These characters felt well fleshed out to me with their differing lifestyles and personalities, and their world (set among an iconic New Orleans backdrop) felt very lived in and well suited for a story complete with spirit boards, bright pink (& haunted!) houses, high stakes, and sassy demons who seamlessly steal the spotlight in this dark and yet wonderfully girly horror debut
