Cows Have No Top Teeth is part of the Awesome Animals series.

Awesome Animals Series

Awesome Animals is a children’s non-fiction series. It explores the animal kingdom to gently introduce our little ones to body diversity. Each book features an animal which is missing something that we're taught to expect should be there. But these animals don’t just thrive despite that absence, they thrive because of it.

The Awesome Animals series uses a dyslexia-friendly type-face.

With dyslexia, we often focus on the challenges - difficulty reading. But thanks to the way the dyslexic brain is built, people with dyslexia are often creative, intuitive and highly successful. In other words, those people aren't thriving despite their dyslexic brain, they are thriving because of it.

Other books in the series:

Snakes Have No Legs

Pigs Never Sweat

Geckos Don’t Blink

Cows Have No Top Teeth

An adorable book for children. I love how fun and unique these animal books are. I learn multiple new things about animals and it's fun to read! Kelly Tills did a great job at presenting the information in a cute story book for kids to learn while listening to a story.

Cows Have No Top Teeth is another installment in the Awesome Animals series by Kelly Tills. Myself and my little boy love this series and it keeps getting better and better with each book we read. I love how the books are teaching my little boy about animals and there are some things in them that I didn't know either.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for my ARC.

Cute children's book - I enjoyed the cow theme as a cow lover, and the illustration style was a nice change of pace compared to other children's books.

A delightful tale with simple, yet adorable illustrations. It’s just disgusting enough to interest the most reluctant of readers and fascinating enough for the budding young scientists. Tills has crafted an entire series of books tackling the most obscure and interesting scientific facts about animals. They are entertaining and educational, which can be a tricky balance to maintain in children’s books. This one covers the fact that cows have no top teeth. As someone who spends a lot of time around cows, I appreciated how the simple concept of cows having only bottom teeth had an entire book written devoted to it. The text is easy enough for younger readers to tackle independently and also has some great vocabulary that can be used for lessons. This is one that classrooms will want to add to the science shelf along with the other books in the series.

A funny look on how cows eat. I didn't know that cows had no top teeth and what a fun fact to learn with your kiddos. Endearing illustrations of cows and how they eat, how they smile, and how they can bring a smile to your child's face reading this book. A great book for you and your child to enjoy together!

A special thank you to Books Go Social and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

This was a fun book for children, even better that it’s educational too. Nicely done abs goes well with the Snakes book by the same author that I also reviewed recently.

It’s not often that children’s picture books teaches me information I hadn’t known. The Awesome Animals series seems to have changed this! We tried both Geckos Don’t Blink and Cows Have No Top Teeth by Kelly Tills.

We read Cows Have No Top Teeth – information I did not know! This one talked about how cows eat, including their love of chewing and how their tummies work. Talks with my kids? Loose wiggly teeth and what if they have to eat with no teeth (go get some grass!), running around the room screaming ewwww about the cows bellies, and I had to stop my son from trying to eat his sisters stuffed toys.

This book is cute! Children will love it! The illustrations are colourful and charming. Children spend several years losing and growing teeth, so they will readily identify with an animal and their teeth (or lack thereof). I can see them drawn in right away by the title itself: they probably never knew that cows have no top teeth!
The book is informative, and children will learn many things about cows in a fun and interesting way. I love the question "What's the lovely thing about you?" at the end of the book! An excellent way to make something that might be considered "different" about a cow, or a child, into something "lovely." I can't wait to read this at storytime, and hear the responses I get!

I would like to thank #NetGalley and #BooksGoSocial for allowing me the opportunity to read this book, in exchange for my honest review.

Cows Have No Top Teeth by Kelly Tills is currently scheduled for release on November 2 2021. In this light-hearted book, learn just how much cows like to chew, even without top teeth. Cows Have No Top Teeth is a fun and informative nonfiction picture book. The illustrations are cute, and catch the eye to hold the attention of the youngest readers. I thought the facts chosen and the phrasing were accessible and interesting. To be perfectly honest, I had no idea that cows have no top teeth, although I did know most of the other information. I liked that the whole concept of this series, that every one and everything has something different about them, and that difference is wonderful.

This book is adorable! And very informative. It takes simple concepts and connects kids' experiences losing teeth with how cows are alike and different from us. Great way to start introducing little ones to these concepts!

This is a funny children's book about cows and how they eat. I didn't know that cows have no top teeth, but somehow, my daughter knew this and she thought I was silly for not knowing. This is a good book, with lovely graphics, which we both enjoyed.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Me and my children enjoyed this story with all the cow's characters within. It's about cow's and how they chew there food. The illustrations want along with the story quite well. My children had fun looking at the pictures and laughing with the story.
