Description
This book is part of the Tales of Midwinter Haven series, a collection of standalone cozy fantasies that can be enjoyed in any order.
A chocolate-loving vampire. A meddling fae prince. A baking competition that could spell freedom…
Valentine never expected to become a vampire—let alone the proud owner of a cozy bakery. Now he’s tied to the Earl who turned him, a well-connected benefactor with a firm grip on Valentine’s future.
Midwinter Haven’s prestigious baking competition and its prize might be his golden ticket to freedom—all he has to do is defeat the best bakers in the realm.
No pressure at all.
But his dreams melt faster than chocolate in a double boiler when the arrogant Prince Anders accidentally ruins his signature sweets. Now, with Midwinter fast approaching, Valentine is stuck working with a guilty, meddlesome fae—whether he likes it or not.
Between baking disasters, the pair stumble upon a secret that could shake both their kingdoms. And falling for each other? That was never part of the recipe.
Frosthaven Bakery is a high-stakes cozy fantasy featuring m/m clean romance and plenty of Midwinter sweet treats.

If you're looking for a holiday-themed adventure that is cozy with surprisingly high stakes, but also tender moments and a sweet romance, then this one is for you.
I highly enjoyed Winterfrost Market, so I was excited to dive back into the world of Mindwinter Haven. I enjoyed how we got to see a different side of the characters that we met in Winterforst Market, namely Anders. I love how he still maintained the character he was in the first book, but we get the chance to fall in love with him despite his flaws. The kind-hearted vampire baker Valentine made for a perfect match as we watched two completely different men navigate their own troubles, coming together to support each other and finding everything they were looking for reflected in the other.
This is delightfully cozy, while also packing in a good amount of intrigue and action. Sandiford has become a go-to holiday author for me, and I can't wait to see what she shares with us next.
This was a perfect cosy and magical romance, with a baking competition, a m/m romance, and uncovering a deadly scheme.
I absolutely love the magical atmosphere of Frosthaven, and was glad to see Kit and Elsie back as side characters, as it explores Prince Anders adventure, alongside Vampire baker Valentine.
Their meet-cute was sweet, and their interactions were all charming and tender.
This had a great balance of drama with uncovering secrets, a growing rebellion against the King, vampire bloodlust, a forbidden romance, and a jealous ex.
It was a wholesome read, with lovable characters who learn from their flaws and work together to solve their troubles.
The bakery contest and cooking together was a sweet bonus, and I loved the festive feel!
