Effortlessly entertaining. I’m always happy to join Maisie on her adventures and to see what sort of trouble her and her dad will get into this time!
This one, like the others in the series, have been fast-paced, action packed and exciting. Perfect to hold wandering attention spans and it certainly keeps you turning the pages. It definitely did me and I read it in near two sittings! Once opened, it’s easy to keep on reading and reading until the chapters dwindle into nothing.
Maisie is a great character and so relatable for many. I look forward to catching up with her again (hopefully with more books to come) to read about where there’ll end up next time! It’s a limitless series for imagination and I’ll be keeping my eye out for the next one!

This was a lot of fun to read. It was my first dip into Maisie's world and so now I'm going to have to go back and read the first two books in this series!
We join Maisie and her dad on an adventure to Egypt where things very quickly start to go wrong! Maisie uses her powers and her wits to (try to!) keep her and her dad safe while being swept up in an archaeological heist!
I really liked Maisie's personality and the writing was engaging and fun. I laughed out loud several times reading this and thought the worldbuilding was really immersive too, without being too descriptive.
Thank you so much to Jack Jackman, NetGalley and Nosy Crow for providing me with an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!
I'd like to thank the publishers - Nosy Crow - and NetGalley for this early read.
Maisie vs the Pyramids is a rip-roaring thrilling adventure. Absolutely love Jack Jackman's authorial style and Maisie is such a strong protagonist that MG readers will find both likeable and relatable. I love the interactions that Maisie has with other characters and I love the positivity between her and dad. In this exciting instalment there is a definite plot twist that kept me guessing. The Maisie vs ... series is hugely entertaining and I think, once shared will encourage even the most reluctant reader to want more. Maisie vs the Pyramids is hugely entertaining and for me a great read.
