Plant Based Buddha Bowls by Kelli Foster 100 Recipes for Nourishing One-Bowl Vegan Meals I have long enjoyed Buddha Bowls as an easy way to prepare a quick meal. As I become more and more vegan I look forward to changing up the more common bowls I make, and this book has provided a great deal of inspiration. It has also made me lust after many of the beautiful bowls in the photographs and wonder how many I might be able to find when I am able to go shopping again! The book introduces what Buddha Bowls are and then provides several recipes in each chapter. Chapters are: * Sauces and Extras: some new and some old favorites with ideas for where to try them out * Breakfast Bowls: unusual and varied * Vegetable Power Bowls: unusual and inspiring combinations * Rice and Grain Bowls: intriguing and colorful * Lentil and Bean Bowls: hearty and healthy * Noodle Bowls: Asian inspired (would have enjoyed some others) * Hummus Bowls: plain plus others * Brothy Bowls: different than expected * Sweet Bowls: Made me salivate The Lebanese, Mexican and Italian flavors I gravitate to when making bowls at home were not readily apparent but there were a few Mediterranean options included. I would have liked nutritional information for each recipe and some substitutions for less readily available items but all in all this was a delightful and delicious mental trip through recipes that inspired me to try some new taste ideas when preparing my Buddha Bowl Lunches. Really fantastic. I'm always looking for new and most importantly easy, plant-based recipes. I can't wait to try these. The bowls are healthy, cruelty-free, Earth conscious and EASY - what more could you want! The layout is great, the recipes are simple to read and the colours of the photos really pop. I also love the array of different bowls to choose from and that there's also a generous amount of grain-free options. Love it.

For the past couple of months I have been really intrigued in bowl meals, and happened to stumble upon this little treasure. The recipes that I tried were so delicious and easy to follow. The recipes and photographs of the completed dishes is so well laid out with suggestions for variations to each recipe, it was easy to plan a weekly meal plan. This is definitely a keeper.

Wonderful book that is crammed with lots of easy and delicious recipes. Would make a great gift. Photography makes you drool and recipes are easy and yummy from the ones I tried. Though may have put me off ordering buddha bowls in restaurants now I know how easy they are.

Plant-Based Buddha Bowls is a well written and accessible tutorial guide with recipes developed by Kelli Foster. Due out 4th May 2021 from Quarto on their Harvard Common Press imprint, it's 160 pages and will be available in paperback and ebook formats (ebook available now). I am always on the lookout for tasty, convenient, healthy meals with a big bonus for easy variations which can change the taste and look of the meal depending on what appeals at the time. This book has recipes for mix and match variations for plant-based one-bowl complete meals which include complete proteins, starches, roughage, vegetables and which are also delicious. I'm generally not a super organized plan-ahead type person. Having a selection of previously made ingredients for dinner bowls ready to go is a -workable- way to have nutritiously responsible and tasty food for dinner after work. This collection includes lots and lots of mix-and-match alternatives: start with a base (noodles, rice, and whole grains,for example), add proteins (plant based in this case), plus vegetables, and finish with delicious sauces and dressings. The recipes are arranged thematically: sauces and extras, breakfast bowls, vegetable power bowls, rice and grains, lentils and beans, noodle, hummus, brothy bowls, and sweet bowls. Recipes include a description, yields, ingredients in a bullet style list in a sidebar and step by step clear directions. Ingredients are given with American standard and metric (yay!). Recommended combos are provided in a highlighted text bar along with tips and alternative preparations. Nutritional info is not included. The photography is clear and colorful. At a rough count, about 20-25% of the recipes are accompanied by photos. Serving suggestions are appealing and appropriate. Graphically the book has good contrast and the text is easy to read. This is a good collection of recipes which are anything but bland. This would make a superlative selection for library acquisition, home use, or a good choice for gifting. The versatility of mix-and-match ingredients would make these bowls perfect for meal-prepping. I would also imagine it would be well received by singles or couples who have newly moved into their own places. Five stars. I asked for an advanced reader's copy of Plant-Based Buddha Bowls by Kelli Foster because I have been interested in cooking healthier meals for my family, but like the idea and convenience of it all being in one bowl. This cookbook gives many ideas of how to achieve this. The recipes feature bases of many delicious grains and noodles, combined with vegetables and plant based proteins. Recipes for several tasty dressings are provided, some veering into more spicy ingredients. I really enjoyed all the ideas provided, and the beautiful illustrations of some of the Buddha Bowls. I can even add some meat for my husband and he won't notice that the meal is healthier!
