I really enjoyed reading this sampler. Never having read any of the Pocket Potters before, I didn’t realise just how stunning they were. The illustrations are beautiful and they bring a new edge to the HP world and its characters.
I love that each character gets its own space to shine in these books and in such a gorgeously crafted way. They’re presented with such detail and even though the sampler was only about 4 pages, it was a feast for the eyes and a perfect book for any Harry Potter fan.
This is a super fun intro/ refresher of Hagrid. The pictures are clear and fun to look at. I like how crowded the pages are with some fun and interesting facts about each character. I like that no storylines are given away, so no spoilers of the books if you haven’t read them yet. I like that the drawings are based on book descriptions rather than the movie actor characters. This is a really fun and easy way to introduce younger children to the Harry Potter series! This a must for super fans and newbies alike!

Hagrid! The best character in the whole series! From the sampler, my favourite spread is his coat and what's in all his pockets. I can't wait to read the whole book and see what other surprises are in store for us. Brilliant!
With thanks to the authors, publishers Bloomsbury Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me with a DRC sampler of this book in exchange for my honest review.
NOTE: This review is for a sampler, and not for the complete book.
These Pocket Potters are a wonderful introduction to those readers not already familiar with the world of Harry Potter. Particularly for younger readers, these little guides will serve to make the original novels (which are quite lengthy, with a complex array of characters) that bit more accessible.
The illustrations are beautiful, vibrant, and fun, and contain a lot of information without being overwhelming. For those that have read the novels, the quotes as well as the many references to the contents of Hagrid’s hut and the many pockets in his great moleskin overcoat that are contained in the illustrations will be fun reminders of the original books.
Love this. My children have Harry and Hermoine. So full of facts and drawings. Looking forward to more of these stories
My daughter already has a couple of these books and loves them. There is so many things to love about these books and as a parent I think they are a great quick and easy introduction to the Harry Potter series and appealing to kids. There are quick facts, great illustrations and focuses on a certain character. My daughter has found a love for Harry Potter through these books, without the heaviness or daunting aspect of reading a whole book, it’s great to read together and discuss each character, they are fun and engaging and although aimed at children I think they are a great addition for all potter fans. I highly recommend and will recommend going forward.

Pocket Potters: Little guides to the Harry Potter stories by J. K. Rowling: Hagrid is a perfect little introduction to Rowling’s complex characters aimed at those new to the wizarding world. With stunning illustrations by Olia Muza, this book is the perfect guide to Hagrid for children, and would also make the perfect little gift for Harry Potter fans.

Ah, adorable.
An introduction to our dear giant-hearted Hagrid for younger ones in particular, and any Harry Potter, and Hagrid fans.
It was lovely to revisit his world, his cozy place, and quirks.
The art is fantastic with so many cute details such as the books and the cobwebs.
This was a sampler, and I cannot wait to read the whole book.
It captures the essence of Hagrid's character and Hogwarts so well.
