Description
This zany and flirty nostalgic 2000’s YA romance steals the spotlight! From USA Today bestselling author Janette Rallison comes Fame, Glory, and Other Things on My To-Do List, a hilarious and wholesome comedy of errors perfect for sweet rom-com fans.
Sixteen-year-old Jessica dreams of Hollywood fame, and when Jordan Hunter—who is not only hot, but also the son of a famous actor—moves to her small town, she dreams of him too. When Jordan admits that he wants to get his divorced parents back together, Jessica convinces him that the way to get his dad to come for a long visit is to be a part of the school play. And if she's "discovered" in the process, all the better.
But things go wrong when she lets Jordan's secret identity slip and the principal tries to change West Side Story into a gang-free, violence-free production. Is it possible that some things are more important than fame and glory?
This wholesome rom-com is perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Jenna Evans Welch.

This was laugh-out-loud funny from the very beginning when Jessica genuinely thinks Jordan is going to murder her (its funny, I promise).
A clean, entertaining story that I think teens will enjoy. Have no doubts about putting this in a middle or high school library.

I also really liked how fun Jessica's mind was. Janette Rallison has a fun writing voice. How Jessica met Jordan is one of my top three favorite ways a heroine has met a guy in a novel. Seriously HILARIOUS.
Great book. I wasn't a huge fan of Jessica's choices, but I liked it enough to read back over some of my favorite parts.

🎭 This was such a fun, lighthearted YA read that completely surprised me. It has humor, heartfelt moments, a little bit of drama, and an adorable romance that made it incredibly easy to fly through.
🌟 Jessica dreams of becoming an actress, and she's determined to make every opportunity count. When Jordan, the son of famous actor Christopher Hunter, arrives in her small town, she convinces him to audition for the school's production. But when the future of the play is suddenly put at risk, Jessica makes a decision that can't be taken back, setting off a chain of events that forces her to face the consequences of her choices.
💛 I really enjoyed Jessica as a main character. She has big dreams and makes mistakes along the way, but that only made her feel more genuine. Watching her learn that success means very little if it comes at the expense of the people around her gave the story a nice emotional core.
❤️ The romance between Jessica and Jordan was sweet and easy to root for. Their growing connection fit naturally into the story without overshadowing Jessica's personal journey, and I enjoyed seeing how they helped each other grow throughout the book.
😂 One of my favorite parts was the school production of West Side Story. Absolute chaos in the best possible way! Every rehearsal and performance seemed to spiral into another disaster, and I couldn't stop laughing. The humor really shines, especially during the final portion of the book, where I found myself smiling almost nonstop.
✨ Even though the story follows a familiar YA romance formula, it still manages to feel charming thanks to its lovable characters, witty moments, and meaningful message about honesty, friendship, and staying true to yourself. It's also a clean, teen-friendly read, making it a great choice for younger readers or anyone looking for a wholesome romantic comedy.
📚 Overall, this was an entertaining, feel-good novel that left me with a smile on my face. If you're in the mood for a cute small-town romance, plenty of laughs, and a cast of endearing characters, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.
