I went into this volume completely blind. Not really knowing what to expect and then suddenly I was 200 pages deep, stressed out, suspicious of EVERYONE, and unable to put it down!
32-year-old Yuki is DESPERATE to get married before her dad kicks the bucket, so naturally she trusts a man from a dating app with the vibes of “too good to be true.” Then a hot mysterious guy shows up like “uhhh your fiancé might be involved in murder.”
This was such a page turner. Every time I thought I had a grasp on what was happening, something else would happen that made me spiral all over again. What is Yoji actually up to?! And who the heck is Shun really?? That man shows up acting all mysterious and now I’m side eyeing every single character in this manga.
I’m genuinely scared for the FMC because the vibes are OFF and nobody feels trustworthy. I need volume 2 immediately because I have too many questions and not enough emotional stability for this level of paranoia.

This is messy, but in the best way.
I love a story that reminds me of a classic soap opera - betrayal, secrets, scandal, it’s all here! Yuki Sato feels like she is falling behind at life as all of her friends are boasting of weddings and careers and new babies, she is stuck in a temp job and the looming death of her unwell father has made her desperate to find a man she can marry so her father can fulfill his dream of walking her down the aisle. Then, she thinks she has found the perfect man on a dating app only to discover that he is not what he seems.
These characters are great. Yuki’s feelings of inadequacy as she enters her thirties are so relatable, and I like the fact that we have adult characters in this manga. I also find myself really interested in our alleged villain. I am a sucker for darker romance and with the way this ended, I’m hoping that there might be a bit of that mixed in with all of drama. We can only wait and see!
The art is fantastic and fits the story very well with lots of close up, expressive panels that really show the characters emotions.
I can’t wait to read more! Thanks to Kodansha and Netgalley for the DRC!!

WHAT A READ! I am so hooked and NEED the second part. It had me hooked from page 2. I absolutely loved it. I think it was so captivating and I couldn't stop reading it. It's got mystery, romance, suspense, intrigue, amazing art! I think that this is a book that needs to be read by anyone who enjoys Manga, or even folks who are new to it. I think the dialogue was great. I think there was just so much good with this manga that I am just so deeply invested.
