This is a well written story by D.P. Conway. I appreciate the fact that the origin of the story is based on the lives of a real-life family. It is interesting how D.P. stumbled upon this family's plight, and how discovering it inspired him to turn it around, so it has a "feel good" outcome. It was an easy read but with a lot of descriptive language to bring it alive in my mind as I read. It brought home and reminded me that dwelling on the past holds you back from living, while pushing ahead, even through hard times, will eventually bring you to where the clouds clear, and the skies brighten. ~ Bruce Akins

One of my favorite Xmas books, so touching, I pictured the characters in my house, it was that realistic. Touching like A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is! Short, sweet and beautiful story!

An easy, quick read that brought tears to my eyes. Such a sweet way to help someone realize love is there for them if they open themselves to it. Thanks for this!
