Description
RELATIONSHIP EXPERT. SERIAL DISASTER... 😅❤️🩹
Trainee relationship counsellor Delilah is better at breaking couples up than bringing them together. But after one break-up too many, she’s suspended and ordered to get to grips with her own emotional baggage if she hopes to get her job back.
Desperate to prove she’s not the problem, Delilah accepts a challenge from her sister: track down five exes and make amends for ending things with no good reason. But when she runs into Noah - the fiancé she left at the altar - her plans take a complicated turn.
While Delilah seeks redemption, her own therapy sessions begin to unearth hidden secrets and painful truths she’s long avoided. But only when she’s forced to confront the trauma of her past does she begin to understand that love means a whole lot more than just saying sorry.
Tell Me About It is a witty, wise, and heartfelt story of redemption, self-discovery, and the courage it takes to confront the truth about your own heart. 💖💫

a quietly powerful book that gives you so much more than you thought it might going in. you find yourself thinking and feeling through so much more impactful things as you go. its sneaky this book, its goes deeper. and thats no bad thing. and i found myself getting totally sucked into our main character. i wanted to shake her and scoop her up and make it all ok for her too. she was such a real character. someone you felt like you were walking alongside her as she told us her tale, showed us her tale.
Delilah's having a hard time of it. shes not doing well in her job. in fact shes doing the opposite of what she should be. so what can she do when she is forced to stop and take stock. well, she thinks she has the answer to her baggage. she believes it will be fixed, sorted by doing on way. but what she comes across and goes through on this journey might lead her to something with so much more meaning and make her able to do, feel things differently. the people she goes to say sorry to are like little markers in time of the person she was when they were involved.
sorry is about to mean something very different indeed.
when she meets her ex fiance is when things really step up a level. and i was wanting to scream "no why would you agree to this" whilst also totally being there for it when it was played out.
when things are revealed in her own therapy a literally took a gulp and was flawed. and also instantly new so much about Delilah. and thought to myself gosh we really dont know what others are carrying do we.
but all cheer Delilah please because this is a brave woman who grew and found out so much in this book. many many a thing that cannot have been easy at all it takes courage to do that deep work.
the relationships in this book are told with such beauty. i couldn't get enough of how Frances writes and particularly those. Noah ugh, this one had my heart. and i felt so sad that i think Delilah and her past were what stopped these two in the first place. and i was in a angst muddle wanting them to be together but also she is there and meets with his current girlfriend! her and her sister were gems of a relationship to read about. and it made me want to go hug a certain someone in my own life. like one of those really squash you until you tell me you can breathe hugs.
this book was so powerful for me. and i love it for doing that. it hit so many markers i didn't see coming.
its heartfelt. its true to itself and the characters. its powerful but doesn't need to be loud to do so.
this book will stay with me. and in the best of ways. step up Frances you've bought us something amazing here, thank you.
