Okay, I didn’t expect to get this into a book about a lunch date—but here we are! Afternoon Rebecca is cute, quirky, and totally real. Like, I was rooting for Rebecca the minute I found out her ex was a loser, and Jeff? Kinda awkward but weirdly charming. And the restaurant crew?? Honestly, I’d read a spin-off just about them. If you want a fun, heart-squeeze of a story with some laughs and low-key drama, you’ll totally vibe with this one. 🍽️❤️

A Sweet Slice of Life with a Side of Romance
Afternoon Rebecca is a gentle, feel-good story that captures the awkward charm of first dates and the hope of second chances. Jeff and Rebecca’s lunch date unfolds with a mix of humor, sincerity, and just the right touch of vulnerability as two people try to move forward from their pasts. What I really enjoyed was how the restaurant staff's little side stories added unexpected depth and a cozy, community feel to the whole narrative. It’s a tender, thoughtful read that made me smile more than once.
