Thank you NetGalley, Aria & Aries and of course Olivia for this amazing advanced ebook story! What an adorable book this was. That is so full of emotion and that is what I loved most here. The way Olivia's wonderful way of developing her characters that makes them so very likable. You find yourself cheering on this couple. The characters how can you not love those Emma and Finn. Their connection was just fire and simply beautiful! Overall this was such a fabulous read. It sucked me in from start. This book will have you smiling then saying oh my gosh! So much feelings! Loved it! Olivia is an amazing talent of contemporary fiction and romance, whose words takes your breath away and envelops the definition of Romance Writer. Again thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book!
Before the accident, Emma had lost whom she was due to the verbal berating from Paul; however, she further spiralled into uncontrollable behavior with Finn that was not healthy for either party. It was only after the accident that left Emma both intellectually and emotionally became whom she was meant to be. She became softer, a deeper relationship with Freddie, her Mum and Dad and all the great friends who supported her every step.of the way. By loving herself, she found true love again.
Really enjoyed this book. Was completely not what I was expecting but in a really good way. One thing I did not notice at first is that the chapter titles count down to something, telling you immediately that something is going to happen. After this 'life-changing event' we see the aftermath and Emma trying to get her life back on track. This comes with a rather large hiccup but the resolution of the book is exactly what It needed to be. Would have been nice to have an epilogue of sorts to see what actually happens after the ending. I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend :) https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4148673033
I really enjoyed this book. Emma was a great character. Thanks for the opportunity to read and review this book.
An absolutely fantastic read. The chapters start with a break up and Emma entering freefall but the chapters are headed with "no of weeks before" so you get the hint straight away that something big is coming. Wow its unexpected. The chapters then post event are heart warming, fascinating, shocking, awkward, lovely. I think I felt every emotion possible going through this read. Simply gorgeous.
Thank you #Netgalley for the advanced copy! I really enjoyed this book. Part 1 follows Emma, she is contemplating leaving her husband and taking her son Freddie. The night she plans to have the conversation and make the move, her husband, Paul, surprisingly come in to say he is leaving. Emma got what she wanted and she could stay in the house! Emma has a group of girlfriends who are her ride or dies, they jump in as needed and provide her fun girls nights. On one of these fun nights, Emma meets Finn. Emma and Finn spend many lustful nights together mixed with lots of alcohol. One night it caught up with them and after a long night of drinking they did something they both would regret, leading us into part II. Part II follows Emma's recovery and many other surprises. This section of the book went by so quickly as you want to see the progression and what would happen next for Emma.
I really didn’t see the ‘after’ part of this story coming, and although so very sad I really enjoyed this book. The story of Emma, and ‘before’ and ‘after’ a lifechanging event.
I absolutely love rom com/ chick lit books. I mean what's not to love, romantic storylines, a will they won't they tossle, funny laugh out loud moments, a uplifting book that will make you smile from ear to ear. All this plus great characters, great settings and the ability to take you away from all the mess and worry in the world at the moment can be found inside this book. Loved it.
What a journey! Since the beginning, the author builds what feels like a plot twist and you, as a reader, are there in full suspense, feeling like there is this avalanche coming but you don't have an idea what it is or where it will be coming from. And when it happens, it does beautifully. The Love, the drama, the life lessons, the self-harm, friendship, family, the love again, everything since chapter one. It has it all! I Adored it!
Loved this book and didn't want to put it down. It was funny, with romance and drama, what more do you need. Very well written, this is the first book I have read by this author but I will be looking for more. 5 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this eARC
I loved this book, I smiled, I cried and I laughed. The book is in 2 parts, before and after. Emma is married to Paul and they have a son Freddie. Finally realizing that she will break up with Paul, he walks in and says he’s leaving. Emma goes on a night out where she meets Finn where they have many fun evenings and one of those takes a turn for the worse. All the characters in the book are interesting, engaging and fun. I’m really hoping there will be another book about them as I’d love to find out what happens next. It’s a light hearted, romantic, feel good book. 5 stars.
