It's one of my new favourite romances of all time. Not only was the romance amazing, but the plot was very entertaining. I really enjoyed the suspense and the mystery. I loved watching Declan figure out his issues as well as Charlie overcoming her chronic illness. It was really nice to see the representation of chronic illnesses within a romance book. I am so excited for future works by this author!

I’ve been so excited for Fake Out Make Out and couldn’t believe my luck when I got an early copy! This book feels like it has a little bit of everything good. Spies, sports, chronic illness, romcom, revenge, swoon. Each added layer just makes this book more delicious. And I absolutely loved the chronic illness representation, and knowing that it’s written by someone who experiences that makes it even better because you can trust that they’re handling the nuance of it appropriately. Loved the romance as well; cannot speak more highly about this book! I would love to read more from Kate Williams.

The plot idea is AMAZING, I always love sports romance and workplace romance and this is a brilliant combo. Super intense, and an absolutely wonderful book overall. Can’t wait to get my shelf trophy!

If you're looking for a unique read that combines endurance sports, espionage, and romance, this is the book for you! I appreciated how it stood out from other romance novels and haven't read another one like it this year.
I loved how the forced proximity played out through the novel between Charlie and Declan. Having their desks right next to each other was such a great writing decision.
We got enough of Charlie's backstory and chronic illness, so I never had to guess her motivations, as coping with her condition was tied to many of her decisions and hesitations.
I appreciated the Dual POV element and getting to be inside Declan's head. Especially as he tried to resist Charlie, but kept finding himself pulled in.
I guessed one of the plot twists, but the villain took me by surprise!
Overall, this book is a breath of fresh air and a fun, summer read!
