Local couple makes plans, and God laughs.
Madeline and Hugo are getting married in about two weeks. They're about to get a crash course in rolling with the punches. Suddenly, they have to start changing plans regarding the dress, the church, the food and even guests. It's a time when normally they'd be stressed out even if everything was going right. They tackle issues as they come and end up still having a beautiful day.

This is the first book in a new series called "The Lyons Brides." To have the best understanding of the characters you may want to read the connected series called "The Lyons Pride." This book is stand alone. I went into it not having read any previous books, and I probably would have gotten a better grasp on the bigger picture if I had. It's a very sweet story with good people wanting to do good. It has very gentle writing which reminds me of books by Andie James and Bliss Bennet.

A well written novella that follows The Advent of Lady Madeline. I enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend.

At twenty-three, Lady Madeline Lyons is considered almost “on the shelf,” so her family is delighted when she falls in love with Hugo Lowell, Viscount Saxby. Then only days left before their wedding, a series of mishaps threaten to derail the carefully planned event.
I loved both Hugo & Madeline who were certainly tested before their wedding & apart from one private meltdown by Madeline they took it all the their stride. I loved how their families rallied round to make their day special. It also makes you want to read their siblings’ stories. A delightful novella which I read in a sitting
