Description
Can she keep her head in the game, or will she fall for him?
Maya is trying not to spin out. Since she gave up on her childhood dreams of figure skating, she is now the successful PR behind this year’s skating champions and she really needs to dazzle everyone for their performance at the Winter Gala.
The job heats up when Maya finds herself stuck sharing a fancy suite with Gabriel, the way-too-organised and way-too-handsome Sports Commentator she has a huge crush on. But she knows he is looking for love – and Maya only does one-night-stands.
Gabriel is on thin ice. He’s trying to stay in control: of his words when he’s on camera, and his feelings for Maya, the emotionally unavailable woman he's still secretly yearning for. Now he can’t avoid spending time with her in an incredibly romantic Alpine hotel, and he's dangerously close to falling for her.
When Maya finds herself pulled back on to the ice — and closer to Gabriel — will they give in to their desires? Or will their chance at happiness slip out of their reach?
*[Three Chillis!]* It's getting hot in here!
* Forced proximity!
* He falls first and harder!
* Only One Bed!
* Steamy couple’s massage!

“I’ve done nothing but want you since I met you”
Gabriel Hawke the MAN YOU ARE 😮💨 I truly believe nobody YEARNS like Gabe 😏🤭
Firstly, I’d like to say LONG LIVE THE SATSUMA COAT 🧡 (iykyk) 😉
This book was absolutely gorgeous. So adorable, such an easy to read rom com, the characters had such depth, so many challenges to overcome. Sometimes I feel rom coms fall a bit flat for me as there’s not often much in the way of a challenge or problem to overcome but Spiralling really nailed it; the ending was so satisfying after all the character went through! I just flew through it as I simply NEEDED that ending.
The setting was just so cosy and gorgeous. The crisp, snowy Aspen vibes were immaculate. This was a love letter to winter 🥹❄️ It makes me yearn for cosy season even more!
Spiralling was the PERFECT mix of sweet and spicy. I just love Maya and Gabe so much. From the minute I read Melting Point I KNEW I’d love Maya and Gabes book so much.
I feel so honoured and privileged that I got to read this early.
Tropes to expect:
❄️Grumpy x sunshine
❄️PR coordinator x sports commentator
❄️One bed
❄️Forced proximity
❄️He falls first
❄️Sweet and spicy
❄️He is DOWN BAD
Okay this was such a fun time!! I loved Maya and Gabe so much. I was hoping for their book after Melting Point and this truly didn't disappoint! They were a really easy couple to fall in love with, they’re fun and so so hot! My goodness the spice was fantastic!! But there was still a lot of heart and emotions behind it and I rooted for them so hard to find their happy ending! This was a quick and easy read and there wasn’t any lulls in the story which was so nice. I found myself engaged the entire time! I really enjoyed Cici Williams writing and I’ll continue to pick up more books from her in the future!
Really enjoyed this book, the romance was cute!
Love the cover. Ive already added it to my harper collins basket so it can sit on my bookshelf for all to see
Definitely recommend
Thanks Netgalley for letting me read this book for an honest review

I love all the sports romance novels that are around at the moment and Spirling certainly didn't disappoint. From the very first page I was hooked and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. There was a great cast of characters and I loved the author's writing style. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.
I do love a good sports romance and this didn’t disappoint. I loved the forced proximity between Maya and Gabe and seeing them reconnect while dealing with the unexpected changes in their lives. Their chemistry was great, and I especially liked how supportive they were of each other rather than creating unnecessary drama.
It was a little predictable in places, but still a fun and easy read with likeable characters and an engaging writing style!
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. 📚
A fun easy read with plenty of colour around the skating world. Loved the honesty around sporting mental health.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of Spiralling ⛸️💜
First, I wanna start by saying I love this cover. I think it’s beautiful, it’s cute, and it makes Gabe and Maya look so good.
I enjoyed seeing the many challenges they faced and I thought Maya and Gabe’s relationship was sweet and it had good emotional depth but I wished to see a little but more.
Every book I’ve read lately has a MMC who’s a yeaner and this book is no exception. I love Gabe because obviously he yearns for her but he also falls for her first and harder!
Overall this was a 4 star for me ⭐️
I enjoyed Maya and Gabriel’s story, especially their chemistry and the winter setting. The romance was sweet, fun, and had some great steamy moments, but I felt the emotional side could have been developed a little more. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable read, even if it didn’t completely stand out for me.
As someone who loves figure skating and that world I’m always on the lookout for a book that fits that genre. This one was perfect it reminded me a bit of Spinnijg Out from Netflix; a must read for sure
I love when a book involves the ice-skating world since I grew up around skaters and watching and attending those types of events. The book is well-written, and I was captivated by the well-plotted storyline. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
