This book was absolutely gorgeous. So adorable, such an easy to read rom com, the characters had such depth, so many challenges to overcome. Sometimes I feel rom coms fall a bit flat for me as there’s not often much in the way of a challenge or problem to overcome but Spiralling really nailed it; the ending was so satisfying after all the character went through! I just flew through it as I simply NEEDED that ending.

The setting was just so cosy and gorgeous. The crisp, snowy Aspen vibes were immaculate. This was a love letter to winter 🥹❄️ It makes me yearn for cosy season even more!

Spiralling was the PERFECT mix of sweet and spicy. I just love Maya and Gabe so much. From the minute I read Melting Point I KNEW I’d love Maya and Gabes book so much.

I feel so honoured and privileged that I got to read this early.

Okay this was such a fun time!! I loved Maya and Gabe so much. I was hoping for their book after Melting Point and this truly didn't disappoint! They were a really easy couple to fall in love with, they’re fun and so so hot! My goodness the spice was fantastic!! But there was still a lot of heart and emotions behind it and I rooted for them so hard to find their happy ending! This was a quick and easy read and there wasn’t any lulls in the story which was so nice. I found myself engaged the entire time! I really enjoyed Cici Williams writing and I’ll continue to pick up more books from her in the future!

I love all the sports romance novels that are around at the moment and Spirling certainly didn't disappoint. From the very first page I was hooked and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. There was a great cast of characters and I loved the author's writing style. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

I do love a good sports romance and this didn’t disappoint. I loved the forced proximity between Maya and Gabe and seeing them reconnect while dealing with the unexpected changes in their lives. Their chemistry was great, and I especially liked how supportive they were of each other rather than creating unnecessary drama.

It was a little predictable in places, but still a fun and easy read with likeable characters and an engaging writing style!

First, I wanna start by saying I love this cover. I think it’s beautiful, it’s cute, and it makes Gabe and Maya look so good.

I enjoyed seeing the many challenges they faced and I thought Maya and Gabe’s relationship was sweet and it had good emotional depth but I wished to see a little but more.

Every book I’ve read lately has a MMC who’s a yeaner and this book is no exception. I love Gabe because obviously he yearns for her but he also falls for her first and harder!

Overall this was a 4 star for me ⭐️

I enjoyed Maya and Gabriel’s story, especially their chemistry and the winter setting. The romance was sweet, fun, and had some great steamy moments, but I felt the emotional side could have been developed a little more. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable read, even if it didn’t completely stand out for me.

As someone who loves figure skating and that world I’m always on the lookout for a book that fits that genre. This one was perfect it reminded me a bit of Spinnijg Out from Netflix; a must read for sure

I really enjoy sports romances and this one gave me everything I'd hoped for. Although it was a little predictable in places, I actually found comfort in the predictability. And this gave me yearning in spades which I also loved!

Their chemistry was good, overall this was a really fun read.

Maya and Gabe's journey was so fun and heartwarming to witness throughout this novel. There is no big moment, but gentle appreciation, support, and love declared in every day moments throughout.

Maya left her heart on the ice after an accident and partner left her reeling years ago. Gabe wants forever with his clearly outlined plans, but can't forget his time with Maya a year ago when she very specifically said she only does one night. Thrown together at a charity gala for a cause close to their hearts, Maya and Gabe are thrilled to see each other again and the connection is still undeniable and electric. Maya and Gabe help each other find themselves both professionally and personally. I loved the charity cause and how open they both are to new possibilities and how to enhance themselves and help and support each other succeed.

There is a lot of moving parts to the plot and it was great to see everyone getting the win who deserves it. A 4.25 star read for me.

Two people who are so different and yet share a passion - Gabe and Maya are flung together, both a bit uncertain but putting on the bravest face of confidence and knowing what they want. Foxed proximity push them together but the animosity is there and they are both pulling hard in different directions. The book allows chinks of real person to come out, as Maya learns that she doesn’t need to be perfect to be loved, or have it all together to have a successful career, the journey is long though and full of terrible music as well as snow and ice!

This was really cute. It was both slow and fast paced at the same time and I enjoyed that. They just made sense together.

She's not interested in commitment and he is. They had a, ahem, past, but now the gala is coming up. there's only one room at the inn, and they find themselves looking at each other differently. And when the snow is falling and feelings are catching, is there any better place to be?

Gabriel and Maya shared a brief history when they met at the winter Olympics just a few short months ago. Their shared attraction was instant, but when he was ready to settle down, she feared losing her independence. Maya takes care of herself, girlbossing, while life seems to take advantage of her hunger for success. That, combined with her fear of lost independence, drives her to keep worthy people at arm's length. Meanwhile, Gabe is barely hanging on - pressure from his job and the media to be a dynamic personality while his heart longs for a deeper, committed connection. The tone of the book is flirty and fun – seriously, who would handle a hotel reservation snafu as calmly as they did? The premise of Spiralling immediately caught my attention. With a figure-skating backdrop, forced proximity and an only-one-bed situation, this sounds like the perfect combination of winter romance, tension and steam.

Maya is a successful PR professional who has given up on her childhood dreams of figure skating and prefers to keep relationships casual. Gabriel, a handsome and organised sports commentator, is looking for something more meaningful and has secretly been yearning for Maya. When work brings them together in a romantic Alpine hotel, keeping their feelings under control becomes increasingly difficult.

I love the contrast between Maya’s emotional guardedness and Gabriel’s desire for a deeper connection. The he falls first and harder trope is always appealing, especially when combined with forced proximity and undeniable attraction.

The skating setting also offers something a little different from the usual contemporary romance, while the promise of banter, yearning and steamy moments makes this an intriguing read for fans of sports romance.

Spiralling is a fun, emotional romance with exactly the kind of forced proximity and undeniable chemistry that makes it difficult to put down. I loved Maya and Gabriel’s dynamic, especially because Maya is determined to keep things casual while Gabriel has clearly fallen much harder than he planned. Being stuck together in a romantic Alpine setting only makes their situation more complicated, and I enjoyed every bit of that tension.

What stood out most was Maya’s journey back toward something she once loved after giving up on figure skating. The skating world gave the romance a unique backdrop, while Maya and Gabriel’s different approaches to relationships created plenty of emotional conflict. Their chemistry was definitely a highlight, but I also appreciated the vulnerability underneath it. I would highly recommend this to readers who love workplace romance, forced proximity, only one bed, he falls first, sports romance, and characters who have to decide whether they are brave enough to risk real love.

Maya had to give up her dream of becoming a renowned figure skater when she was young and an injury and diagnosis prevented her of staying in the sport. She found a way to be in close proximity to figure skating by working in PR and being assigned to help run the Winter Gala.

Gabriel is a former olympic skier trying to find his footing after retiring from the sport. He ended up in sports broadcasting and is sent to cover the Winter Gala.

They both arrive in Aspen to learn they are both staying in the same suite that got double booked, a honeymoon suite at a romantic chalet. With no where else to stay and a familiarity between them they take it and decide to make the best of it. Gabriel is ready to settle down with the one. Maya can’t bring herself to let anyone in and trust in someone since his skating partner left her when she was at her lowest. They both have this natural chemistry and the forced proximity brings out feelings between them.

Another wonderful book from the author. I loved how the characters brought out the best in the other. They were kind and patient and had a beautiful chemistry. The focus of mental health and healing was done very well. This one was a hit for me

Spiralling was a sweet, fun and heartwarming story, I loved both Maya and Gabe and I enjoyed seeing how different they were but still how they learned to work together and eventually appreciated each other and supported each other. The connection and chemistry was great and I love how they helped each other, support in a relationship is #1! They each had their challenges but they had so much growth as individuals and as a team.

The pacing was a little off at times but I really enjoyed the story and want to read more from Cici Williams!
