LOTS of great cocktails in here from your favourite queen .. or one you have never heard of before…their names alone are making the spellchecker lose its mind. Beautiful drinks, beautiful queens and a great way to jazz up a party and your life. Just don’t serve them at story time as the bigots will shut you down!

YASSSSSS WORKKKKKKK.
I am living for the fact that a cookbook like this exists. I am DEFINITELY SPRINTING TO MY BAR CART to whip up some of this decadent looking sips and cocktails. I am so thankful to the publisher and contributors of this book and look forward to September 12, 2023 for publication day.
Dragtails is perfectly over the top! The photos are gorgeous and the tie between drag queens and cocktails is awesome. Starting with 'The Showgirl', inspired by Danny La Rue through dozens of great drag queens and drinks. Loved the Grand Maha-Raja, inspired by Raja Gemini! And all the cocktail have cool suggestions for presentation. This book is wonderful addition for anyone who likes to entertain!
I love a good cocktail book with truly unique recipes that I have never had before. The book definitely fit the bill. There are so many drinks that look amazing and I am so excited to try them all.
I adore the consistency of the title and theme with information about the person who inspired the cocktail included with every recipe. I spent as much time reading the stories as I did reading the recipes.
The artwork is phenomenal. So much of it looks like something I would want to frame and hang in my home bar. The only downside to the art is it makes me want to try all of the drinks immediately, which is probably not the best idea I have ever had.
Overall, one of the best cocktail books I have seen in a long time.
Super fun.
I liked how each dragtail was easy to make and came with a little info about the Drag Queen it's named after.
The pictures were colorful and vibrant and useful to see how your attempt should look.
I received a copy via Net Galley and all opinions are my own.
I had such a fabulous time reading this! This book, a collection of dragtails described by a host of our favourite drag stars, with a foreword written by Raja Gemini, meshes the fierceness of drag with the jollity of cocktail concoction. I loved the descriptions provided by each star on their own background and inspiration for their drink. Many of these sound so easy to make but I know it will definitely be easier said than done (they make it sound easy)! I loved the illustrations but did wish there were other illustrations as well (maybe some of the stars holding their drinks?). All in all, such an enjoyable experience reading this book and I would love to gift this to friends.
Dragtails is a collection of cocktail recipes inspired by drag queens (and kings). The drinks look FABULOUS. I love that each recipe is inspired by different royalty, and they each get a little paragraph of introduction and inspiration. The variety of drinks is impressive.
I totally love that they use images that aren't real pictures. Normally, photographs are one of the highlights in a recipe collection (for me), so I was a little surprised by this choice. And honestly, it's unconventional, but the pictures are so well done, it is really the perfect choice for a a collection of cocktails celebrating the unconventional! I absolutely love this! ❤️
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this eARC in exchange for my honest review on the book!
This is such a fun creative book. For any fan of drag or like entertaining with inventive cocktails this book is an excellent addition
This book, brimming with recipes inspired by drag queens, had the potential to be even more captivating by featuring the outfits they wore alongside the cocktails. I appreciated the inclusion of up-and-coming drag queens in the book. Though it might be a personal quirk, the image of dragon tails lingered in my mind as I read through the content.
