This series never disappoints and The Sky Eagles was a great new addition.

Nan goes off on an adventure but when she doesn't return, Rosa has to be brave to try to go and find her. Along the way, she meets a family of eagles and discovers more about how they live.

The beautifully illustrated pages compliment a story that is engaging and educational, teaching you more about the environment and the impact humans have on it. A lovely early chapter book for a reader just gaining in confidence in their skills - any child who loves animals would love to read (or be read) this story.

This is one of my favourite series for younger readers. Rosa lives in a cabin with her very capable Nan, although Nan has been getting a bit forgetful these last few weeks. When Albert the Moose doesn’t return after the winter, Nan decides to go look for him but when she fails to return, Rosa must go search for them both.
Along her journey, she meets Fighorn, a young golden eagle, one who is afraid of leaving his home and family. His parents have two more eggs to care for and he is almost fully grown. Rosa helps him to talk through his problems and they all feel better come morning.
Rosa finds a trail of Nan’s belongings and discovers that Nan has gotten herself lost. Luckily, Fighorn has been watching out for them and he can lead them out of the forest and onto the right path home.
A brilliant story, one that finishes the series. Nan has gone to the city to get checked out and Rosa is caring for everyone around her until Nan gets back.
Filled with animals, nature and awareness of environmental impact, Rosa and Nan live a simple but plentiful life, filled with friends, work and the great outdoors. These are excellent stories for young readers!

These books are so cute. I really enjoy how this deals with being brave, being kind to animals and how you should always believe in yourself. This island sounds like such a lovely place to live! I’m glad that Nan is looking after herself!

Another lovely story in this series, but this time with a very serious message about getting older and the problems with memory loss. I have read all of this series and they are just a joy .
