there is never going to be a time i am able to go to this location. but boy did i get joy of being taken their within this book.i felt warmer, uplifted and like id somehow been soaking up the place myself whilst reading.
i dont know how she does it but Melissa Hill must have books like this one and her other running through her core. because time and time again she captures me and smiles with her writing. even whilst reading i could just feel myself feeling better. thats a special gift. and i loved so much that my love of books and great authors handing them over can do that for me.
St Lucia and im all in. there was so much to this story. it had sprinkles of everything throughout. drama, humans with flaws as well as brilliance, characters you will love or maybe even love to hate more. i really like how Melissa took us to this place and gave us such a breadth of the place and story via having these characters coming from different points of view and life in the hotel.
each character had their own story arc. and i really enjoyed we got to see sides from both staff and people visiting. you got to trust some and then very much not. you got to see sides come out and crack surface.
there is forces at work coming from angles you might not have expected. and their is some really wonderful connections made and described within the pages that you cant help wanting to read more. i very much and very quickly needed to know how al our characters would fair b y the end. and see if my inklings were right, whether the people i enjoyed got their happiness and whether my spidy sense were correct over certain moments and goings on.
what a joyful book in all and every way in which i wished it might be when i saw it was another book from Melissa. loved it and she proved my smile right.

Whisk yourself away for some St Lucia sunshine and the promise of a good story. This story has some drama, some intrigue, and some romance, and characters you will love to hate, and some who may even surprise you. There are a lot of characters to keep on top of with this story, but the author somehow manages to do that and keep you hooked knowing and loving the drama. The depth is well done, so you have underlying stories like the search for a mystery key, that flow along, and others that are more focused like Naomi and Greg, and his workaholic ways, Naomi was someone who really won me over, I wasn’t sure I was going to like her at first, on the surface she appears one way, but then as she unfurls like a flower on holiday the real Naomi comes out and she is a pleasure to read about. There are so many amazing characters in this story, that you cant help falling in love with not only the setting of the Palms, but the people as well.

I have not read any of Melissa's books before so was Intrigued. I liked the sound of the plot centering around a hotel. Different characters really brought this book to life. At every chapter I wanted to read on. You get different peoples perspectives and I really liked that. It was a really great easy read and I look forward to reading more of Melissa's books.
