'If there is enough money involved, truth becomes a tradeable commodity.
Like gold, it is malleable; it can be melted down and recast without losing its value.'
Travis Somerland is man accustomed to danger - but nothing can prepare him the for the peril, the intrigue or the ruthlessness that confronts him at Montechino. Or the murders.
Montechino: part palace and part fortress, the secluded estate of the uber-wealthy Felix Clapton, a modern-day robber baron who thinks business is arithmetic, not morality.
When the Claptons ignite a generations-old feud with one of the nation's most powerful dynasties, Travis is thrust into a deadly struggle where murder is merely another bargaining chip.
Now, if he wants to bring justice to an unjust world, he'll first have to stay alive.

Chris Hammer’s latest is a standalone thriller, and whilst I’ve enjoyed his police series this is an absolute winner - the freedom to do something a bit different has really unlocked a new freedom in his writing. Combining undercover cops, former undercover cops, corporate skullduggery and financial intrigue, family drama with a succession vibe, and a range of perspectives over multiple timelines this feels epic -it never really lets up and I was completely drawn in by the characters, with a few enjoyable shocks.
Superb
Chris Hammer’s Full Circle is an epic, multi-layered crime thriller that showcases everything readers have come to expect from him: moral complexity, high-stakes intrigue, and a richly textured world where power, money, and danger collide. The novel is substantial and you feel that breadth. Hammer builds a dense web of dynastic rivalries, corporate corruption, and personal peril, all centred on Travis Somerland’s descent into the ruthless world of Montechino, a fortress-like estate ruled by the ultra-wealthy Clapton family.
Despite its length, Full Circle remains highly enjoyable. Hammer’s pacing is deliberate but never sluggish; each chapter adds another layer of intrigue or character depth.
What makes the long form work is Hammer’s control. He blends Succession‑style power struggles and Shakespearean-scale family drama into a narrative that feels both expansive and tightly engineered. The result is a thriller that doesn’t just entertain—it envelops.
If you enjoy crime fiction that takes its time, builds its world brick by brick, and delivers a payoff worthy of the journey, Full Circle is a standout.
