Description
SHE’S RUNNING OUT OF TIME. LITERALLY.
When her beloved Grammy is hospitalized with Alzheimer's, a despairing Chuck is left to pack up the crumbling family home alone. That is, until she stumbles through Grammy’s old grandfather clock and discovers a version of the house outside of time.
There she meets Jean-Luc Guillaume, an enigmatic clockmaker and alchemist, who offers to teach her alchemy. Desperate to save Grammy’s fading mind, Chuck throws herself into the craft. However, time is a slippery thing, and memory even more so, and as she unravels the mysteries of both, Chuck begins to question what can truly be held tight, and what must be let go.
In The End as It Begins, Chuck is running out of time in more ways than one.

A mind-twisting and utterly fascinating time travel adventure! Highly recommended! Thank you to NetGalley and to Wally Inc. for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the story. It follows Chuck as she navigates grief and acceptance in relation to her Grammy who suffers from Alzheimers and how it impacts their relationship. The story also deals with alchemy via Jean Luc. I had a feeling if the big twist at the end but this was still a great read.
