A stunning novel of romance and redemption set in the Spunes, OR world, filled with heartbreak and hope from "master of emotion" (Rachel Lynn Solomon) USA Today bestselling author Tarah DeWitt.
Bea always wanted to be a mom. But she never expected she’d have to lose her best friend to do it. Armed with nothing but her best friend’s eggs and a bucket list to complete, Bea’s world is a sea of changes.
When she needs a place to stay, her longtime friend Silas steps in to help. A firefighter grappling with the aftermath of an accident, Silas has his own challenges to work through that have left him cautious and vulnerable.
At first, they expect nothing. But as these two former sunshines knit together in a love that has been unfulfilled until now, a new beginning comes out of the ashes of the past—one that will lead to a love that can withstand all the slings and arrows, joys and triumphs, that life can throw.

This book completely stole my heart. The emotional depth, character growth, and beautifully written romance made this such an unforgettable and meaningful read. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I think my heart may have exploded (in like the best possible way).
This book is about some seriously heavy topics but manages to also be funny and hopeful and full of SO much joy and love. I cried, I laughed out loud; it's taken me a week to recover. Definitely take note of the trigger warnings at the start, I really appreciated Tarah sharing those so I was prepared for the subject matter - IVF and pregnancy are one of the main plot points - even if I wasn't prepared for that prologue or the pure utter sweetness of Silas Byrd or the YEARNING oh my goddddd.
The love story is just as freaking beautiful as one would expect coming from Tarah but she also explores grief and family love in a way that is thoughtful and nuanced and gives this book so much depth.
It's the perfect goodbye to Spunes - although let's be honest, I already need to re-read all three from the start to experience it all over again.
And the PLAYLIST!! 🔥🔥🔥
Wow. For the first time in my life I am completely speechless when trying to write a review. This book was heartbreakingly beautiful. Tarah did such a beautiful job writing about grief and navigating life after loss. I felt seen and heard honestly. The characters are my favorite. Silas is the KINGGG of yearning. I love him. That epilogue had me ugly crying the entire time and gave me full body chills. I love every single one of Tarah’s books but I will always find myself thinking and coming back to this book.
Lost and Found absolutely broke me.
It’s not just a romance, it’s about grief, healing, and the kind of platonic love that’s just as deep as any romantic one. Bea and Merritt’s friendship felt so real, that “she’s your person” kind of bond, and the loss of it hit hard.
Bea’s journey, especially with IVF, was powerful, and Silas was everything, soft, steady, and so real. Their relationship builds quietly, through small moments and showing up for each other.
And that epilogue? I was sobbing.
Such a tender, beautiful story. Definitely a new favorite.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
5 stars for the book that broke Net Galley!!! The way I RAN to download Lost and Found as soon as it was available to read... Thank you to Tarah DeWitt, Net Galley, and St. Martin's Press for the advanced copy.
Left of Forever was one of my favorite reads of 2025, and is one of my favorite books of all times I love a good second chance, friends to lovers, forced proximity romance, and the Spunes, Oregon series is one of the best to do it.
Bea's journey with grief after the loss of her best friend was heartbreaking. That prologue?? I was SOBBING. I thought that Bea honoring Merritt after death through IVF and pregnancy was beautiful. It was definitely a different trope/concept than what I'm used to reading about, but I thought Tarah DeWitt used it in a way to show just how deep female friendships run, and how the loves of our lives aren't always just romantic, but come in the form of friendship, too.
And then there's Silas. The golden retriever firefighter with a scarred heart - the one who just can't seem to stay away, no matter how hard he tries. I absolutely adored Silas as a character. I love the Byrd clan as is, but there was just something about Silas that captivated me from the start. The slow burn and tension that Tara DeWitt captured between Bea and Silas had me rooting for them until the very end. There is just something about a man who denies himself what he wants most that just gets me every single time.
I thought this was the perfect conclusions to the Spunes, Oregon series. These books and characters have a special place in my heart. I can't wait for August so I can grab a trophy copy for my shelf!

All I have to say is…. TARAH F**KIN DEWITT.
There was no better way to tie up Spunes, OR like Lost and Found. We FINALLY got Silas story and it was more heartbreaking and beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined. There are two different grief journeys in this book, loss of one’s self and loss of one’s person. Silas never feeling enough and his journey of healing from his near death will make your heart hurt. Bea’s journey of losing her best friend and how she processes her grief, is one of the best written perspectives I’ve seen in years. This idea of serving and living on the memory of those passed, was heartfully written.
The yearning, the ‘I’ve never stopped wanting you’, the angst, the spice. 1000/10. The prologue started my tears BUT it was the epilogue that had me put down the book multiple times because I couldn’t see through the tears to keep reading.
If you are looking for YEARS of pining, finding purpose after loss, and a romance that will make you believe in love, pick up Lost and Found. Genuinely one of the best books I’ve read in 2026 and I am so sad to say goodbye to our Spunes family.
Well done Tarah.
I am forever changed. A beautiful book about grief, love, loss and hope.
Tarah has done it again with Lost & Found. Profoundly reflective and moving. Grief so painful it makes your stomach hurt. Yearning so intense it melts off the page.
Silas and Bea finally found their right time and I am so grateful to have read their story. Bea's grief and Silas' trauma heal together and they are truly wonderful people and partners. Soulmates in the truest sense.
I loved seeing Spunes and the entire Byrd crew living to their fullest. It's sad to say goodbye to this series but it has cemented itself in my top romance series forever.
Thank you to St Martin's Press for the ARC..

To be alive when Tarah DeWitt is releasing books like THIS? The epilogue!? It truly changed me.
There are no words the can do DeWitt’s brain justice. I’m just so happy she brought us to Spunes with her for awhile.
I can’t even wrap my head around how incredibly moving and wonderful and beautiful and lovely and exceptionally well-written Lost and Found was.
I hope you add this to your TBR immediately and I hope it gives you as much hope as it did me.

Did I finish this series or did it finish me? What a beautiful tribute to friendship, grief, love and motherhood. I am in awe of Tarah weaving together so much heart into a story about loss. And the epilogue I didn’t see coming. Truly a wonderful way to say goodbye to Spunes.
OK, I'm writing this review through tears because that epilogue? Whew.
I've loved every book in the Spunes series, and let's call this one my favorite. Even with all of the heavy topics (grief, IVF, self-doubt), the story stays light and sweet with a sense of humor throughout. Bea and Silas earn their happily ever after, and it was such a special ride to take with them as a reader.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the chance to read and review this ARC.
This book. This book. This book. I devoured every single word. I've enjoyed all of Tarah DeWitt's Spunes books but this one was on a different level, I loved it. I loved the flashbacks, I loved falling in love with Merritt through Bea's eyes, I loved having the focus be on Silas and seeing him as a person and not just the charming (and annoying in a way only a brother can be!). You will laugh and you will cry during this book, you will smile with happiness and you, if you're like me, will shake your kindle in frustration. It is excellent.
