Description

For the love of letters…

Experience has told Jenna Oakhurst that Happy Ever After may happen in all the best stories, but Happy For Now is the best one ought to expect in real life. Yet lately even that isn’t quite enough, so when a strange set of circumstances leads her to discover a mysterious letter in an abandoned storage unit, she takes the chance to embark on a journey into the unknown…just like the heroines from the storybooks.

Reaching out to the letter’s author, Henry Somners, changes Jenna’s world irrevocably and she starts to realise that the magic she believed in as a child might not be such a fanciful notion after all…

‘An original idea, well written and extremely entertaining. I very much enjoyed this book’ Sunday Times bestseller Katie Fforde Readers love Linda Corbett:

Very cute, quick romance read. This book had a unique premise for the plot that I haven't read in the genre before, too. I love the guinea pigs and the animal rescue where much of the story takes place and any book with animals is always a plus.

A great story. Set around a guinea pig rescue centre and a useless x boyfriend and a lovely love story with a great ending. The idea of buy other people’s unpaid storage was great and it led to a brilliant read and a proper ending

The best way to describe this book is cute.

It's the famous trope of girl has boyfriend, meets another man and realises just what a douche her current partner is.

What happens after is friendship blossoming into something quite adorable.

Is Love You from A-Z something completely new?

No it isn't.

Does the predictability take away from the impact of the story?

Again, that's a big no.

Linda has written a story that for me, ticks all the boxes.

The storyline is simple yet enjoyable.

It has some quirky and entertaining characters. My favourite being Jenna's sister and of course the cameos by the adorable guinea pigs.

And Corbett had the ability to make me smile through my entire time of reading it.

Love You From A-Z is one of those novels that reads like a Hallmark movie. Feel-good, fun and flirty. A quick read with a highly satisfying ending.

Really, really cute! Jenna reminded me a little bit of Eleanor Oliphant, who I just absolutely adore. Loved the story development and all of the characters. I laughed and swooned and just felt so happy when it was all over.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Absolutely delightful romantic comedy. It will leave you feeling all warm and tingly. The inclusion of Snickers and his entourage of Guinea pigs makes the book wonderful. It is a wistful story that is great for anyone to read with no explicit details like some Romantic novels include.

The mix of characters are fun and it is refreshing to have a main character that isn’t “perfect” as most books seem to insist on having. It is a well rounded cast that are extremely likeable with a feel good story line. I highly recommend this book as I don’t think you will want to set it down.

Thank you to One More Chapter, Harper Collins via NetGalley for the opportunity to read the ARC of this ebook. Outstanding.

Love You From A-Z by Linda Corbett is a cute romance, perfect for Summer reading poolside or on vacation. Jenna Oakhurst craves stability and security , a consequence of her troubled childhood, so her boyfriend's latest money making scheme of bidding on the contents of abandoned storage units in order to sell the contents online makes her more than a little nervous, especially given some of his past poor decisions. She is trying to be supportive however, so goes along to help him sort through his latest purchases. There she discovers an unopened letter and decides to reach out to the author ,a man named Henry Sommers. As her friendship with Henry develops, Jenna starts to question her current relationship and what really matters most to her.
This sweet read may be very predictable, but I don't think anyone picks up a romance expecting too many surprises along the way. The characters are certainly believable, and even the secondary characters like Jenna's sister and her wife add colour to the story. Setting part of the book at a guinea pig rescue was a fun idea, and it added some very humorous moments to the book. Despite some will they/won't they moments along the way, the ending of the book is just as satisfying as you would hope. I also appreciated that Jenna had a mobility impairment that was incorporated into the story without being the focus of it, something that I have not seen very often in this genre before. The representation is important and it was beautifully handled, and I think it took my rating of the book up a star ,
I read and reviewed an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher, all opinions are my own.

A gorgeous, happy read that fills you with joy. I love Jenna, and it’s wonderful to have the main character have a disability which really does add to the story. Jenna is a strong, independent woman who has had so many knock backs in her life. She’s been stuck in a safe job for the last thirteen years and is living with her hapless boyfriend who has just started a business with his friend, buying storage units and selling the contents. One day, Jenna finds an intriguing letter in a box, in one of the storage units and embarks on a quest to reunite some personal items with Henry, the items owner. As they finally meet and become friends, they join together with Jenna’s sister and her partner, to save the local guinea pig rescue centre threatened by closure. While battling to stop the planning application for new houses to be built on the site of the rescue centre, Henry and Jenna become closer, but can Jenna learn to trust someone and just what is stopping Henry from fully committing his time?
Heartwarming, sweet, romantic and with a frantic, page turning ending!

Jenna's boyfriend buys the contents of a storage locker as part of his new way of making a living. Hidden in the contents Jenna finds a letter, which starts her journey into a new life.
The guinea pig rescue centre in the story reminds me of the next book in my TBR list, which is part of a series set around one for hedgehogs, and is a great setting for it. There is the normal will they / won't they romantic thread, but there are also some sub threads in both Jenna and Henry's life. Personally I'm more like Jenna, liking the security of a regular income and not one for wild adventures, but sometimes wish I could be more adventurous like Henry. I did enjoy the book and would give it 4 1/2 *, but happy tho round it to to 5 as I think that it does deserve it. There was an excerpt from the author's next book, What Would Jane Austen Do which also looks interesting and I'm looking forward to reading that one.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book and I have already placed a pre-order for it

A sweet love story for animal-lovers. Jenna Oakhurst is kind-hearted and popular at work but rather taken for granted by her boyfriend, Matt. Her sister, Evie, works happily at a guinea pig rescue centre, where much of the story takes place. Jenna finds a letter in a box of junk and and determines to find its owner, Henry, who turns out to be rather special. Good to see a plucky heroine whose physical limitations don't define her. You can see the author loves guinea pigs by the way she writes so fondly about them. Great fun to read.

Thank you to One More Chapter, Linda Corbett, and NetGalley for a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review!

I kept seeing this one every time I logged onto the NetGalley site so when I was invited to read it I couldn’t resist!!! And I am so so glad I gave it a go! I read almost the entire story in one sitting because I just needed to know what was going to happen!

I love that this story has disability representation, a lesbian couple, and a Guinea pig rescue!!!!!! Jenna is such a great main character. She is a nice but firm personality, and she is honest towards people when it comes to her mobility issues. I loved that the author included situations in which someone is trying to be helpful or say something they think is nice and Jenna is forthcoming about how it actually comes across! It was a great learning experience as a reader that I will take into my real life!

I love any story with LGBTQ+ representation in it because it SHOULD be present in every single book written anymore because it’s so common and relationships/sexuality/life choices other than just straight/heterosexual/he-she NEED to be represented!

The animal aspect of this story holds a special place in my heart. While I do not know much about Guinea pigs, I think rescuing is so important and adopting from rescues is EXTREMELY important. I love that the author highlights the good times, fun times, bad times, and realistic challenges of rescue life. I also love the love for this rescue from the characters in this book! The support is amazing and the gifts and donations people bestow on Little Paws is something that happens in real life and there are some wonderful unsung heroes out there!

If you’re looking for a non-traditional (imo) love story, consider picking this one up!!!
