I had no clue what I was in store for when I signed up for An Oath to Eternity, but boy am I glad I did! It was a wonderful story with great characters, a well-crafted world and beautiful prose.

This story has a grip on my heart. The storytelling and world building were so incredibly immersive. I felt as if I was in the story with the characters. I felt heartbreak as if I knew characters personally and anxious as if I was in the war fighting alongside them,

The plot had me anxious and impatient to find out what would happen next. We start off the story with immediate action and the pacing continues until the end. I found myself unable to put my kindle down because I just had to know what happened next.

And the characters! Strongly fleshed out. They felt like real people! I adore Dri. She has my heart ❤️ a baddass who will do whatever it takes to protect her friends.

I need the next book immediately. (Please I beg you)

I didn’t know what to expect with this book, but I am so glad I read it. The writing is beautiful, the world building is incredible and the characters and magic system are so memorable. As a classical history lover myself I was so drawn to the Roman elements of this book, the references to the gods, the architecture and the society structure was woven into a fantasy setting so beautifully and naturally, even down to the mythical creatures and druids. I loved how Driana, Raylan and Claudia were depicted as still being and acting young, given the responsibilities that were so big and complex and dealing with that while not being written as adults. I truly felt like we watched them grow and learn and change. The plot twists and storylines were so well thought-out, especially regarding Claudia and Satre, and it’s set up perfectly for future novels with the demons and the Onyx Born, I can’t wait to see what happens there! Overall, this was a very very good read and I will be recommending!
