A murder that remains a mystery…
Forty years later, Emily’s murder remains unsolved. Her friends closed ranks, her family retreated inwards, the community moved on. But all that’s about to change.
One final chance to uncover a killer…
Andrea Oliver arrives in town with a simple assignment: to protect a judge receiving death threats. But her assignment is a cover. Because, in reality, Andrea is here to find justice for Emily – and to uncover the truth before the killer decides to silence her too…

An unputdownable story from an author at the top of her game. Absolutely breathtaking.
Andrea Oliver is qualified as a US Marshall for only hours before she is appointed to protect a judge who has been receiving death threats. As an additional complication, the judge lives in the hometown of her father, a cult leader, whose parole is coming up. She is given a case to solve, which might prevent his parole being granted, but small towns hold big secrets.
Brilliantly plotted and intensely absorbing, the characters are vivid and compelling, and the storyline completely engrossing.
I loved Pieces of Her and this second book in this series was a fabulous surprise.
US Marshal Andrea Oliver arrives in Longbill Beach to protect a judge, following death threats. She meets her new partner, Bible and together they help keep the family safe. But behind the scenes, Andrea is investigating a murder in the town from years ago - the judge's daughter, Emily. Forty years later it remains unsolved and Andrea has a vested interest in a conviction in the case.
As you may well have gathered, this story is focused primarily on Andrea, or Andy. Laura does feature, but not too much. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and like the direction this is heading in. The supporting characters were fabulous and kept me turning the pages. I do hope that Bible continues on in the series. Definitely another one I recommend, but read book 1 first. 4.5*
