Will romance be the plot twist?
Emmy has an enemy, and his name is Luke. The good news? She rarely sees him. The bad news? When she does, she (and her pet dragons) are reminded just how handsome he is.
Besides, Emmy is too busy focusing on her dragon-fuelled business to have time for love. But when both she and Luke approach the same local investor for funding, she’s suddenly unable to avoid him. The kookie investor insists they must compete for the cash by working at the local failing baby dragon bookshop to prove their magical business knowledge.
Determined to win the funding, Emmy dives into the task. But making a very flammable bookshop fit for baby dragons is no small feat, and it seems these rivals may need to join forces. Could Luke and Emmy’s fiery animosity spark something more between them?

A new sweet and romantic addition to my favourite series! The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the third novel in this cosy, funny & romantic series, where we return to the world of the Starshine Valley and the group of friends that we meet in the previous novels. However you can start reading from any of the books as the storyline provides a detailed explanation of how the characters are related.
This is a very low spice novel and suitable for YA. A sweet and fun storyline.
honestly this book was so fun and sweet. i love little enemies to lovers moment! this was also my first time reading a book by this author and i loved it!
i ended up really connecting with the characters and the romance and the dragons were such a cute addition 🥹 also luke might just be my new favourite boyfriend out of the romance books haha.
the writing style was also endearing and fun, i found myself completely engrossed into the story. the author done a perfect job of making it atmospheric and engaging! i kept wanting to pick the book up which is indication enough that i really liked it!
the story itself was adorable and i want more books in this series, for sure. i'll be definitely checking more of this author's books because i was quite surprised at how much i loved it! it wasn't my all time favourite book, but i still very much enjoyed it. highly recommend reading this! it also kinda reminded me of the spellshop book by sarah beth durst, so if you like that book, you might love this one!
If you’ve ever tried to run a book club with members who occasionally burst into flames (literally), The Baby Dragon Book Club is your next favorite read. It’s charming, hilarious, and just the right amount of singed around the edges.
The baby dragons are equal parts adorable and disastrous — picture toddlers with wings and opinions about plot twists. The club’s discussions veer wildly between snack time and smoke clouds, but somehow it all comes together in a cozy, fireproof tale about friendship, curiosity, and the power of stories.
Why not five stars? Because one of the dragons drooled on my heart… and now it’s slightly melted. Still, I can’t wait for the sequel — hopefully featuring a fire extinguisher and more snacks.
I’m a member of the baby dragon Club

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Cozy, charming, and full of heart
This book completely stole my heart. Emmeline is grumpy in all the right ways, Luke is the kind of rival you can’t help rooting for, and the dragons? Absolute chaos gremlins. I loved how the story mixed bookshop coziness with gentle magic — it felt like stepping into a world that smells of paper, tea, and a hint of smoke.
A. T. Qureshi’s writing is warm and quietly funny, and even though the plot isn’t high-stakes, the emotional beats hit beautifully. If you love cozy fantasy, slow-burn romance, and found family, this one’s a treat.

I love these books so much!
Theyre so cute and cosy and perfect for this time of year.
Great to read between the the chunkier fantasy I like it read.
Book three is almost here! These are cute romance movies in book form (with adorable baby dragons!) I always call them my sorbet books because they are lovely palate cleansing, low stakes, feel-good stories and sometimes you just need that. As an oldest daughter, I really enjoyed watching Emmy break a bit free from her role as the perfect people pleaser and learn to accept help (and learn that accepting help doesn't make you a burden.) The impression she gives in the first two books is definitely more BAMF and so seeing the deeper side of her was really nice. And the baby dragons are both adorable and exasperating, just as we're used to.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an e-ARC of this book!
This story was honestly so sweet and cozy.
I think because of the level of spice in it, this would be okay for YA audiences. The romance is good, we love an enemies to lovers & with the addition of baby dragons... I'm sorry but cuteness overload with just a hint of chaos.
Really enjoyed it and will absolutely be reading the next one when that becomes available.

The perfect cosy romantasy if you’re looking for a lighthearted and happy read. Two of my favourite things, enemies(ish) to lovers and dragons 🤌🏻
Extra points for the oldest daughter representation.
Thank you NetGalley for the arc because once again I absolutely adoreeeeeeed this book!!! I’ve enjoyed every character I’ve met in this series and every dragon (and other creature) too! I especially love learning little aspects of each characters culture through their foods and drinks! I’m so happy I was approved to read this because I’ve been such a big fan of the series 💖🐉

*I received an ARC via Netgalley*
Much like the previous books, I flew through this. I knew this was going to be a great story given that Emmeline is the FMC. I've been ridiculously excited for her story since The Baby Dragon Café, and I think is may be my favourite of the three books. The light world building makes it easy for readers to fall into this world, and the characters were so fun and entertaining, I couldn't help but be invested in their stories. This slow burn, rivals to lovers, with an eldest daughter FMC, story is the perfect cosy/comfort read. And we can't forget about the dragons. My only complaint is that the main plot point was wrapped up too quickly, but I'm sure readers who are more invested in the romance will not mind this. I can't wait to see more of the other characters from this series, and I will very likely read this again.

This series is just so cosy, and each book is perfect to devour. I feel like I read these books so quickly, but they're just such easy, cosy reads, and I find myself not wanting to put them down.
This one featured a lot more of the baby dragons, which I loved. It was also an enemies to lovers story! Definitely one of my favourite tropes, so I loved that. And it was set mostly in a bookshop! Another reason to love it.
If you want a cosy, charming read (with added baby dragons), I definitely recommend this one. I now have my fingers crossed that the Locked Library do a matching edition of this one 🤞
Okay this might just be my favourite of the three! Emmeline was painfully relatable as the person who does everything for everyone but can't accept any help or admit any weakness herself. And Luke! What a sweetheart.
Once again, it was the setting that really captured my heart. So cosy and wintery and slow and comforting - the perfect atmosphere for a really gentle, feel-good story. And so much delicious sounding food! My mouth was watering every time the characters ate anything. Also I desperately need a baby chimera in a sweater, please and thank you!
Story-wise, this one flowed really well - quick to read and utterly charming. My only real frustration was how the main conflicts in both halves could have been solved if the two characters had just sat down and talked it out. At one point the solution was so obvious I found myself mentally shouting at them!
Still, it was completely adorable and had me smiling from start to finish.
Omg these books - absolutely too cute to handle. In between the adorable baby dragons and the addicting romance element, you’re just filled to the brim with ‘awww’ with a side of melt.
They’re super cosy with a vibe of their own. They have the fantasy element and I love the world it’s set in. Where the coffee is dragon roasted (or chimera roasted depending on your supplier) and dragon riding is an everyday occurrence. Oh and if I could dip a toe into these books and come out with some of the absolutely delicious sounding treats frequently mentioned, I would be a happy soul.
The plot was great - with a rivalry afoot between our two mains - Emmeline of the dragon roasted coffee variety and Luke, who’s chimera roasted coffee business is failing and he needs the investment Emmeline is also going for. They both vie for the top spot and with revenge on their minds, who will come out on top? Oh and throw in that they both could fall for each other adds an extra complication to the rivalry..
Loved getting to know Motu as well, our adorable but highly mischievous dragon baby who adds extra chaos to everything.
I so do love these books :)!

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon and Harper Collins Publishers for the arc of this book. The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the third book in The Baby Dragon Series. If you have read the previous two books in this series you are already familiar with the female main character Emmy the owner of a dragon roasted coffee bean company and the male main character Luke the owner of a chimera roasted coffee bean company. This book can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the previous two book since they are amazing. This book does bring back some of the main characters from the previous two books. This book is a quick cozy read. I highly recommend reading this book. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Firstly, thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.
This series is actually getting better, I admit I wasn't as keen on the first book, but I'm hooked and can't wait for book 4!
This book focuses on Emmy, but we still get to peak into the lives of others we have met in previous books. This book is either in the view of Emmy or her arch-rival Luke. We find out why there is rivalry and how their lives have moved on. It's a lovely book, i struggled to put down. I hope we get to see more of other people in the story and find out more of their lives, we invest so much time reading about them that its good to dip back into their lives.
My first book in this charming cozy romfantasy tale makes me want to read the first two titles in the series, plus everything the author writes. Loved it!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Heartwarming, Whimsical, and the Perfect Ending
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is pure joy from beginning to end. I absolutely loved learning more about these beloved characters and watching their stories unfold in such a beautiful, satisfying way. A. T. Qureshi continues to weave charm, humor, and heart into every page, creating a world that feels like coming home. Seeing the dragons and their friends find their happy endings was everything I hoped for—comforting, magical, and full of love. A perfect conclusion to a delightful series.

Thanks you avonbooksuk and netgalley for the e arc in exchange for an honest review.
This is like being wrapped in a cosy blanket, warm hot chocolate and eating comfort snacks near a warm fire. Great for autumn weather.
Who doesn't love enemies to lovers ( in my opinion, second chance romance) , cute feisty adorable dragons, a book shop and coffee.
Emmy and Luke couldn't be more right for each other but they also have a past. Emmy can't let him into her heart knowing what he did to her little sister. But she can't fight the spark that's ignited. When she learns the truth and his past and his family will the wall come crumbling down. They also fighting for invest in the roasting coffee businesses and want it both. Will they come to an understanding with being in competitions for the book shop project.
It's such a good read with humour, playfulness and knowing you can ask for help even if your a stubborn but kindhearted person. I love both their family and friend and seeing familiar faces from previous books.
Emmeline runs a dragon roasted coffee shop and is hoping that Anh will invest in her shop. Luke runs a chimera roasted coffee shop in the town over. These two have an extensive history that has been brewing for quite a while.
There are plenty of dragons in this book! Motu is a bit on the naughtier side, which makes him entertaining at times. The meaning of his name made me laugh. He reminds me a bit of my cats when they start acting up.
I liked Luke and Emmeline once they finally started to communicate and get along with each other. It was a bit frustrating when they weren't getting along because it could have been solved if they just talked to one another.
They were so clueless when the solution was right there in front of their faces. I think their relationship works well together overall though! I enjoyed that we got to see characters from the previous books. I've always enjoyed Lavinia personally! It's nice to get a glimpse of where they are at in their lives now. Thank you to Netgalley, Avon Books UK, and A.T. Qureshi for an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion.

I was lucky enough to get the arc for book 2 and now book 3, the vibes carry over and gives the same feelings. I love jumping back into the world and meeting all the characters again.

Such a cute, cozy story. The coziest side of the enemies to lovers trope. With friends, romances, humor and a ton of nice things. Not much happening, it's more vibes than action, in a good way
Thank you for the book
This was my most anticipated book of the year and i absolutely loved it, just as much as i did 1st and 2nd book

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book!
I really enjoy this sweet, cozy series! The author’s writing makes me feel like I’m there with the characters. This one is my favorite so far and I hope there will be more books in this series.
A delightful, light-hearted romantasy that blends small-town charm, adorable baby dragons and the “enemies-to-lovers” trope. Emmy’s rivalry with Luke and their forced collaboration to turn a failing dragon-friendly bookshop around makes for fun conflict, and the idea of magic-business meets dragon-pets adds a whimsical twist. The tone is cozy and low-stakes perfect for a relaxing read if you’re in the mood for fluff.
The focus here is on cozy vibes rather than high drama. The world-building and tension stay understated, which makes it a soothing, easy readthough those seeking grand adventure or emotional intensity might crave a bit more depth.
Yet another fantastic lightheaded book in the baby dragon series. Characters we know and love make a reappearance and new ones are brought in. It's a brilliant Romantasy, lighthearted with a hint of sadness at times, the way to be. Aamna Qureshi has outdone herself with this series so far. It's an exciting addition and I can't wait to see what comes next.
This book has :enemies to lovers, old flames, family dynamics, competition.

Cosy fantasy meets bookstore romance.
This is the third book in the series and it really benefits from the world building that happened in the preceding books. I loved the Baby Dragon Café and the Baby Dragon Bookshop builds upon this world and the characters.
Tales and Tails is a bookshop where there are story reading sessions for the baby dragons and the opportunity to just browse and choose your books. There is the typical babysitting of dragons and a heap of love and smushy dating that you’ve come to expect of A T Qureshi. If you enjoyed the other books then this is for you
I think this is my favourite Baby Dragon book!
This is a series that has continued to entertain and to bring a piece of cosy (and slightly spicy) feels to the mix.
Having previous characters - including the baby dragons - feature, really makes the story perfect. Offering that sense of meeting up with old friends.
Baby Dragon Bookshop by A. T. Qureshi is a delightful and heartwarming cozy read that completely captured my imagination. It’s the perfect blend of small-town charm, bookish comfort, and gentle fantasy—an ideal story for anyone who loves escaping into a world filled with warmth, friendship, and a touch of magic.
Qureshi’s writing is whimsical and inviting, drawing you right into a bookshop where dragons and humans coexist in harmony. The characters are wonderfully endearing, and the community feels so alive that you can almost picture yourself wandering its streets or curling up among the shelves.
I especially loved the balance of humor, heart, and magic woven throughout the story. It’s cozy, uplifting, and full of charm from start to finish. I’d love to continue reading more about this enchanting town and the people—and fantasy creatures—that call it home.
Overall: A cozy, magical, and bookish delight that left me smiling long after I finished. Perfect for fans of feel-good reads with heart and imagination.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books UK for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
These books get better and better.
Absolutely love the other books in this series. Was so happy when I got the opportunity to review this book.
Highly recommend!
Loved the storyline and the characters.
Love the dragons .
Thanks Netgalley for letting me read this book for an honest review
The 3rd book in "The Baby Dragon" series did not disappoint! It was just as charming, lighthearted, romantic, and full of baby dragons as the rest of the series.
I love this series because it is so cozy. The romance is so sweet and charming in every book, and I am always rooting for the main love interests to get together. In this 3rd installment, Emmeline and her long time business rival Luke are set in a competition to win a HUGE business investor. As they work to prepare their proposals on who will win the business of the new coffee shop set to open in the local bookstore, they just can't help but start to catch feelings for each other.
Just as enchanting as the last 2 books, this installment includes:
-lots of baby dragons(more than book 2!)
-enemies to lovers romance
-a glimpse of the romantic couples from the previous books
-light spice (think 1.5/5 spicy pepper - there's a 1 page open door scene, everything else is fade to black)
-a charming valley where we get to meet new dragons and even some chimera's
This is the perfect series to pick up as a light, charming, palette cleanser. Each book is so quick to read, and I always have a hard time putting them down! This particular book took approx. 5 hrs/3 days of reading. It's the perfect cozy read for winter as well as it takes place around December. I love how all the characters are so sweet and they really want the best for each other. The friendships are adorable, the relationships between owner and dragon are so cute, and the romance in this was fantastic!
The only thing that I feel could use more work is the writing. It's akin to how a high schooler/fan fic writer would write. A lot of sentences/sentiments are constantly repeated throughout a paragraph or throughout the book, and I'm like "you JUST said the same thing a little while back". While it does make the book easily readable, I think it could use a bit more editing. However I also think the author has improved a bit on this since book 1.
I'm excited to see where this series goes next....from the excerpt at the end of this book, it looks like there might be a spinoff series following Ginny!?!?!?!
Absolutely recommend for the adult audience who is looking for a light, cozy, charming romance! 4/5 stars
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Avon Books UK for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the perfect cosy autumn read and such a beautiful conclusion to the series. I’ve loved every book in the Baby Dragon world, and this one absolutely didn’t disappoint. The writing is warm and comforting, the pacing is spot on, and the baby dragons are as cute and chaotic as ever.
I adored watching Emmy and Luke’s story unfolds. Their banter, the pranks, the slow reveal of their history, and the way their relationship grows was truly perfect. It was very wholesome and minimum spice so I’d say it’s perfect for teens and adults.
The themes of friendship, community, and healing really shine here, and it felt like the ultimate cosy escape. I can’t believe this chapter of the series is over, but what a perfect send-off. Cannot WAIT for the spin off!!!
The Baby Dragon series is my ultimate cosy comfort series which I absolutely adore. I have loved every book in this series so far and feel beyond grateful that I have been able to read the third book early. The fact that this is based around a bookshop is everything and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m so glad Emmy and Luke finally got their time to shine. I loved seeing characters from previous books make an appearance and I just adored the world

This is the 3rd book I have read by A.T Qureshi and i liked it!
I saw the cover for this book and i had to immediately sign up! Although I stand by the saying never judge a book by its cover, this one once again matches perfectly!
This story is a cute and cozy slow burn romance with no spice which honestly was a refreshing change!
I really liked this book and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy slow burn romance with no spice.

I have loved every page of the previous two books and so this one was a no brainer for me instant ARC request and first on my reading list once it was approved. This was extraordinarily good as all of her books are and once again it proves that romance books can be five stars for me just as much as epic fantasy and historical fantasy because honestly it was like she had read my mind and written the perfect book. Let me dive into it.
To begin with Emmeline and Luke have this raw chemistry that is so present in every line and gesture towards each other. It means that even something as simple as handing her a thermos of tea has so much emotional charge and feeling behind it and the whole book was devoured by me in one sitting because I couldn’t go to sleep before I had inhaled every word of this gorgeous gorgeous book.
Their history and rivalry is offset against moments where they genuinely connect and we get this slow growth throughout the book towards each other which is so beautiful to see. Often with enemies to lovers or rivals to lovers which this is, they go from rivals to lovers, its instant and overnight and usually just because they find the other physically attractive. However the way this is crafted makes it a love story that will last not just a lust story that will fizzle out when the pages close like a lot of romance books I read and yes. Just read it. This book is everything that the romance genre should be and it swirls in some gorgeously humerous baby dragon moments too (and also a few references back to the last couples if you’ve read the first two books!)
The character of Emmeline is eldest daughter incarnate, and I love that it isnt hammered home that point but slowly shown and developed through her actions. I may have got a tear in my eye when Luke noticed her efforts and helped her – okay I definitely did – because everything about this book was emotionally perfect and romantic and yet somehow builds upon the world that was established in the first two books. I loved seeing the Chimeras side of the valley and I’ve just got all my fingers and toes crossed that we get another book because this is AMAZING!
Romantic Content: we get some steamy making out and a very slow fade to black/less than a page sex scene with euphemistic language.
Violence Rating: Level 1 – its romance.

I have loved the other books in the baby dragon series and The Baby Dragon Bookshop certainly didn't disappoint. I loved the author's writing and the pacing was just right. It was such a cute and easy read and there was plenty of content to keep me interested and reading until the end. I loved the chemistry between Luke and Emmy and I wanted them to have the happy ending that they deserved. Also the baby dragons sounded so cute. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

I cannot believe this series has already come to an end 😭😭 I feel like I was just reading book 1 a few months ago, and now here we are on the series finale, The Baby Dragon Bookshop. We've had hints of Emmy and Luke in the previous two books before, so I was very excited for their story. And it is so delightfully good. It's filled with the charm and the magic of the previous two books, but the enemies-to-lovers aspect of this one really elevated the book for me. For a large part of the book, Emmy and Luke actually despised each other. They were pranking each other and messing up the other's work. But as the story progresses, with incredibly perfect pacing, you see hints of their past together before it completely unravels.
I loved the banter Emmy and Luke had. It made me giggle so hard at so many points in the book. I also looved how you could tell that they were slowly falling for each other. No spoilers from me, but them getting together was just *chef's kiss*. Their development, as individuals and as two people who slowly rediscover themselves and each other, was incredibly well written.
In writing this trilogy, Aamna Qureshi has created an absolutely stunning world and incredible characters, and The Baby Dragon Bookshop was the perfect way to end it. And I cannot believe we're getting a spin off series!! I'm so unbelieveably excited for that!!!
I really liked this! The whole dynamic between the main characters and the backstories were very good.
There’s lots of humour, that keeps you laughing and turning more and more pages! This is such a feel good story that truly is just something you can sit and read without it being over complicated.
I loved the characters and how they were each well and truly their own people.
I feel that the book flowed very well and didn’t have any points where you were bored! It truly keeps you entertained throughout.
The writing is done in a lovely way, and was a perfect continuation of the series!
Thank you to Avon Books/NetGalley for sending me this eARC copy!

This book in the series focuses on the characters of Emmeline and Luke. I really liked that the story was set during winter this time, it created the perfect atmosphere for the chilly tension between Em and Luke but also such cosy, easy reading vibes.
As a book lover, it was great to have a bookshop setting this time and all the descriptions made you really feel like you were there.
Family and food play a strong part in this book series and it was lovely to learn more about Luke and the reasons why his coffee business is so important to him.
It was nice that characters like Saphira and Lavinia returned as it makes it feel like a little reward for reading the whole series and getting those snippets of how their relationships are progressing.
This was probably my favourite of the three books. I’m not usually a fan of a slow burn but I really liked the characters in this book so it made it all worthwhile. The coffee shop business plan rivalry was a good way to showcase the forced proximity trope as well as an enemies to lovers romance.
I also really appreciated that this book featured more dragon and chimera content as it added that extra fun fantasy element.

The Baby Dragon Bookshop absolutely melted my heart. It’s whimsical, funny, and full of that small-town magic where everyone knows everyone — including the baby dragon who keeps sneaking naps on the romance shelf. The story is sweet without being cheesy, and the found-family vibes are perfection. I finished it smiling and immediately wanted to reread it with a cup of cocoa.

Adorable follow up in the baby dragon series. I was so happy to get to read this one since I absolutely loved the other ones!!
I absolutely love this series, this book was a charming, fun and cozy read. Perfect for those looking to dip their toe into the fantasy world with just a little spice. The writing has good structure with occasional repetition but it doesn’t make you want to stop reading. Although you can read as a standalone I highly recommend reading it in order. Fantastic work once again!
I adore this series as the characters are adorable, quaint and relatable. The small element of fantasy through the use of mythical animals like dragons and chimera add to the freshness of this series. In this book, I loved the bookshop setting and the troupes in it were so on point. Could their issues have been solved by a first half heart to heart? Of course, but who would want that? And life is always more complex when living it. Luke was one of my favourites in this one and jad such green flags all throughout, and Emmy well she is every people pleasers mirror image. I cant wait for more of this beautiful series and a copy of the locked library edition of this book. As a proud member of the baby dragon club, I am so thankful to Avon books, NetGallery and A T Qureshi for this ARC.
This fit in perfect as book 3 of the Baby Dragon series! I was fortunate to read book 2 earlier this year and felt like this one was even better! Just super cozy, fun, palate cleanser little dragon books with adorable storylines! Definitely loving this author and series and the writing style has been great throughout!
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!
I think this series honestly gets better and better. Think spice meets dragon, just perfect. I love the story and characters, the writing style just never disappoints and I found it so cosy, especially for an enemies to lovers trope. Would definitely recommend, and if you've not read them, read the rest of the series too!
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
There is not a book by Aamna that isn’t a 5* from me!
This story was an absolute joy to read and what a perfect ending to the Baby Dragon Cafe world (I am gutted it is over!!)
Luke and Em’s story is adorable, full of emotions and second chances and I truly loved it. I loved the storyline to this with fighting over a chance to have an investment and a coffee shop inside a bookshop (this is perfection!) and the ending was perfect.
I was truly satisfied at this ending and I found so much joy and comfort in not only, but the whole series 💖🫶🏻
This was such a cosy, sweet, delightful read, filled with charm and all the good feels.
I truly loved Emmeline and Luke's love story, the way they slowly found each other, despite their history. Emmeline is extremely relatable to any eldest daughter, the perfectionism and the need to help everyone else at the expense of herself, and the way that it was ingrained so deeply that it took other people to show her what she was doing and enable her to sometimes say no.
I loved the way Luke saw her, and loved her even when she hated him. He saw all her passion and drive and her selflessness and just wanted to be there for her and be along for the ride.
I loved the cheeky baby dragon, Motu, and the gentle blend of fantasy and real life in a book that just felt like a giant warm hug.
Honestly I think this was my favourite book in the series. Such a beautiful, heartwarming and cosy story about second chances, letting go of perfectionism, and letting your guard down all in the name of love.

Im pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this! I was a bit wary that it might be cut and paste of the others but it didn't feel like that at all! I really loved the chemistry between the two main characters and was impressed that it didn't feel formulaic, it delivered everything I wanted from a cosy fantasy, banter, low stakes, cute side characters/animals, an absolutely green flag of a male main character and obviously a bookshop setting makes everything better. I'm sad this is apparently the last book!

Ok I loved this book. First the fact that it took place mostly in a bookshop, yes absolutely. Second how cozy the little town was. I see there are two previous books to this series that I need to read and I will. That being said, I loved the two main characters of this series they were so enjoyable and the heartwarming story of love is felt throughout the storyline as well. The story came together nicely throughout and was such a sweet surprise. I’m ready to read more from this author. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This charming final instalment brings the series to a warm and cosy close, wrapping readers in its delightful blend of magic, romance, and bookshop charm. Set in an irresistibly quaint town, much of the story unfolds within a wonderfully inviting bookshop, creating the perfect backdrop for a gentle, heartwarming read. The narrative touches on relatable themes with sensitivity, all while maintaining the light, comforting tone that has made the series so beloved.
Emmeline and Luke’s slow-burn romance is engaging and full of character, with sharp banter, genuine chemistry, and a thoughtful exploration of their complicated history. Emmeline’s struggles with perfectionism and the pressure to always put others first add welcome depth, while Luke’s steadfast support makes their relationship especially satisfying to follow. Add in a cheeky baby dragon and a soft touch of fantasy, and the result is a sweet, feel-good conclusion that fans of the series are sure to enjoy.
Thank you to Avon Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
This final instalment in the series is an absolute delight. Just like the first two books, it’s wonderfully cozy and wrapped in that signature magical charm that makes this world so special. The bookish setting was so cute and perfectly sets the stage for a heartwarming story that fans of the series will adore.
Luke and Em’s story was so much fun to follow. Their banter is sharp, charming, and full of chemistry. If you like an enemies to lovers trope you’ll love this one.
As a member of the Baby Dragon Club, I was so excited for this one, and it certainly lived up to all of my expectations.
I am so obsessed with all these books.......I need more!
I cannot wait to see what A.T has in store for us.
This a a MUST read-Cute, funny, lovely, and baby dragons. ENOUGH SAID!!!!!!!!!
The Baby Dragon Bookshop by A. T. Qureshi is an utterly charming book filled with warmth, magic and a delightful enemies to lovers spark. Emmy is focused on building her dragon centred business and has no time for distractions, especially not Luke, the infuriating rival she is determined to avoid. Their plans collide when they both seek funding from the same eccentric investor who insists on putting them to the test. The challenge is simple. Work side by side in a struggling baby dragon bookshop and prove they can turn it around.
The set up is playful and the bookshop setting is a joy. The addition of baby dragons gives everything a gentle fantasy glow and brings a lovely sense of whimsy to the story. Emmy and Luke’s chemistry is lively from the outset and the shift from irritation to cooperation feels natural and endearing. The series continues to shine because of its cosy tone, relatable characters and the clever blend of ordinary life with mythical creatures that never feels overdone.
A sweet, funny and heartfelt book that proves even the most fiery rivalry can soften in the right company. A perfect comfort read for anyone who loves small towns, gentle magic and a touch of romance.

I love the Baby Dragon series so I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read an ARC for the newest addition!
Emmy is too focused on her dream of owning a dragon bookshop to focus on love, but when she and her rival Luke approach the same investor for funding, Emmy is determined to win and come out on top. However, a series of setbacks has her looking to team up with Luke before her dreams go up in flames.
Emmy and Luke couldn't be more different but also more right for each other. I love the enemies to lovers who have to work together trope! This is going to be a cute one for Valentine's Day!

I think it's a given that I love this book. I absolutely LOVE this series so much. I love these books, I love this author. I just LOVE IT! I would 100% recommend to anyone. Please PLEASE read these books.
Obviously, as a bookseller, I was very excited for this one of the trilogy... And after struggling a tad with Baby Dragon Bakery, I'm glad I was still afforded a chance to read this one early. Because I loved it! Cozy, sweet, everything good from books one and two carries on into this sweet-as-dragon-pie book! I found the characters multifaceted and interesting, with the drives behind both MC's understandable, relatable, and at times they hurt my heart. I really enjoyed the rivals-to-lovers aspect of these two, the way Qureshi approaches the mixing cultures of Chimera owners and Dragon owners, it was done so well and you could see where prejudices were stemming from and how pride (i swear that wasn't meant to be a bookish pun!) gets in the way of some pretty simple choices. I related a lot to Emmy and found myself hooked from the beginning in the unfurling of the bond between her and Luke. A gorgeous ending to a sweet series. One I enjoy recommending to fans of Laurie Gilmore and Ali Hazelwood. Also, as a white woman, I found the inclusion of Qureshi's cultural anecdotes like traditional Pakistani foods really enjoyable in how she really showcases that you don't need to have experience with everything you come across in a book, it made me hungry and look deeper into how diverse the romance books I have read this year, and the ones following the trends of being published have been versus my believed level of diversity. All that to really say, reading diversely is important, and not hard work ever. I love Qureshi's latest few books and cannot wait to see what comes next!

The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the third and final installment in The Baby Dragon series. I really enjoy reading this series. The stories are cute and there are also adorable baby dragons. What more could a reader want? In this installment, we follow Emmy and Luke's love story. It was an enemies to lovers with a little bit of spice. I really love the banter between the characters, and their antics are a lot of fun to read about. Also, you can read these books as standalones, but I highly recommend starting from the first book to fully appreciate the series. Overall, this series is such a lovely treat and I think you should give it a chance. So, grab yourself a cup of coffee and a snack, and take some time to enjoy this book. Thanks to NetGalley and Avon Books UK | Avon for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have read all of the Baby Dragon series and this one is as delightful as the rest. Come for the dragons, stay for the desi culture and food chat - this relationship has been teased since Book 1 so I'm so happy these two get their HEA

I loved this book. I really enjoyed the other books in the series and was over the moon that my request to read and review this book was accepted. I loved the story and the character's. The two main characters were brilliant and the chemistry between them was fab. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to read the wonderful book
I can't believe how cute this was! It was so enjoyable to read through this cozy fantasy romance. It was full of charm and so, so sweet. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series.
4.25⭐️
I've been looking forward to Emmy & Luke's story ever since meeting them in book 1 and their obvious distaste for each other.
With them both having rival coffee companies (Emmy roasts her beans via dragon & Luke via chimera) they are pitted against each other to gain a big investment to their companies and create a coffee shop inside the local bookshop but they both don't trust each other so they need to work on their ideas at the same time in the same place (the bookshop).
Emmy feels like she needs to always be there for everyone even if it means she is running on empty and Luke has a lot going on he needs to support at home.
We finally find out where their story started and what happened. The chemistry and banter between the 2 was so fun to read.
Thank you One More Chapter & NetGalley for this ARC.
A new addition to the fabulous series!! The third novel in the cosy Baby Dragon Series, returning to the world of Starshine Valley. We reconnect with old friends from this sweet, fun storyline. These are the type of books that serve as fabulous stand alone books, as well as in their series. Low spice, cosy, romantic. Perfect Christmas read.
This was a cosy rival to lover romance, with a business competition, and bringing up old feelings and heartache.
I liked the tension and competitiveness between Luke and Emmeline, and the forced proximity in the book shop as they work together. The series always has a fun atmosphere with the baby dragons causing chaos and interfering, and how the main characters are blind to their true feelings until things click.
This series has been one of my favourite loved every single book so when I got the chance to read this early I jumped at the chance to
A romance with little added fantasy with the dragons, just a perfect mix
I loved Luke and Ems story it’s just perfect, sad the series has come to end as could read more and more of these there just so heartwarming and beautifully written
Another amazing book that I would 100% recommend
Proud to be in the Baby Dragon book club
And will read anything Aamna writes.

The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the third in the series of romances set in Starshine Valley - a land in which people live side by side with dragons, chimeras and other magical creatures. There is no need to have read the first two books, as the story stands we'll on its own, but familiar characters from the previous books are also present.
This book follows the story of Emmeline and Luke, the owners of rival coffee roasting businesses, as they compete to earn an investment to expand and open a coffee shop inside the local bookshop. The pair have a history and do not get along. By being forced to spend time together they get to know each other more and begin to open up to each other. The conflicts in the book are believable and generally don't feel like the typical romance trope of issues which could simply be resolved if the characters talked to each other, which is refreshing. The conflicts also are resolved in ways which make sense.
The interactions between family and friends are very wholesome and great to read. The other characters have their own things going on and don't feel flat compared to the main characters.
Such a cute and fun book to read. Dragons, bookshops, coffee and romance. What's not to like? Oh, and they add chimeras into this one too. Sweet and easy to read.
4 stars - cosy fantasy
When in college Emmy gets revenge on Luke by breaking his heart, as Luke broke her younger sister’s heart. Now nearing 30, they each have a rival coffee business and compete for an investment in a bookstore. Lingering feelings remain for Luke but what about Emmy?
I enjoyed this one slightly more than the previous - rivals to lovers, more chimera content and a bookstore! I really loved the relationship development between Emmy and Luke - they have history and both try to deny still liking one another. As it’s dual PoV we get both characters inner thoughts as they battle their feelings.
The chimeras were a lovely addition to the story and we still had some dragon content with baby dragon Motu who likes to cause havoc where ever he goes. We get some little updates about previous characters- I love seeing them live out their happily ever afters.
Set across the months of December and January there was some snowy scenes, sledding and hot chocolate- it skips over Christmas so a good read for January and February.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of the ebook.
"Will romance be the plot twist?
Emmy has an enemy, and his name is Luke. The good news? She rarely sees him. The bad news? When she does, she (and her pet dragons) are reminded just how handsome he is.
Besides, Emmy is too busy focusing on her dragon-fuelled business to have time for love. But when both she and Luke approach the same local investor for funding, she's suddenly unable to avoid him.
Could Luke and Emmy's fiery animosity spark something more between them?"
But don't dragons love books? They can be hoarded after all...
I haven’t read any of the other Baby Dragon books by A.T. Qureshi but, I do have at least one on my shelf waiting for me and I’ve heard so many good things about this being a series that delivers cosy, closed door romances with the added delight of baby dragons! Of course as soon as someone says dragons I’m there and in my humble opinion, if you can say no to baby dragons you are the equivalent of someone who doesn’t like dogs – definitely not a good thing in my eyes!
Despite jumping in straight into book 3 in the series – The Baby Dragon Bookshop, I had zero problems in picking up the story, even if I may have uncovered spoilers from books 1 and 2 – I’m not terribly upset. I don’t think that it will mar any of my future enjoyment of them! Anyway, I’m still in my need for book hugs and The Baby Dragon Bookshop brings them Dragon and Chimera sized!
This book focuses on the enemies to lovers relationship between Emmeline and Luke, with its foundations in Emmeline’s revenge on Luke for dumping her sister in college…the two are now coffee bean rivals and both are vying for a substantial investment in their coffee bean businesses. Of course this brings to live a competitive edge between the two alongside a forced proximity trope, that didn’t disappoint. This is a totally easy, smooth, fun and enjoyable read that totally hits that warm spot – another read that would definitely make any Grinch’s heart grow 2 sizes!
I really enjoyed the banter, the recognition of like meets like and how both characters are there for their family and friends rather than out for themselves. A fun, cosy romance that leaves you with a smile on your face and a desire to find your own baby dragon – especially if you want to knit said baby dragon a little jumper to wear!

When I saw I cried when I got the email from netgallery about this book it was real, I absolutely love anything to do with dragons especially baby dragons (they remind me of puppies.)
Enemies to lovers was definitely hitting the right spots, this is the 3rd book by the author I have read, and I can’t wait her newest release to come out.
The writing style was easy to read and a lot of fun, I found myself engrossed within the story line and plot of the book. Made perfectly to fit the atmosphere and world within the book, it made me want to pick it up and keep reading.
Firstly, thank you so much for letting me read The Baby Dragon Bookshop.
Ive loved the previous books in thr series, so I knew i would love this one too.
Luke and Emmy are rivals in the coffee industry, but they have to fight for a place in the Local book shop which wants to expans. It's firey, cute. I definitely recommend.
Cozy romantasy with enemies to lovers, a bookshop in a small town, and a baby dragon. I need more of this. It was sweet, it was fun, and I looked forward to picking up the book every chance I could.
A.T. Qureshi has written a fantastic Valentine's gift for romatasy readers.

I like the idea of enemies to lovers but with was more like rivals to lovers and I loved thay even more. I liked this book wayyy more than any other in the series. It's charming, there's tension, laughable moments and overall it's still a cozy good read. Love it!
4.5🌟!
I think I’ve fallen in love with this series🫶!
What a cute, charming and cozy book.
From previous books it’s been clear that Emmeline hated Luke. It was fun to see how much he ruffled her feathers. Because this book is written in Dual POV you can read both their side and man, Does Luke yearns for Emmeline. She complains, quarrels and insults him but he just smiles and gives back lot more. Especially as Luke knows how competitive Emmeline is. It’s clear how much he respects and admires her.
Emmeline was a good heroine. Sharp, smart and fun. She will be the first one to come running when you need her. But I didn’t like some of her actions. Especially what she did with Luke in the past. That crossed a limit. But then Luke became her person and I loved what she did for him in the second half.
Sharptooth, Motu, Butternut, squash and Torch added so much flavour to the story.
I’m excited to see Ginny’s journey next.
If you love cozy romance books with, love, friendship, family, dragons and other magical creatures, low angst but depth, try this series.
-Second chance.
-Rivals.
-Enemies to lovers.
-Cute baby dragons and chimeras.
-Family, friendship and more.

Could Luke and Emmy's fiery animosity spark something more between them?
Emmy is a constant people pleaser, always putting their needs before any of her own. I can see a lot of myself in Emmy’s nature - prioritising everyone else’s happiness, even if it means you’re unhappy. I loved her selfless nature, even if to her detriment many times. She was a ray of sunshine around her brother’s baby dragon and I loved how she interacted with everyone around her. The confidence she possesses is enviable (I’d love to go through life like that) and I really liked seeing the vulnerability that was hidden beneath that bravado as well. A heart of gold can only take so much and watching Emmy learn that and thrive was great.
Luke seems a bit of an asshole in the beginning. He’s cocky and infuriating, but it’s a mask to the hurt and stress he feels underneath. When we got to know him, I’m so thrilled to see he’s a sweetheart. Taking care of his family and doing his very best, you can’t help but root for him and success. The way he looked out for Emmy despite everything was incredibly sweet and I really enjoyed his POV because we got this extra depth to him and his overall actions - especially those involving Emmy!
This series is just so warm, and fuzzy, and feel good for me. I don’t think I could ever turn down an opportunity to read it! Similar to the first two books, this story excels in its chosen environment. You may think that baby dragons inside a bookshop surely can’t work but let me tell you - it certainly does! I could practically feel the warm coziness of the fire and smell that gorgeous book shop air! We had a brilliant pace, keeping me engaged with the story and wondering where we may end up. I really enjoyed seeing more of the world, seeing the chimera and what they’re like as well! The dragons are cute but there are more animals out there! Character wise, I loved getting to see previous leads flourishing in their lives. It’s my favourite part of interconnected series! We also get to broaden the cast as well, meeting plenty of new family members and friends. Which, of course, also opens up the possibilities for future leads too! The romance was delightfully full of angst which is a big love of mine. I wouldn’t necessarily call it enemies to lovers. There was a lot of arguing and frustration but it didn’t fit the tropes vibes for me. But goodness, the way they watched out for each other was so incredibly sweet! Even when fighting, they both seemed to make sure the other was okay! The ending was incredibly sweet - though dare I say a little anticlimactic? I was expecting a big more of a punch at the end there but got more of a light tap! But, I do think what was there, despite also being a bit rushed, was a good ending for this story.
Overall, The Baby Dragon Bookshop is another delightful instalment of this cozy series that I highly recommend!

Thank you again to Avon Books for an advanced copy of this book. Review will be live on my blog on release day and is available now on Goodreads.
We are following Emmeline this time. You know what that means. Yup. Her enemy Luke Hayward is involved, too. 😁
I love the vibe I get from Emmeline. Inferno is doing well, and her roasting dragons just adore her as much as I adore them.

Emmeline is in need of an investor to expand, and
the too handsome Luke is surprisingly approaching the same investor. The horror! She must win!
To make things more challenging, she is currently taking care of her brother's dragon, Motu. Oh, how cute that Motu is.😂

She was so used to doing things herself, but he had noticed and didn't hesitate to help.

This! Right there. *point upwards*
As I continue with the lovely characters, I enjoy the journey Emmeline and that insufferable Luke are on, and we do get both points of view along the way.
Now... How does one make a bookshop baby dragon proofed?

Oh what a book! It has everything, friendships, community, romance and of course dragons!
I loved books one and two in this series, but wow, this one is just even more amazing.
I loved the return of all my favourite characters and really enjoyed getting to know Emmeline and Luke so much better. I was undecided about Luke initially, but he really grows on you throughout the story. His character and loyalty really shows through.
There was plenty of focus on the dragons throughout and aren’t they all such characters! The author is so good at making you feel like you are there, walking amongst the characters, through the town, even flying with the dragons.
She has a wonderful way of bringing everything to life.
I think this book is a real credit to the author. You can feel the love and dedication she has put into it, in the way she develops the characters, the scene and the plot.
I cannot wait to read what comes next from this author.

I enjoyed this cozy book, however I think I am realizing cozy is not my favorite type of read. I can see how cozy book lovers will absolutely love this, I am just not the reader for this series.
Absolutely delightful cosy book. Who wouldn't an enemies to lovers trope cosy romance, with baby dragons, set in a bookshop!! This is my absolute dream of a romance novel!
Baby Dragon Bookshop is A.T Qureshi's third novel in the Baby Dragon series and has wonderful characters who the readers will absolutely be rooting for. This is the first of the series that I have read, but after this cute, lighthearted read, I will definitely be running back to read the first two!!
This was my favourite of the series, I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers, coffee and book themed story.
The tension and rivalry between Emmeline and Luke was why made them the best couple of these books in my opinion. I will always love the baby dragons and now I loved the baby chimeras too!
It was easy to read and flowed nicely with the character development and backstory. I would recommend this book to friends who enjoy lots of tasty treats, coffee, baby dragons and magical cute small town vibes.

A. T. Qureshi returns with another delightfully whimsical installment in the *Baby Dragon* series with *The Baby Dragon Bookshop*, blending cozy fantasy, small-town charm, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance. Perfect for readers who love magical realism, bookshop settings, and lighthearted romance, this third entry continues the series’ unique, fun-filled tone.
Emmy is a determined and practical heroine, running her dragon-fuelled business with dedication and a dash of chaos. Her rivalry with the handsome Luke is fiery and entertaining, especially when they are forced to compete for an investor’s funding by working together at a failing baby dragon-themed bookshop. Qureshi’s premise is imaginative, with playful magical elements that are charming without overshadowing the romance or character development.
The chemistry between Emmy and Luke is slow-burning but satisfying, with witty banter, reluctant cooperation, and underlying tension that makes their eventual connection feel earned. The cozy bookshop and small-town setting provide a warm backdrop, full of charm, quirky side characters, and a sense of community. The dragons add whimsy and a magical twist that sets the story apart from typical romance fare.
While the novel may feel light on tension compared to high-stakes fantasy, it succeeds brilliantly as a cozy, enchanting romance. *The Baby Dragon Bookshop* is a 4-star, feel-good read for fans of magical romances and playful, character-driven stories—charming, magical, and full of heart.
I have been so excited for this one and it did not disappoint!
I've missed the baby draggos!! Motu is so naughty the little fatso haha.
The romance in this was perfection! Luke is such a sweetheart and the chemistry is on fire!!

I adored this book. Not only is the town just so cute and cozy, I loved reading about all the cute baby dragons but this being set in a books shop was actually perfect!
I thought Emmy and Luke were so adorable and I loved their banter and seeing their emotions and feelings grow.
Seeing the characters fr the previous books through was also so fun.
The perfect book to read while curled up with a hot drink, the ultimate cozy romance 💕

Review:
This is book 3 in the series and I think it followed the same type of story as book 1 & 2. It's a lovely cozy romantasy, with baby dragons and this time, it's set in a bookshop! I mean, what reader can resist the lure of a cozy romantasy book with a bookshop? (Not me for sure lol)
We meet our FMC, Emmeline, who is an eldest daughter that takes care of the whole family and never of herself. She owns her own business that sells dragon roasted coffee beans (so cool, can I have some?) and then our MMC is Luke, also the eldest son in a family where he carries a lot of responsibilities. The eldest x eldest rivals to lovers happening in here? I was so in for it! I really enjoyed having both POV and getting to know both the MCs, their families/friends and seeing older characters we met in the past 2 books as well.
I loved how the author takes us on a journey to get to know Emmeline and how we see her develop. This happens throughout the story and for various reasons as it's not sustainable to take care of the world but never of yourself. We learn this with Emmeline and as an elder sibling, I definitely related a lot to this.
I enjoyed exploring the dynamic of family members through both MCs POV as well and this very much reminded me of my own culture and society, of how we receive so much pressure from our own parents/siblings...etc. Sometimes, we know that they love us but their harsh ways hurt us, no matter the intention.
Also, the connection between the two MCs and a book that they both shared and the correlation to the MCs in those book had me swooning ahhh (not sharing to avoid spoilers but I loved the reference to other books in here)
While I'm sad that we have reached the ending of the series, we are going to be following Genevieve's journey in a new series, with book one coming out later this year (Rider of Dragons) and somehow I never made the connection that it's the same Genevieve in this series so I squealed when I read the early scene added in here
I really love these stories and when you add books, chai and enemies to lovers i love them even more!
I cannot believe this series is already over. The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a warm, charming finale that captures everything that made this cozy fantasy romance series so special, while delivering a genuinely satisfying enemies to lovers story. From the moment we return to Starshine Valley, it feels like coming home. The magic is gentle, the stakes are personal, and the baby dragons are as chaotic and adorable as ever.
Emmy and Luke were clearly being set up in the earlier books, and their story did not disappoint. Their rivalry feels earned, rooted in old hurt and misunderstandings rather than simple miscommunication. For a good portion of the book, they truly cannot stand each other, complete with petty pranks, sharp banter, and competing business ambitions. Watching that hostility slowly soften into reluctant cooperation and then genuine care was a highlight. The pacing of their relationship is especially well done, letting their shared history unfold naturally until everything finally clicks into place.
The bookshop setting paired with rival coffee businesses was delightful, and the forced proximity worked perfectly for this kind of romance. Emmy is a classic people pleaser who carries the weight of her family on her shoulders, while Luke is quietly steady and deeply devoted to those he loves. Their individual struggles feel grounded and relatable, and I appreciated how the story explored boundaries, responsibility, and learning when to ask for help. Their romance is tender, playful, and emotionally satisfying, with just enough heat to feel rewarding without losing the cozy tone of the series.
The atmosphere remains one of the strongest elements. This world is filled with found family energy, whimsical creatures like dragons and chimera, and a comforting sense of community. It is the kind of book that feels best read curled up with a blanket and a warm drink. That said, the writing does occasionally lean repetitive, and some scenes could have benefited from tighter editing. The resolution also arrives a bit quickly after a long buildup, which made the ending feel slightly rushed despite being emotionally sweet.
Even with those minor issues, this was a lovely conclusion to the trilogy. It balances romance, fantasy, and heart in a way that feels true to the series from start to finish. As a finale, The Baby Dragon Bookshop delivers charm, growth, and a sense of closure that left me smiling, and very excited for the upcoming spin off.

The Baby Dragon Bookshop continues the whimsical, low-stakes world that A. T. Qureshi introduced in her earlier Baby Dragon novels — a setting where gentle magic, cute dragons, and slow-burn romance are the main attractions. This is a story that leans into cozy vibes, small-town charm, and enemies-to-lovers tension rather than high fantasy thrills.
In this installment, Emmy — proprietor of a dragon-friendly coffee shop — finds herself at odds with Luke, a rival business owner whose chimera-roasted coffee threatens her plans for expansion. When both seek funding from the same eccentric investor, they’re tasked with transforming a failing bookshop into a dragon-safe haven. Forced into close proximity and reluctant teamwork, their fiery animosity begins to thaw into something more tender and surprising.
Qureshi excels at crafting *comfortable escapism*. The narrative is rich in *cozy beats* — from decorating bookshop shelves and brewing enchanted coffee to the playful antics of dragons whose presence adds warmth rather than danger. Reviewers praise the book for its humor, heart, and satisfying character arcs, especially as old grudges soften into genuine affection.
The romance is classic *slow fade to love*, leaning on the well-worn (but beloved) enemies-to-lovers trope. Some readers may find this predictable, but the charm lies in the *how* rather than the *what*: Qureshi’s emphasis on small character moments and community connections makes the journey feel rewarding.
Where the story truly shines is in its *tone* ; warm layers, late-afternoon light, and the scent of roasted coffee mixed with dragon smoke. It’s not complex fantasy world-building, nor is it high drama, but rather a cozy romance with a dash of magic that feels like a hug in book form.
For readers who delight in *gentle fantasies*, *slow-burn enemies-to-lovers relationships*, and settings that feel like a visit with old friends (and adorable dragons), *The Baby Dragon Bookshop* delivers a comforting, playful read. It’s a series that doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is part of its undeniable appeal — especially when you’re in the mood for a light, heart-warming tale with just the right amount of fire.

I love this series - The Baby Dragon Café followed by The Baby Dragon Bakery - and now she's thrown in a bookshop; what could be better?
I'd read quite a few hard-hitting thrillers before this and I was desperate for something fun and light and magical, which is exactly what this is.
What I love about this series, this book included, is how real it all seems. Because she's got such a solid foundation in the setting and the characters, and they feel real, it means the fantasy elements just slot in so well, the magic is grounded in the reality of it all.
You can totally read this as a standalone, but characters and plot points from previous books do crop up and I think you'll get a bit more out of it if you have that background already.
We've met the protagonists before in previous books but this really is their moment. Emmeline and Luke were fabulous individually and together, and I was willing them on from the start. I mean, you do want to bang their heads together; if they'd just sat down and had an honest chat in the first half then everything would have been sorted and they could have lived happily ever after, but I'm aware there's no drama in a story like that.
It is a quintessential enemies-to-lovers story. It's cosy, warming, funny, light-hearted, whimsical - just thoroughly enjoyable.
It's a tough choice but I think this is my favourite of the three. All this time she has spent building this world and building the characters has paid off because they're so strong in this book, so well rounded and developed. She has definitely found her footing with this book.
It is quick and easy to read and just zooms by.
My one tiny little issue - and it's not an issue really, just an observation - is I found the reason behind Emmeline and Luke's frostiness is really trivial, and I wonder if it had enough meat on it to really justify their reactions? Like I say, not an issue to ruin the reading or enjoyment of it, but something I did keep thinking about.
I recently saw this is the final book in the series, and I'm in two minds about this. I mean, I'm not sure how long it could have gone on for because it's a small town with the same characters in all of them, so it might have got a bit tired if it went on too long, but on the other side, I want more!!
Another brilliant installment in a wonderful series!
I loved the enemies to lovers theme. Emmeline and Luke were both brilliant! Stubborn and hardheaded in the best way which led to such wonderful tension and awkwardness.
The continued appearances of characters from the previous books were wonderful. It was great catching up with the gang.
Motu was adorable! His antics had me laughing out loud. I also enjoyed reading a bit more about the chimera. I hope more of the mythical creatures get introduced.
Over all a brilliant fun read with lots of laughs.
This series just gets better. I love the coziness and warm-hearted ness of these books. They are a pure delight to read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review.
I have loved every single book in this series! And I am so thankful for the opportunity to have been able to read this one before the release date. It is an addictive series and I just cannot get enough!
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books UK for providing me with this e-ARC.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the third book in the Baby Dragon series. This story follows Emmy and Luke as they compete against each other to win the funding from the same investor and to have their rival coffee shops join forces with the Tails and Tales bookshop that has been in need of something new as of late. This competition complicates things as Emmy makes it her life’s mission to avoid Luke. But Luke however loves to annoy Emmy as it guarantees a chance to talk to her.
The Characters:
Emmy is too busy for love. She runs her successful dragon roasted coffee business that she started right after college graduation. She really wants to do an expansion so a new investor could open a lot of doors for her. She is the oldest daughter and has to look after father and brothers when her mother is away. She also finds herself babysitting her younger brother's 6 month old dragon while he is finishing up school. It doesn't help that she needs to be around Luke constantly for 6 weeks, especially since she can’t help herself from being attractive to him.
Luke is currently trying to keep his chimera roasted coffee business from drowning. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, all his money is going towards business expenses and he’s breaking even until he’s not. He can’t afford to lose his income as he provides a lot to his family as the oldest son. He really is in need of the investment and his roadblock is the woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about since that night 7 years ago.
Writing, Pacing and Final Thoughts:
I felt that the story was very evenly paced and it was really easy to follow that this story took place over 6 weeks. You really get to see both sides of Emmy and Luke’s lives and how there is so much more than what they’ve allowed the other person to see. Emmy struggles with standing up for herself and greeting boundaries when it comes to her mother. While she loves her mother, her mother is very quick to offer Emmy’s help without consulting her before she does it. I feel like it is a trait that most oldest daughters are used to having to deal with as I have definitely gone through this. You also can see how this has bled into how Emmy deals with things with people in her life and she just takes over which has given her the reputation of always needing to be in control. You also get to see how Luke has orbited his life around his family. He lives with his parents so that his dad, brother and him can take shifts being there for his mom. You learn that his family is his motivation to get his company to be a success so that he can provide for them as his mom has been ill for sometime. Since he has provided for his mom for as long as he could remember, he knew just how to be there for Emmy even if she wouldn't ask for it herself. I thought that was probably that most romantic part of the book was when he ask her to wash her hair. He was explaining how if he asked her if she would like him to, she probably would’ve said no. But since he asked if he could do it, she was able to say yes without feeling bad about asking for something.
This book is definitely my favorite of the 3. I felt like I could relate to both Luke and Emmy when it came to their family dynamics. They both carry so much and were able to unpack themselves to each other in ways that they haven’t been able to do with anyone else. I absolutely loved this story and loved how Luke wouldn’t let Emmy sacrifice her own happiness for him no matter how much he needed it. Sometimes the perfect solutions are the ones that are right in front of you but taking it means letting your guard down.

This was everything I needed it to be! I genuinely think it's my favourite of all the baby dragon books.
I love the characters, the dragons & chimeras. I loved coming back to Starshine Valley and seeing all the new developments. I love seeing old main characters pop up again so I know how happy they still are. I loved watching Emmeline wrestle with her feelings working with Luke. There's were so many swoony moments between them! The ending may have been predictable but who wants a shock ending in a cozy fantasy romance? I thought it was perfect!
Would recommend for any fan of cozy fantasy or romance. As it has such a low spice level, I'd even say its appropriate for YA.
Aamna has done it again!! The Baby Dragon Bookshop is such a warm, comforting read that leans fully into the joy of stories, community and gentle magic. The bookshop setting is a huge part of its charm as it feels like a refuge not just for the characters, but for the reader too. I loved how books are treated as something deeply personal and connective, rather than just background decoration.
The baby dragons add whimsy vibes but what really stood out to me was how thoughtfully the story explores belonging, healing and found family. The magic is soft and understated, allowing space for emotional growth and human connection to take centre stage. It’s paced gently, but never drags and there is a quiet depth beneath the cosiness that makes it more than just a light, fluffy read.
Overall, this is the kind of book you reach for when you want to slow down and sink into a kind, hopeful world. I can't wait to see what Aamna writes next!
Super duper cute and great for fans of cozy fantasy and romance!! The cover is just as cute as the book!
A cosy enemies to lovers with dragons and a bookshop? I am SOLD 🥰
This was such a perfect read for winter, it felt like I was being wrapped up in a blanket while reading a book with some great humorous moments. I actually haven't read the other books yet but really want to and this made me want to read them even more 🥹
The writing I found really easy to follow which I appreciate for a cosy, fantasy style read and oh my gosh do I love a dual POV story.
Emmeline is perfectly grumpy which is great as who doesn't love a grumpy character?!
I also adored the found family side of this book and as one of my favourite tropes, this was the perfect book for me 😍
If you are after a well paced cosy fantasy romance, then this definitely is perfect for you ❤️

Baby Dragon Bookshop by A. T. Qureshi is a charming, cozy fantasy that blends magic, community, and a heartfelt love for books into a delightful reading experience.
The story’s greatest strength lies in its atmosphere — whimsical, comforting, and filled with small magical touches that make the world feel inviting. The baby dragons add an extra layer of charm without overwhelming the narrative, and the bookshop setting will resonate strongly with readers who love stories centered around found family and gentle magic.
Qureshi’s writing is warm and accessible, making this an easy book to sink into. While the plot is relatively low-stakes and unfolds at a leisurely pace, that softness is part of its appeal. Readers looking for high-intensity fantasy may find it quiet, but those seeking a cozy, feel-good read will be thoroughly satisfied.
Overall, this is a lovely, comforting novel that celebrates books, kindness, and connection. A solid four-star read for fans of cozy fantasy and bookish stories.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop by A. T. Qureshi is an absolutely delightful read that blends romance, humor, and just the right amount of magical whimsy. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic is handled perfectly, giving the romance a fun, flirty tension that had me smiling throughout.
The characters are easy to connect with and genuinely charming—Luke, in particular, stands out as a swoon-worthy, endearing love interest who instantly wins your heart. The addition of dragons adds a unique and adorable twist, making the story feel fresh and imaginative without ever feeling over the top.
Qureshi’s writing style is both engaging and atmospheric. The story flows effortlessly, making it impossible not to keep picking up the book, and the lighthearted tone combined with sweet romantic beats makes for a cozy, enjoyable experience. The story is fun, heartwarming, and addictive enough to make you want more from this series.
While it may not be my all-time favorite, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable book that I’d recommend to fans of magical romances, quirky humor, and small, charming fantasy settings—especially if you liked The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst. This one definitely earned a spot on my “want to read more by this author” list!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing the eARC of this book. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
I adore this series so much!! I highly recommend for a really sweet and easy read💖 Emmy & Luke had such a cute rivalry and enemies to lovers vibe!!
the book is set between December & January so having it an an arc was such a privilege🥹 THE TENSION!! I love this series as it had so much tension and romance without being overly spicy so it’s a great alternative❤️
The 50% mark fight did have me wanting to violently shake them both though😤😒
It got back on track after this point though and I lovedddd the build up!! I enjoyed Emmy’s birthday chapter the most it absolutely warmed my heart🥰💕
we also got a sneak peak at Rider of Dragons which I can’t wait for!!!!!!
The Baby Dragon Bookshop by Aamna Qureshi was a charming and cosy read with a lovely concept. The story felt warm and comforting, with an engaging setting and likeable characters that were easy to root for. The gentle fantasy elements added to the magic without feeling overwhelming. While there were a few moments where I wished things were explored a little more, overall it was a delightful and enjoyable book that I’d happily recommend.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
This was my favourite of the the series! I loved the relationship between Emmeline and Luke. I also loved getting to know more about Luke’s family and his reason for wanting his business to be successful.
Although still a little cheesy, this had just the right amount and was exactly what I wanted from a feel good fantasy romance. I also really want a baby dragon!
My heart was definitely swayed by the fact that it was based around a book shop. Although how it’s not destroyed by baby dragons I do not know!
Definitely saved the best till last!

A cosy feel-good second chance romance with a guaranteed Happy Ever After! I couldn't put it down. I think this is my favourite book of the Baby Dragon series.

4.5⭐️This is by far my favourite book in this series so far! Motu is officially my favourite baby dragon! His mix of mischief and adorable manipulation are perfect!
I loved seeing both Emmaline and Luke interacting with their families and then with their families together. It’s a beautiful evolution and makes me fall in love even more with their characters and their love story.
The premise of the romance was something I feel like we don’t see often. A past betrayal that turns lovers into enemies which develops back into lovers. I enjoyed watching the evolution of their relationship as they work to make a coffee shop in a bookstore!
The one thing about the romance that felt cringe to me was the fade to black moments. It felt like the author didn’t want it to be there and was dancing around it which felt weird. If you don’t want to write about intimate moments, don’t do it. I’m not a fan of writers needing to add things because “sex sells.” Alas, that feels more of a society problem and not an issue with the book itself.
Overall this is a cute and cozy little romance with baby dragons to make life a little better!

This book is a hug. A warm, cinnamon-scented, bookshop hug… with baby dragons occasionally setting things on fire.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is perfect cosy fantasy joy. From the moment I picked it up, I knew I was in safe hands — this is the kind of story that’s meant to be savoured with a blanket, a hot drink, and zero stress about what’s going to emotionally destroy you next.
Emmy is such a relatable FMC: capable, driven, a chronic people-pleaser who carries the weight of the world on her shoulders and absolutely refuses to ask for help. Watching her story unfold — especially as she’s forced into close proximity with Luke, her infuriatingly handsome rival — was deeply satisfying. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic is gentle, believable, and full of that soft, slow-burn tension that makes every interaction feel meaningful.
The baby dragon bookshop is cosy, chaotic, and slightly singed around the edges, and the baby dragons are everything you want them to be: adorable, mischievous, and complete menaces. Every scene with them brought a smile to my face.
The romance is low spice and incredibly sweet, focusing more on emotional connection, trust, and mutual support than big dramatic gestures — which fits the cosy tone perfectly. Luke is a genuinely lovely love interest, and I adored seeing Emmy slowly let her guard down and allow someone else into her carefully controlled world.
Overall, The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a feel-good, heart-softening read that left me smiling the entire way through. If you love cosy fantasy, bookshops, gentle romance, and tiny dragons with big personalities, this one is an absolute treat.
A very sweet, cosy and lighthearted novel as the third addition to this series! Loved the enemies to lovers dynamic and also the bit chaotic bookshop running experience with a dragon (save the book from the flames iykyk).
I believe this series has the charm of being able to pick any book of the series and still be invested and connected to the characters. The writing style is really lovely and humorous.
Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
There’s one person who Emmy doesn’t like, and that is Luke. She doesn’t have to see him often, but when they do cross paths, she’s remembers how good he looks.
Emmy is busy with her business and so doesn’t have much of a love life. But, both her and Luke want a local person to invest in their respective businesses. So it means she has to see Luke, especially when the investor wants them both to compete to win her cash for their business, they have to work together at the baby dragon bookshop to show how much they know about their own magical business and how it can help bring more customers to the bookshop. .
Emmy wants the funding so much and so, begins to come up with a proposal. But it’s not easy, especially when there’s baby dragons about. It seems they both may have to join together to get the funding.
So, could the current animosity change into something more between Luke and Emmy?
I highly recommend this book.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read The Baby Dragon Bookshop.
I really enjoyed this. I liked the world building, the characters, the banter and of course, the dragons. This has a cosy feel to it and I enjoyed following the characters through their story.
I had not realised when I initially requested the book that it was part of a series. I now have the other books and am looking forward to having all of them together once this one is released.
If you are needing a cute, cosy fantasy romance with just a little steam, this is it. There are dragons, chimeras, a cute bookshop setting, and plenty of meddling side characters. Both of the main characters have strong devotion to their families, a passion for their businesses, and an udeniable attraction to the other.
Emmeline is an eldest daughter with all the usual trappings: smart, stubborn, perfectionsist, and unacknowledged burnout.
Luke is her perfect foil: smart, stubborn, hiding his own struggling, and absolutely devoted to her, despite them being enemies.
The tropes are classics: rivals, grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers, and second chance, The romance is a relatively slow burn, and closed door.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for facilitating me with a review copy of this book at no cost and with no obligation. I reviewed this book voluntarily, and all opinions are my own.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop by A.T. Qureshi is the final installment in the Baby Dragon Series. It is a comforting read with a lot of heart. We have a small town romance, rivals to lovers with low spice and a sprinkle of light fantasy.
The writing is soft and immersive, making it easy to sink into the world and enjoy the atmosphere. I could literally smell the bookshop through my kindle! We book lovers all know the smell i mean! While I wished a few moments and character arcs were explored in a bit more depth, overall it’s a whimsical, cosy, light hearted and enjoyable read.
If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy read that you will find yourself smiling too then this is the Cosy fantasy for you! The perfect read to curl up with beside the fire with a good cup of tea, blanket (and unfortunately a plush Dragon and not a real baby dragon).
This was another cute and quick read, just like the previous books. Very easy to follow and really enjoying the series.
I eat the books in this series up and in this concluding story - probably my favourite of 3 - A T Qureshi focuses on the enemies to lovers story of Emmeline and Luke.
We learn early on, after meeting both characters in previous books, that Emmeline's hatred for Luke stems from when he dated her sister but broke her heart via text, which Emmeline gladly took her own revenge on him for. Since then, they have been rival owners of two coffee companies and always argue if they happen to cross each others paths. However when the opportunity to pitch for the chance to open a new coffee shop inside the town's bookstore Tales and Tails arises, Emmeline and Luke are forced into spending alot more time together with some very interesting consequences.
I loved Emmeline as a character as I felt I could relate to her and her life experiences in a really powerful way - the similarities are scary. I loved that both her powerful bad ass business woman side as well as her more emotional and vulnerable side (the bathtub scene!) were shown throughout the book and if anything, it made me love her more. Luke is her perfect match - you can see that right from the word go - but the way he doesn't push Emmeline into doing things she doesn't want to and lets her take her time with everything was a joy to watch. (He's also a super old school romantic which earned lots of brownie points from me too)
A special shout-out for all the baby dragons as always - especially the precious yet cheeky Baby Motu.
This series has bought so much joy to my heart and I can't wait to see what A T Qureshi does next - bring on Rider of Dragons!!
This was such a great addition to the series. I loved the rivals to lovers trope, and as always the cosiness of this series was very prominent. A great, cosy read!
A.T. Qureshi’s The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a delightful blend of cozy romance, light fantasy, and small-town charm that’s perfect for readers seeking a feel-good escape with a bit of magic. Set in the whimsical world of Starshine Valley, this third installment in the Baby Dragon series centers on Emmeline — a driven entrepreneur with a dragon-fuelled business — and her long-standing rivalry with Luke, the handsome but aggravating owner of the competing café.
What starts as a competitive clash soon turns into an unexpected partnership when both Emmeline and Luke vie for the same investor’s support. They are tasked with reviving a failing local bookshop that specializes in baby dragons — a premise that infuses the story with chaos, charm, and a steady stream of fire-breathing antics. Forced together, their once-fiery animosity softens into genuine connection, navigating from enemies to something much more tender and heartfelt. If you love cozy mysteries and dragons then this is perfect for you!!
YES finally the Baby Dragon series does rivals-to-lovers and I am HERE FOR IT!
I've been waiting for Emmy and Luke's story and it did not disappoint! It's got the cosy, feel-good vibes that we know and love, with the added spice of rivals-to-lovers tension!
Emmeline and Luke are rival coffee roasters. When the opportunity comes up to bid for the opportunity to open a cafe in a bookshop, they each go for it! Working in close proximity, they both want to win, but they have a romantic history and sparks fly...
I adored the bookshop setting, it's so cosy and sweet. The perfect backdrop to the sizzling tension between Emmy and Luke. I loved how they worked through their differences, their past and some deeper themes. I also loved the glimpses of the couples from past Baby Dragon books!
I don't completely love the writing style, which is a bit simple and does a bit too much 'telling' rather than 'showing' for my preference. But altogether the small town charm, the cosy bookshop and of course the adorable baby dragons makes this a sweet, fun and easy read!
3.5 stars rounded up to 4
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a cosy, feel-good rom-fantasy that wraps you in small-town charm, gentle magic, and dragons you just wish you could actually cuddle.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and A. T. Qureshi for this ARC.
I love this cozy and spicy series so I was so excited to get this ARC.
This book follows Emmeline and Luke who run competing businesses and both ask the same woman for a loan. She asks them both to make a business proposal and they begin spending time together to gather information for their proposals. But they knew each other previously when Luke briefly dated her sister.
I really enjoyed all of the characters in this story. Emmeline was so selfless and would and does do anything for her family. Luke was also very family-oriented.
The one thing keeping this from being a five star was I thought the miscommunciation or lack of communication between the characters went on a little too long for my liking. But otherwise it was such a great read and I can't want for the next one in the series.
If you are looking for a cute and cosy fantasy read, then this is definitely a book for you!
I adored the characters, and of course the baby dragons… the storyline is so wholesome and sweet, I really enjoyed this one!
Absolutely enchanting! The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a cozy gem that combines bookshop charm, adorable baby dragons, and a swoon-worthy enemies-to-lovers romance into one delightful package. Emmy and Luke’s journey from rivalry to affection had me smiling on every page, and the magical world feels warm, whimsical, and irresistible. The characters are lovable, the banter sparkles, and the gentle fantasy elements are the perfect complement to the heartfelt romance. This book is a feel-good treat that’s impossible to put down. Perfect for fans of magical, low-spice romance and small-town vibes. Highly recommended!
A fiery, fun novel
The Baby Dragon Bookshop
Author: A. T. Qureshi
Publisher: (Avon) Harper Collins Publishers Ltd
Release date: 12 February 2026
The perfect read for a Valentine’s release date, The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the third standalone but interlinked book in a cosy fantasy romance series.
In ‘Cafe’, we met Saphira and Aiden, in ‘Bakery’, Theo and Lavinia. And in this one, the setting expands from our small town and introduces Bayview, home of chimera roasting coffee maker, Luke.
Luke and Aiden’s cousin Emmeline are competing for the same funding from an investor. And these two enemies have been tasked with working at the Baby Dragon Bookshop to install a coffee shop.
Emmy owns a dragon roasting coffee business and also has a personal grudge against Luke, though she can’t help remembering the brief night together at Uni.
She’s also struggling to hide her growing attraction to Luke. As for Luke, he’s been crushing on Emmy since she broke his heart all those years ago.
Written by a Pakistani Muslim American who weaves her culture and heritage throughout the series. It makes for a refreshingly diverse cast of characters. Both Luke and Emmy come from South Asian families and have their own stresses and familial responsibilities. Those include pregnant sisters, men in the home who need looking after (according to mum), babysitting baby dragons and the day job. Luke’s main stressor is his mum who suffers from a chronic illness causing fatigue and pain. It was great to see this depicted in a fantasy setting, especially with my own chronic health issues. This felt incredibly accurate.
Motu, the baby dragon, is the star of the book, along with baby chimeras Butternut and Squash. They’re all completely adorable.
However, it’s the romance we’re here for. There’s the enemies to lovers trope, slow burn chemistry and flirting, caring, a bit of sizzle, sweetness and humour. The miscommunication is the main issue at the beginning but it does resolve itself. We also get a peek at the darker side of dragon racing with Flint.
I loved this book and we get the cameos of previous characters which adds to the delight.
I can’t wait to see what Qureshi does next.

This is book 3 in the Baby Dragon series and i loved it! Who doesn't love a dose of baby dragon in their life!
We have seen peeks here and there for Emmy and Luke in previous book so it was so good to finally get to theirs!
Bookshop was filled with banter and fun which really made this book for me! Plus the whole enemies to lovers aspect, big sucker for that trope!
Emmy is smart and fun and i love how she is with Luke. Whereas Luke is is like Cocky and annoying at first but he become a sweetheart i think. You get to know him more and it melts your heart.
Overall this book and this series is the perfect for a cosy read that has low spice and the most adorable baby dragons and chimeras out there.
This is my favourite of the Baby Dragon series by far. Emmaline is such a formidable character, which we have seen in the first two books, and I love that this book didn't change her character one bit.
Here, she rivals with Luke for investment in their coffee roasting businesses, but the more they compete, the closer they get until Emmaline forgets why she hates him in the first place.
She is one of those characters who hates feeling out of control. Who, as the eldest daughter, has a lot of pressure to take care of everyone and everything, including her brother's baby dragon while he studies for his exams. Motu proves to be a challenge and Emmy didn't realise just how thin she was spread until the baby dragon was thrust into her care.
Luke has no clue why Emmaline still hates him so much, because he still has feelings for her. He would happily let her win the competition if it weren't for the bills of his business and his mother's medical care piling up. Even then, all he wants to do is make Emmaline realise that not everything is her responsibility and that it's okay to let someone take care of her from time to time.
As the deadline draws near, they have to make a decision - one that becomes clearer as time goes on.
These two are absolutely perfect for each other and it is clear from the beginning of the book. I absolutely love that we still see the characters from the previous books, and Sparky will always be my favourite baby dragon. It also shows us who the next book will be about and I definitely cannot wait for Rider of Dragons.

Thank you NetGalley and A.T. Qureshi for this copy!
I really enjoyed this book. The relationship and romantic tension between Luke and Emma Emmaline was on point! At times their arguments were a bit repetitive and over the top but it makes sense for the story telling.
If you're looking for something cozy and sweet this is a winner!
The third book in the Baby Dragon series where we follow Emmaline Sterling - a dragon rider and owner of Tempest a coffee company. We have met her a couple of times as she’s Aiden’s cousin and one of Saphira and Lavinia’s best friends.
We met Luke who is a business rival of Emmaline and they have a shared past. He hasn’t forgotten about her and now they are bidding for the same investment to help their businesses.

Honestly this was such well written cosy romance with that little smidgeon of dragons and chimeras. I loved the banter between the two but also the love and kindness from both characters. They were similar in that they would do anything for their family detriment to their own happiness.
Loved that some of the story was based within a bookstore - it’s what every book lovers wants! And the cuteness of the baby dragons and chimeras was everything.
We got to see some characters from previous books. And it just felt like a warm hug reading this. It wasn’t all smooth sailing but we got our happily ever after.
Oh my gosh I am obsessed with this series.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the third and final book in The Baby Dragon series and it was a pure joy to read.
Emmy and Luke were a delight to read.
We were given flashes of Emmy in Luke in the other books and it had intrigued me, I couldn’t wait to get their book and see what was going down between these two.
From the get go it’s clear these two are enemies, there’s a past there and they’ve both been hurt and as the story goes on we get to see what exactly happened and why.
Luke and Emmy’s banter was the best, they had me laughing away to myself, their enemies turned friendship turned relationship was just perfection. It’s been so wonderful seeing their growth throughout this book. This book has been so captivating, I couldn’t t wait to see what was going to happen in the final meeting and what would happen leading up to it.
A.T. Qureshi truly is a brilliant writer. Her characters are fun and easy to love, the writing is beautiful and she gave us such a lovely end to a wonderful series.

A fun enemies to lovers romance, the story of Emmaline and Luke. I loved the setting and the mythical elements.
In The Baby Dragon Bookshop we follow Emmeline and Luke who own rival businesses and are competing to win an investment in their company.
- Enemies to Lovers
- Forced Proximity
- Small Town
I loved getting to know the two of them and how their pasts led them to where they are now, both with the dynamic between them but also their family lives.
Of course the dragons in this series are always a bonus! We have Torch and baby Motu in this book, and also get to meet some chimeras!
If you enjoyed the others in this series, definitely give this one a go! It’s definitely my favourite of the three.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you’re craving a whimsical fantasy with adorable dragons, bookish vibes, and a slow-burn romance that feels like a marshmallow melting in hot cocoa, The Baby Dragon Bookshop delivers a delightful sip of cozy magic. Set in the enchanting Starshine Valley — where dragons and humans simply coexist — the story centers on Emmy, a busy entrepreneur with her own dragon-roasted coffee business and a big heart that doesn’t leave much room for romance (or so she thinks).
Enter Luke, her handsome rival from the neighbouring town, and suddenly the stakes are higher than dragon flame. When both Emmy and Luke pitch for the same investor funding, they’re tasked with reviving a failing baby dragon bookshop — a hilariously combustible challenge, given how much dragons absolutely do not respect paper and wooden shelves. Working side-by-side (and dodging singed corners and feisty dragons), their rivalry begins to melt into mutual respect … and maybe something more.
What I adored most about this book is how it balances its unique premise with grounded, heartfelt moments. Emmy’s growth from “too busy for feelings” to genuinely opening up is charming, Luke’s quiet steadiness is swoon-worthy, and the townsfolk + their magical companions make the world feel alive. The baby dragons? Absolutely scene-stealers. Every tiny hiss and burned bookmark had me grinning.
That said, the pacing occasionally meanders, and the cozy tone leans more “cute and comfy” than high drama — but for readers who want gentle stakes, plenty of heart, and magic that warms rather than terrifies, this hits the sweet spot.
Tropes you can expect:
📚 Enemies to Lovers
📚 Business Rivals
📚 Small Town
📚 Cozy Romantasy
📚 Baby Dragons

If you like stories where sparks literally and figuratively fly, where rivalries turn sweet, and where dragons may set things on fire (but in the cutest way possible), this cozy fantasy is absolutely worth your time!

I only thought I had found my favourite baby dragon book, that is until i read this one of course. Luke might be my favourite of the men in these stories to date and Emmy was such a fun character.... add in books and baby dragons and i was happy out
I adore this series
I absolutely adored The Baby Dragon Bookshop, loved every single second of it. Omg I was lucky enough to receive the ARC through @netgalley and then I somehow got even luckier by winning the physical paperback in a giveaway ( genuinely I couldn’t get more happier ) 🫢
So the story follows Emmeline and Luke, two ambitious business owners competing for the same investment that could help expand and secure their futures. Their rivalry constantly pushes them into each other’s paths, creating the sweetest tension as they try to outmaneuver one another. Watching their professional competition evolve into something softer was honestly such a joy 💖🤭
Their banter was adorable, and I loved their chemistry and character dynamics so much. Every interaction felt lively and natural, making the enemies to lovers progression feel believable and satisfying. 💌☺️
And MOTU, oh my God Motu was ridiculously cute 🥰 🐉 every baby dragons scene made me genuinely happy; those moments added such warmth and charm to the story 🥹
Emmeline's character was incredibly relatable. Even though I’m not the eldest daughter myself, her sense of responsibility, determination, and emotional depth made me feel seen (though my mother and elder sisters wouldn't agree that I'm responsible enough 😭 but I promise I AM) 😁
The Pakistani cultural references were absolutely spectacular; so beautifully woven in that they genuinely made me feel proud especially when Aamna included that line by Bulley Shah

Overall, this is the perfect cozy, romantic, enemies-to-lovers romcom-ish read with the sweetest magical elements. If you’re looking for something comforting, charming, and joy-filled, this book is such a gem 💎💖

Emmy has an enemy, and his name is Luke. The good news? She rarely sees him. The bad news? When she does, she (and her pet dragons) are reminded just how handsome he is.
Really enjoyed this book didn’t want to put it down

This was a great final book in the Baby Dragon series. I loved Emmeline and Luke’s relationship and how they developed from rivals to lovers, and seeing their family dynamics. It was fun seeing small cameos from Saphira and Aidan and Lavinia and Theo, while also mainly focusing on Emmeline and Luke. This is such a heartwarming, lighthearted, cosy read and it’s perfect for switching off and enjoying. If you enjoyed the previous books of the series, this one won’t let you down!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eArc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a perfect rivals to lovers romance in a small town setting! 😍
I loved the dynamic between Emmeline and Luke and the differences on how they see their previous history together and then we get to watch the slow burn as their feelings for each other start to change throughout the book!
As the story goes on, Emmeline slowly starts learning to stop supporting everyone around her and accept help and care from others (okay, mainly Luke 😏) and that just makes it all feel so real as who hasn't, at some point, always put everyone else before themselves?!
Highly recommend reading for a cute, small town, rivals to lovers romance with the most adorable dragon companions 💕

Enemies to rivals to lovers? Emmy and Luke are like chalk and cheese - the rich dragon riding coffee roaster and the working class coffee roaster. They're both looking for investment in their business but only one can win the cash. Will they resort to type and hoodwink each other, or will they actually cooperate?
Emmy is so type A personality. She's also "eldest daughter" to a T! She is so busy making life easy for everyone around her, she takes no time to look after herself. Luke may not be as pernickety as Emmy but he's also a man running on fumes. Looking after his sick mum, reining in his brother and also looking after his business is taking its toll.
I really enjoyed this trip to Starshine Valley. Setting the competition within the bookshop environs sold this story to me, even though we do go around Starshine Valley, most of the best scenes are in the shop. It brings back memories, good and bad, for Emmy and Luke and reminds them of how they first met, how things fell apart and maybe making them at least friends this time around. These two are definitely more like intense rivals but with that very rocky beginning.
Emmy is such a people pleaser and her family do seem to take her for granted but she doesn't help when she's always fixing things before they even know it's broken. Luke's language of love is definitely acts of service and the hair washing scene just had me squeeing and kicking my feet! Emmy had so much love to give, which you can see through her interaction with the baby dragons and also her nephew and nieces and wider family. She is so outwardly strong and competent, but that veneer hides a fragility that she doesn't let anyone see.
Luke comes over as a bit of a player and an a-hole but as the story unfolds you learn he's as much of a d*ck to himself as anyone else! He's complete goo when it comes to Emmy, and his family will happily keep reminding him of that.
Cosy fantasy, low in spice but high in chemistry and intense longing! The pace is pretty brisk and I really enjoyed that subplot about the Din family and the Dragon Racer. Meeting past couples and seeing what they were up to is always fun and Starshine Valley's population is certainly growing!
