Carol Dunstone and Ann Bennett, both survivors of mouth cancer, wrote a book called Trilogy in 2006 based on their experiences that related to their personal story of recovery; what made them laugh and cry and how family and friends raised their spirits. Following its great success, they decided to publish a new book to update their stories, continuing from 2006. And so No Time for Cancer was born, covering the progress that has been made in the passing years which the authors hope will highlight a very definite and positive outlook for their readers.
The book offers practical advice and articles on traditional medical practitioners and complementary therapists who helped and supported their progress throughout their illness. It also includes some very helpful tips and recipes for delicious and nutritious dishes to help those with eating difficulties. The message throughout the book is one of great optimism and love of life, which they hope will be a help and comfort to anyone who is about to undergo surgery or embark on the journey to recovery.
Carol and Ann first met at a FACEFAX support group meeting. They instantly recognised what they both shared – a joie de vivre and a zest for life. Discovering they felt like-minded in their quest for cancer survival techniques, they embarked on a creative journey, writing down their experiences of fighting and beating cancer.

A Note From the Publisher
Carol Dunstone was a full-time ceramic artist until cancer of the mouth was diagnosed in 1998. Her other interests include painting, reading, dog walking and family life. She helped launch the FACEFAX cancer charity in 2001 and Ann Bennett joined her in 2004 after her own successful operation. Ann worked in advertising before qualifying as a hypnotherapy/Reiki practitioner. In 2010 they set up the Dunstone Bennett Complementary Therapy Centre in Northampton for all cancer patients. No Time for Cancer is dedicated to Ann, after her tragic passing earlier this year.
