Description

Her father’s constant mantra was: ‘The further away from family, the better.’ As a result, Annette and her family followed him around the UK, then to Ethiopia, returning home to two English towns, before emigrating to the horrors of apartheid-era South Africa, which proved to be the family’s nemesis.

Annette found that life had become meaningless. Her brother, Eric, found solace in drugs – at 11.

A Note From the Publisher

Annette Allen has always been a prophetic dreamer but was lucky enough to find 90% of her dreams later come true. She wrote “An Ethiopian Odyssey” in 2006 about her quest to rediscover long lost classmates. “We are Enigmas” is about growing up as a Third Culture Kid, always moving due to her father’s job and the spiritual ‘nudges’ which began to heal her.
