This was a strong start to the You Only Kiss Twice series, it had that thriller element that I was looking for and was engaged with what was happening. D. Johnson wrote this well and was engaged from the first page. It worked was a thriller with great use of the suspenseful atmosphere. I enjoyed this as a opening chapter and am excited to read more in this universe. The characters had that overall feel that I was wanting and enjoyed the concept.

You Only Kiss Twice Part 1
By D. Johnson
Having never read an LITRPG good before I kinda knew what I was getting into since I know that RPG stands for Role Playing Game, I just didn’t know how it was going to play out as a book.
John Nero is the son of a Mafia Boss. He left the family at age 16 because he didn’t want to live that life anymore. In order to distance himself from the family he joined the CIA and worked for them for the next 6 years.
When his father dies and the will is read John and his siblings are surprised by what is in the will.
John’s brother, Peter, decides to take over the family business and find the codes he needs to activate a satellite his father launch with lasers in it that can destroy whatever he points it at.
In an effort to stop Peter, the CIA makes John a field agent and sends him out to stop his brother by any means necessary.
There is a major cliff hanger at the end of the book. You have to read Part 2 in order to find out if Mango will eventually kill John or if her love for him will stop her.
