loved book 1 so was waitingggg for book 2! I needed to know what would happen
Such an interesting fantasy and magic system!
I look forward to more from this author!

Thank you NetGalley for this arc!

Book 2 in the series sees more mystery, more magical powers and a lot of portals. If you love witchy vibes reminiscent of Charmed and Sabrina, I can only recommend this series. It’s a fun read and it was a joy exploring the powers of our FMC Hannah. Thru mirrors, portals and dreams she needs to find her way to solve the mystery of her friend that goes missing.
An abundance of talking cats, is an added bonus 🐈‍⬛🐈😻

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the eARC

The Dream Mirrors is a very creative book with wonderful descriptions that tap into fascinating concepts. I listened to the audio. Loved the narrator, who brought the story to life even more. I slowed down with reading as it had a little too many filter words and stage directions for my personal taste. However, a very creative story filled with wonderful, imaginative details.

I wish I had read book 1! Really enjoyed this short read! Magical elements all the way through - i am a sucker for magic so it definitely hit the reading spot!

Thanks for this ARC read!

I did a co read of this book with the audiobook and I had so much fun. Such a good read, and I’m excited to read more for this author. The plot and narration was great, and the overall book was a fun time. Can’t wait to read more from this author!

This is a very interesting book. I love the mystery and the magical aspects. The dream mirrors are very cool and I love how they are explained and used in the book. The characters are entertaining and fun to learn about. I wish I had the power to read books without reading them. I haven't read the first book but I feel it isn't necessarily needed in order to enjoy this book. The book is easy to follow along with and the book has its own issues that aren't brought from the first book.

I was super excited for this book because Megan did so good with the first one! It was truly the pumpkin spice that I needed. This one however it was very lacking. I lost interest halfway through, it just wasn’t hitting the spot for me. Her work is still truly amazing, I did read all the way to the end, but this one just didn’t get me like the first one did. I’ll still continue the series that is without a doubt.

My favourite aspect was the talking familiars
Overall it was an wonderfully witchy read
Thank you for the opportunity to read this as an arc

Thank you to NetGalley and Megan Mary for the advance review copy.

The Dream Mirrors is a testament to Mary's talent for blending the ethereal with the real in a way that feels both grounded and otherworldly. What starts as a quiet unraveling soon pulls you into haunting dreamscapes, layered emotions, and the cozy-yet-enigmatic charm of Maple Hollow. I was confused at first (totally my fault for skipping book one!), but once I caught up, this story became such a delight. I absolutely loved it.

Book Review: The Dream Mirrors: A Metaphysical Mystery of Magick by Megan Mary

A Spellbinding Journey Through Dreams and Magic
Megan Mary’s The Dream Mirrors—the second installment in the Witches of Maple Hollow series—weaves a lush tapestry of metaphysical intrigue, dreamwalking, and small-town witchcraft. Blending cozy mystery with supernatural depth, this novel invites readers back into Maple Hollow’s enchanted world, where dreams are portals and mirrors hold dangerous secrets.

Key Strengths
-Atmospheric Worldbuilding: Mary’s Maple Hollow is vividly rendered, brimming with whimsical magic and eerie undertones. The dreamscapes, in particular, are immersive and symbolic, echoing Jungian themes of subconscious exploration.
-Character-Driven Mystery: The protagonist’s journey—balancing witchcraft, personal growth, and a supernatural investigation—feels organic and compelling. Returning fans will relish deeper dives into familiar characters.
-Metaphysical Nuance: The book excels in blending esoteric concepts (e.g., dream manipulation, mirror magick) with accessible storytelling, appealing to both fantasy lovers and spiritual seekers.

Potential Considerations
-Series Dependency: New readers might struggle with lore references from The Dream Haunters (Book 1), though Mary provides enough context to avoid total confusion.
-Pacing: The introspective, dream-heavy sections slow the plot at times, prioritizing mood over momentum.

Score Breakdown (Out of 5)
-Worldbuilding: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – A rich, enchanting setting.
-Character Depth: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) – Well-developed, though some side arcs feel truncated.
-Plot Originality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5) – Fresh twists on magical tropes.
-Prose Style: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) – Lyrical but occasionally meandering.
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5) – A mesmerizing follow-up that deepens the series’ magic.

Ideal Audience
-Fans of Practical Magic or The Night Circus seeking cozy yet mystical vibes.
-Readers who enjoy witchy mysteries with psychological depth.
-Those drawn to stories where dreams and reality blur.

Gratitude
Thank you to NetGalley and Megan Mary for the advance review copy. The Dream Mirrors is a testament to Mary’s talent for merging the ethereal with the tangible, leaving readers eager for Maple Hollow’s next chapter.

Final Verdict
With its haunting dreamscapes and charming coven dynamics, The Dream Mirrors solidifies Megan Mary as a standout voice in metaphysical fiction. While its deliberate pace and series ties may not suit everyone, it’s a must-read for those who crave magic that lingers—both in the pages and the subconscious.

Note: This review reflects the ARC edition; minor changes may appear in the final publication.

This was an atmospheric novel that explores important themes of being true to oneself, not allowing other people's thoughts about oneself alter them, and the struggle for positivity through many metaphysical elements like mirrors, dreams, and vortices.

The characters were interesting and even though this was the second in the series I could understand what was going on without having read the first one. I have to admit the pace was slower than I thought it would be. It was seemed to me more an exploration of possible areas of metaphysical information than a high-octane race to save someone. The metaphysical ideas were interesting and it has a positive message; I just thought the sense of menace could have been a bit higher.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dreamy, atmospheric and mystic.
Not fast paced but more of a slow burn and really interesting to pick up a few years after the first book.

This book starts a few years after the events of the first book.
The author always describes the surroundings and the characters beautifully.
There is much magic and it can be a little eerie at times.
Hannah as always is a good character and growing as she goes.
If you like dreams and portals you will love this.
Hannah is trying to discover things through mirrors, portals and dreams to find her friend who has disappeared.
As with the first book thoroughly enjoyable characters and story.
Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher.

The Dream Mirrors by Megan Mary is the second installment of the Witches of Maple Hollow Series. In this second book, after the disappearance of her friends, Hannah uses a magical system of portals and dreams to find them in this Fantasy Mystery.

The narration by Pearl Hewitt gave it a Middle School/YA feel and found myself going back to the eBook to read it instead of listening to the audio.

While I am sure it will be helpful to read the first book, I was able to easily and quickly catch up on the mechanics of the world and magic system without reading the first installment. I do recommend this book for those who like a slow burning mystery in a fantasy backdrop and don't like complex magic systems.

Thank you Inner Realms Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read the ARC and listen to the ALC. All opinions are my own.
