This book was so fun! It was nice seeing a sports romance for the younger set! I highly enjoyed it! Lots of fun love triangles, adrenaline packed fun and if you like sports romances that have a bit of heat like IceBreaker than you’ll love this one!

I didn’t know who Cody was going to end up with. I enjoyed that there was multi people that she could have ended up with and how each one had their own story.
I found this book different to any other F1 book that I’ve read. The fact that Cody was employed by an F1 team was such a refreshing take that i haven’t read before.

sometimes i like to dip into Young adult books. they have to be mature yes. but they also are my go to when i need something with a layer of adult of it lol. because they take the need for my emotions to be all over the place and make it a layer lighter. that was this book for me and im so happy about that. that doesn't mean the story didn't hook me or wasn't mature. there just isn't so much intensity that other romance for us oldies can bring. and i definitely needed some happy ending.
i loved how the sport romance was bought into the young adult audience with this one. it was done so well and i could picture the scenes and picture the characters so brightly. they truly came to life.
there was all the push me pull me in this one. did i have someone i was rooting for in the triangle? well of course i did. and i love how just because its young adult it didn't make it immature or not done with feeling that means something.
the blend of friendship and romance was spot on in this one. and was probably the level of racing that someone with no knowledge of it like me could digest, haha. whether this means its correct or not who knows and who cares when you enjoy the story this much.
this was a bright, fun and cute read. it had me feeling younger and feeling smiley reading it. this was just what i needed after the Christmas pressures.

actually my first F1/motorsports romance and while of course it's probably not the most accurate representation of what happens within the sport, it was still incredibly enjoyable and a really fun YA (clean!) romance story. great, interesting characters and at times intense plotline, well paced and just an interesting read all round.

Fast paced and interesting YA read that I flew through. The F1, motor racing setting made the book feel exciting and I loved reading about the behind the scenes of the racing team, with the pressures that they face throughout the book. The motor racing aspect added energy to the story and kept the story progressing.
The main characters were super easy to get invested in, and the mix emotions throughout created plenty of tension. I was genuinely curious to see how everything would play out, which made it hard to put down in parts.
Overall, it's a fun, addictive YA read that combines romance and motorsport, perfect for fans of BookTok romances who want something a little different but just as bingeable.
Thanks to Scholastic UK for providing me with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
I absolutely loved this book,I raced through it (no pun intended) but this felt like the perfect book to read when the season has ended or even started,I loved the behind the scenes of the team and the connection the characters had I loved it
Love in the Fast Lane by Tyra Prince is a high energy motor racing romance packed with rivalry, ambition, and sizzling tension both on and off the track.
Cody has her future meticulously planned. Ace her A levels, head to Cambridge with her long term boyfriend, and land her dream role on a motor racing team. One unexpected phone call on results day blows that plan apart when a top racing team headhunts her and needs her immediately. Arriving in Melbourne single and heartbroken, Cody throws herself into the season ahead.
As an engineer, Cody is a brilliant example of women in STEM, and it was refreshing to see a female lead so firmly rooted in the technical side of the sport. She is introduced to Carl, a nineteen year old nepo baby with a legendary racing father, and Austin, a naturally gifted driver with a very different background. On camera they keep things professional, but behind the scenes their rivalry is intense, and it only escalates when both start developing feelings for Cody. Add in Leo, the formidable lead driver of a rival team, and the stakes rise even higher.
The author’s research really shines. The racing world feels authentic and detailed, adding depth and realism to the story rather than just serving as a backdrop. The rivalries are believable, the pressure of the sport is well conveyed, and the pacing keeps everything moving at speed.
This is pure escapism and a lot of fun. I would have absolutely devoured this as a teenager, and I hope younger Formula One fans pick it up because it is such an enjoyable fantasy of the sport. It is dramatic, entertaining, and unapologetically fun, and sometimes that is exactly what you want.
