Description

Three years after her twin sister vanished, Lana Kevellian has stopped expecting answers. Then her plane fails over the English countryside, a stranger's call talks her down — and suddenly the answers won't stop coming.

The trail leads to a secretive compound on a Greek island. To people who speak about Rebecca in the present tense. And to a truth so disturbing it doesn't just rewrite what happened to her sister — it rewrites everything Lana thought she knew about herself, and the world she was born into.

Now she carries that truth alone. Bury it and protect the people she loves — or reveal it, and plunge the world into chaos.

For fans of Blake Crouch's Dark Matter and Hervé Le Tellier's The Anomaly, Model 36 is a philosophical sci-fi thriller about grief, reality, and the price of knowing.

This was an incredibly imaginative science fiction novel that immediately captured my attention. I loved how the author explored futuristic concepts while never losing sight of the human element at the center of the story.

The world-building was detailed without becoming overwhelming, and each new revelation made me even more curious about where the story was headed. The ethical questions woven throughout the narrative added another layer of depth that made the book feel more than just an entertaining adventure.

A thought-provoking and immersive sci-fi read that stayed with me long after I finished.

This debut Science Fiction novel promises to begin, at least I hope so, a whole range of similarly interesting books by this author. I liked the writing style a lot and I was pleasantly surprised by the story and the characters.
Lana and Rebecca, twin sisters who do absolutely everything together, until the day Rebecca vanished, never to be seen or heard from again. Ten years later however, Lana, in a most peculiar way, get the message that Rebecca is still alive. What follows is an intricate story which will ask from the reader to not always trust what you’re reading. Cryptic? Yes. Worthwhile the read? Absolutely! I’ve been reading SF since I was twelve years old and very happy that I still can be in for a surprise.
For those who usually don’t read Science Fiction: please give this a go. You’ll not be disappointed.
