Highlands Christmas
A heartwarming holiday escape filled with charm and quiet magic. This story captures the cozy essence of the Highlands during Christmas, weaving together gentle romance, meaningful moments, and the comforting spirit of the season. Perfect for curling up with a warm drink on a winter evening. A delightful, feel good read.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Highlands New Year
A lovely, uplifting read that beautifully captures the spirit of new beginnings. With a perfect blend of heartfelt moments and cozy charm, it’s a story that leaves you feeling hopeful and refreshed. A wonderful way to start the year.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Highlands Homecoming
A touching and satisfying return to the Highlands, filled with warmth, reflection, and a sense of belonging. This story gently tugs at the heart while celebrating the comfort of coming home. A peaceful, feel good read that lingers long after the last page.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This trilogy was such a lovely, feel-good read. The pace was quick, and I finished each book almost as soon as I picked it up.
Book 1 stood out with its vivid descriptions of a Scottish Christmas, I could almost feel the chill in Inverness and the warmth of the MacGregor family. I liked the straightforward plot, though I wished Colin had been more proactive about finalizing the divorce (given his feelings for Melissa).
Book 2 was lighthearted and fun. I loved learning more about the Scottish traditions peeling back more layers of Lindsay, and meeting new characters like Caitlin, Angus, and Drew. I liked that this book focused more on Lindsay and Caitlin and less on Melissa and Colin, it gave me a chance to connect with the newer characters. I especially liked that this is a closed-door romance series, which makes it more accessible for readers who prefer cleaner stories.
Book 3 was definitely my favourite. It was exciting, tense, and such a beautiful way to wrap up the series. I love that some of the minor characters had a chance to shine, and they didn’t take away from the main plot. There were a few moments I didn’t expect, which made the book even more engaging. I’m also really glad it ended the way it did.
Overall, a sweet and satisfying trilogy I’d recommend to anyone looking for something cozy, clean, and heartwarming.
I was so excited to receive book one-the of The Highlands Trilogy : Books 1-3. Love. Snow. Home.
by Amy Quick Parrish
These novels drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end.
The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor.
I absolutely enjoyed every minute of reading them.
Highlands Christmas Trilogy by Amy Quick Parrish whisked me away to cozy, snow-kissed Scotland three times over—and I didn’t want it to end. First, Highlands Christmas had me swooning over Melissa’s escape, that meet‑cute with Colin, and warm kilted vibes . Then Highlands New Year kept the charm alive with a snowed‑in girls’ trip, Hogmanay celebrations, and Caitlin finding her own sparks with handsome locals . Finally, Highlands Homecoming felt like a cozy bonus, with Melissa and Colin weathering divorce drama, new inn renovations, and a Burns Supper whispering of fresh starts .
Each novella delivers festive cheer, heartwarming romance, and enough Scottish tradition to make me crave tartan and whisky by a roaring fire. The plots are sweet (if a touch predictable), but the friendships, found family, and snow‑blown setting more than make up for it. If you want a quick, comforting trilogy of holiday love, second chances, and Highland magic—it’s like wrapping yourself in your favorite cozy blanket.

These are the first books I have read by Amy and was happy to receive an advance copy. As soon as I started reading,I knew I was going to enjoy the books. Set in the Scottish Highlands(mainly)Melissa, who stays in Boston, gets a letter saying she has inherited a house near Inverness. At the same time, her husband tells her he wants a divorce. So it’s a new start for her,she books a flight to Scotland for her new life and new hope and at the airport she meets Colin, who is going home to see his family. As it turns out,he is the divorce lawyer her husband has employed. We also have Lindsey,Colin’s sister and his Dad Sandy who still runs the family croft. Lindsey and Melissa become goods friends. There is Caitlin,Melissa’s best friend from Boston and Drew and Angus who Caitlin and Lindsey meet on their way to Skye. Margaret runs the estate agency and becomes friends with Sandy and he helps her train her dog. I couldn’t put the books down, they are well worth a read to see how everyone’s lives intertwine. I loved Amy’s writing style, just easy to read and drew you in.

A touching plot full of festive cheer. I loved the settings and although it doesn't show here I love pretending and this book allowed me to do that easily. The characters are lovely and down to earth and because I love Christmas I enjoyed the authors vividly beautiful descriptions of the season. There is love, suspense, animals and heaps of community spirit and activities.
Highlands Christmas
Melissa, an interior designer from New York, is having the perfect Thanksgiving until her husband announces he’d like a divorce. As she’s preparing to leave, she finds a letter informing her she’s inherited a property in Loch Ness. At the airport she meets Colin, her husband’s divorce lawyer who happens to live in Loch Ness and is heading home. As Melissa embraces the Scottish Christmas culture and the warm reception from Colin’s family, they begin to feel the sparks fly. This is a cosy, romantic book that I read in one sitting. The character’s are great and the chemistry builds nicely. The book could have been a little longer, and the Scottish words can be a little tricky to understand, but it’s thoroughly enjoyable and worth reading.
Highlands New Year
Caitlin has flown out to Loch Ness to visit her best friend Melissa. What should be a fun week of sight seeing is soon ruined by the snow storm, although some guitars, good food and rugged lumberjacks soon liven things up. Angus is originally from Scotland, visiting from Boston for the holidays. I loved the instant connection between them both, and learning some of the New Year Scotland traditions. Cozy, easy to read and full of community spirit, book makes a great sequel to ‘Highlands Christmas’.
Highlands Homecoming
Melissa has shipped all of her belongings, and is ready to head back to her new home in Loch Ness. Hoping for the fresh start she desperately needs, the last thing she expected was her ex-husband Dave trying to forge the divorce papers to get his hands on Greenhill House. This was my favourite book of the series. With more Scottish traditions, some unexpected twists and a surprise romance, it was the perfect end to the Highlands Trilogy. This series is cozy, romantic and light-hearted. It is definitely worth reading.

Highlands Christmas:
This was a charming, Christmas second chance romance. Having it set in the highlands of Scotland, is lovely and makes it feel cosy and festive with a beautiful atmosphere.
Melissa and Colin seem very well suited to each other romantically.
Highlands New year:
This felt like a cosy trip to the highlands of Scotland, this second novella, made me more invested in Melissa and Colin’s romance. Adding Caitlin into the story, just added more fun.
The plot flowed beautifully and was engaging the whole time
Highlands Homecoming:
This truly rounded out the series into a nice neat bow. It had unexpected twist, along with same characters that I’ve formed a connection with over the course of the series. It had a very satisfying ending with a sweet romance between Melissa and Colin and her getting her house, along with Dave getting his comeuppance.
Highlands Christmas Trilogy- Books 1-3 🎄
RATING: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you are looking for short, cozy, clean and sweet Christmas reads, this is the trilogy for you!
Each book in the trilogy flows well together, and it’s a journey of self-discovery and beautiful romance.
I highly recommend!
This trilogy was such a cozy, fun read. I actually read all three in one sitting. Each novella had its own charm, but together they created a sweet, satisfying journey that I truly enjoyed (even in the midst of hot New York August!)
Highlands Christmas pulled me in right away and I knew I'd enjoy the omnibus. I could almost feel the chill in Inverness. I thought the story started out SO lovely, though I did agree with another reviewer and wish Colin had been a bit more proactive about his divorce, given his feelings for her. That's the only thing that sort of rubbed me the wrong way in the novella.
Highlands New Year was lighthearted and so much fun to read. It may have been my favorite of the three.
Highlands Homecoming was the perfect ending to the omnibus! I felt like it tied everything together so well and made everything feel full circle. No one really felt overlooked, and the plot seemed complete at the end.
I wanted to rate it 4.5 stars, but it won't allow me to! I decided to round up, because I certainly enjoyed it more than 4 stars. I look forward to reading more of Amy's work in the future!

Highlands Christmas is a lovely trilogy set in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. Anyone who follows my reviews will know that I love a book set around the festive period, even if I am reading it on a balmy summer evening. Nothing gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling like Christmas.
The books are rapid and easy to read. The whole series is only 358 pages. The stories are all about friendship, love and second chances. Each book centres on a different character, but all are connected somehow. I haven't actually read anything by this author before, but her descriptive writing had me feeling the glow of candles and scenting the delicious pines and balsam as I read.
A perfect cosy read, whatever the weather.

Carpe Christmas!
This book was adorable even though it kinda stressed me out at times! Each book has Melissa, the main character getting equal doses of good and bad luck as her marriage ends, leaves Boston, and ends up in Scotland where she has inherited a house.
Her ex-husband is relentless throughout the series and their divorce, so the romance plots and multiple subplots were welcome distractions!
I also enjoyed the Scottish facts, traditions, and culture that was brought in effortlessly while also showcasing the realistic ways it was different (sometimes embarrassingly so) from the American lifestyle we know.
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some short romances who want to see a story all the way through. The chapters and books are on the short side so you can easily put down and pick up, or binge your way through it like I did!
🖤 Thank you to author Amy Quick Parrish, Flying Cactus Publishing, and Net Galley for the digital advanced reader copy. As always, my reviews are honest, my own, and voluntary.
Highlands Christmas is a wonderful, festive trilogy of books that are so easy to read you will fly through them and before you know it you have devoured them all - well thats what happened to me anyway!!
These stories are so heartwarming and definitely left me with my heart feeling very happy, warm & cosy.
They are a perfect hug n a book, full of second chances, love and friendship. Each book concentrates on a different character but all of the books have interconnected stories and i thoroughly enjoyed getting immersed in everyone’s story…..
This trilogy is an absolute delight! It's perfect for a holiday read with a glass of wine and a cozy blanket.
The three stories intertwine perfectly without taking the focus away from the main characters in each individual story. The trilogy is set in the Scottish Highlands and describes the scenery, traditions and food in a manner that makes you feel as though you are there.
Thank you Net Galley for this ARC copy,
This was such a sweet, cosy, and truly delightful read. It perfectly blends a journey of self-rediscovery with an unexpected romance, all set against the stunning, festive backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.
The story follows Melissa, who is left heartbroken and blindsided when her husband, Dave, announces that he wants a divorce, and the house to himself (my dislike for him started immediately, not going to lie!). Just when everything seems to be falling apart, she receives a letter about an inheritance, a home in Scotland. Desperate for a fresh start, she flies to Edinburgh, and the chaos begins the moment she accidentally meets Colin at the airport. I love romances that start like this!
Colin is a charming Scottish-American lawyer with a very attractive accent, and, as fate would have it, he’s also her husband’s divorce lawyer! Their paths keep crossing, on the flight, the train to Inverness, and again in the very town where Melissa’s new home is located. What are the odds?
I loved how the story immediately sets up the forbidden-romance tension. The way their connection evolves from an awkward, accidental meeting into a genuine partnership is so well done. Colin agrees to help Melissa secure the home she believes she’s entitled to, and as they dive into Scottish life, the sparks fly fast. I found myself grinning and laughing throughout. It’s all about how life’s biggest disasters can lead to the most unexpected, perfect paths, and Amy captures that beautifully.
This book is a fantastic Christmas escape that truly embraces the idea that home is where the heart is. The mix of the beautiful Highlands setting, Melissa’s fresh start, and the fairy-tale charm of a handsome lawyer makes it irresistible. It’s a heart-warming “new life, new love” story, with just the right amount of spice! 🌶️🌶️🌶️
If you’re looking for a romantic, feel-good story about finding where you truly belong (even if it means crossing an ocean), you’ll fall in love with Melissa and Colin’s journey. It’s a wonderful, hopeful read for the winter season.

one of my biggest fears when it comes to books that i fall in love with is knowing they are a series. and then you get the fear? what if i miss the publication of the next one? how long to wait? will i get the chance to even read the next one? yeh, im that kind of reader. especially when i get fully invested in my characters and stories. sooooo imagine the joy when we get a book where all three in the series are right there for me.
and am i glad? yes i very much am because i started reading book one and was like "yup, im in".
these books brings us to Melissa. and right at the beginning with are with her for some awful times. because the life she thought she was living is about to be imploded by the fact her husband wants a divorce. errm what now? who gets what? how will she cope? well, the saviour might come in the form of an inheritance she learns she been given. in Scotland. so thinking shes nothing left to lose this is exactly where she heads. on the way, at the airport she happens to run into her husbands divorce lawyer at the airport and dont worry this isnt as bad as we might think it would be or should. Colin is swoony. she and him end up on the same flight, then heading in the same direction, then to the same place. so what could be better than a lawyer to help her make sure she has ownership of this new house? not to mention they might be liking each other a teeny bit. ok ok, a teeny bit a lot. and me too! these two were a delight to get to know. i love how their story came about. that feels like a proper festive story doesn't it. we need these moments where anything can happen in our love stories sometimes. im an old cynic, so if i can love it we all can.
and Melissa certainly falls in love with this place she has landed almost by accident. its starting to really feel like home. the people and the place is feeling like home. because nothing has been more welcoming than the people she has met here. this even in book 1 was such a beautiful story and i was thoroughly invested even at this point.
so to book to. yayyy because i already know i have access to it...
this one brings us to a bit more on our first pairs story but also adds some main new ones. but they of course share a great link. because books one was Colin and Melissa and books 2 is introducing us to Melissa's friend who hears she hot tailed it off to an inherited house and new life. and Colin's sister Lindsay. and what an equally beautiful story they have to tell.
Melissa left in a rush as we know. she felt she had little choice really. when he Best friends feels the need to see if her bestie is ok she decides shes just going to have to go find her in person. so shes off to Scotland.
together with Lindsay they think a trip is in order for all of them. but an accident means Melissa and Colin wont be able to take this trip and the other two decide to keep going on their own. but when a snow storm means they are at few risks themselves they find themselves stuck too. but they might just be stuck in the best of places with some of the very best of people. two of those people is Drew and Angus. amongst some fun and deeper moments all four find connections they didn't see coming at their stay. but can these withstand the bond they've shared past the storm passing? is their connections real or the magic of that New Years feeling?
i really enjoyed this book. it was a great next part in this series. i liked how we get to see different points of view. i thought id find it too hard not to know what was really going on with Melissa and Colin after the last book. but these new four were to great not to enjoy reading their story too. the ony trouble is now i want even more of them to become main characters. plus i have even more characters i need to know are going to have thier happy ever afters.
this book started off with an extra sparkle for me because it was initialy about them all heading to the Isle of Skye for New Years. this is one of my dream but never going to happen destinations. and i cant tell you the joy ive had this year of a fair few brilliant writers basing their books there. or around the highlands. and i mean alot of authors. so there must be some true magic around that part of Scotland and i love soaking it up via these books.
this book hit all the right notes. and even though we are past Christmas for this won(just) it still held all those comforting points to it hitting each one with love, romance and great friends.
right on to book 3 lets see what we have here shall we. and yes im going to say it again. woopeee i already know i have book 3. but i am now a little sad knowing its going to be ending.
this book we are feeling for Melissa all over again. just when we see her about to get her dreams come true. that home all of her own... that ex comes along doesn't he. and the gaul of the man to think he now has a right to her share in this new Scottish home. grrr the things id like to do to this man.
meanwhile Melissa is also trying to help her lovely friend Lindsey open her own inn in Inverness.
and love? well her ex and link to Colin doesn't make things easy. not least these two are still trying to work out their own kinks and baggage. well this book had me in all sorts of nerves.
this is a shorter book but filled with the same warmth and charm we all love from these books and have come to love from this series.
i was truly on edge at some points. part with anger over Dave showing up with his demands. and part because i was at some point concerned over Melissa and Colin.
we travel around a bit in this novel too to try and tie up some ends and this all lends to Amy's fab way of lending a sense of the place to what we are reading. i truly could feel the differing scenes and landscapes we were taken to.
i really great read and a really great series.
i had so much fun with this book and the others. im so thankful to have the bonus of getting all three. id love more opportunity to have this sort of group to read. i think its been such a lovely feeling to have almost a gift of the series on offer to me.

The Highlands Christmas series is an absolute treat—equal parts charm, romance, and cozy Scottish magic. Amy Quick Parrish sweeps readers into the misty Highlands, where new beginnings bloom amid snow-covered hills and second chances.
Book 1 - Melissa and Colin’s chemistry is irresistible, and the friendships, family ties, and festive spirit make these stories as heartwarming as a fireside cup of tea. Yep, I said that. It was a delightful escape for anyone who believes love can find you right where you least expect it, which is what reading romance is all about. Very cute.
Book 2 - Caitlin’s quick wit and Angus’s soulful musician vibe created a chemistry that was also impossible not to root for. It was cozy. I liked it.
Book 3 - the last book tied the series together beautifully. the emotional payoff was solid. There was more of the wonderful, cozy Scottish atmosphere, and the love story felt both earned.
Now I want to read Outlander again.
