Description

A luminous modern parable for the holiday season, reimagining the journey of the Three Wise Men as three women’s quests for faith, hope, and love—revealing the hidden guidance, synchronicities, and miracles that shape every soul’s path.

Cross the desert, follow the star, mend the circle . . .

At Christmastime, three women from very different walks of life find themselves called to a desert beyond time and space. Imani, a powerful attorney; Jessie, a devoted physician; and Hiroshi, an acclaimed designer, each carry private burdens that leave them feeling disconnected from their true selves. When mysterious sparrows appear with a message—cross the desert, follow the star, mend the circle—they are drawn together on an extraordinary odyssey.

Guided by sacred messengers and challenged by visions, each woman must confront her deepest fears and shadows. Along the way they encounter the dying Sacred Mother, a divine feminine presence who embodies unconditional love. To heal her—and the world—they must first accept themselves, and one another, with honesty and compassion.

We Three Queens blends magical realism, New Age spiritual wisdom, and timeless holiday symbolism into an intimate story of personal transformation and a sweeping vision of humanity’s potential for unity. Profoundly hopeful, this novel offers more than a Christmas story—it is an invitation to remember our shared humanity and the love that lives within us all.

This was so enjoyable. It had a well balance of emotional depth and the characters really felt genuine. The journey was so fun to read. Felt myself wanting more.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and Netgalley for the arc.

This was such a beautifully unexpected read. I went into We Three Queens expecting a Christmas story, but it turned out to be so much more—a dreamy, spiritual journey about faith, hope, love, self-discovery, and the connections that bring us back to ourselves.

I really loved the magical realism woven throughout the story. The three women are all carrying their own struggles, and watching their journeys intersect felt almost like watching three completely different paths slowly become one. There’s something very comforting about the idea that the people and experiences we encounter aren’t always coincidences.

This is definitely a book you have to be in the right mood for. It’s introspective, mystical, and at times a little abstract, but I appreciated that it made me slow down and actually think about some of the bigger themes around love, forgiveness, connection, and finding your way back to yourself.

It’s not your typical holiday read, and that’s exactly what made it memorable for me.

I had expected a religious type Christmas story. This was a Christmas story, but for me, more reminiscent of a Native American telling. Like most books centered around Christmas, it is one of human understanding, grace, forgiveness and love. Beautifully written, the words imprinted beautiful pictures into my brain. I was lucky enough to read the book and listen to the audio. The narration was well done and easy to understand. Thank you to NetGalley and Hays House for the complementary early audio and ebook. This review is my own opinion and not coerced in any way.

Some stories are beautifully written. Others reach into your soul and leave something behind. We Three Queens did both.

A beautifully imagined retelling of the Three Wise Men from a female perspective, We Three Queens follows Jessie, Imani and Hiroshi, three women from very different walks of life who are drawn together on an extraordinary spiritual journey.

Each woman carries her own grief, fears and emotional burdens. As their paths intertwine, they must confront their pasts, face their deepest fears and discover the power of faith, compassion, self-acceptance and love.

I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Sonia Palleck’s writing is absolutely exquisite. The prose is poetic, deeply moving and filled with so much emotion that I found myself wanting to pause and absorb the beauty of her words.

What made this story particularly special was the depth of its three female characters. Each woman has her own struggles, her own grief and her own journey of healing, yet their stories are so beautifully interconnected.

I connected with all three women in different ways, but Hiroshi’s story particularly resonated with me. Her experience of maternal loss, the absence of a mother’s love and the emotional weight she carried touched something deep within me. One particular passage about her mother absolutely broke my heart.

I was also deeply moved by the exploration of grief and the ways we try to heal ourselves through helping others. The idea that you can give so much of yourself, make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, and still carry an emptiness that no amount of giving can fill was incredibly powerful.

There was something so beautifully human about that. The realisation that helping others can bring purpose and meaning to our lives, but it doesn’t necessarily heal the parts of ourselves that are still hurting.

I connected with this on a deeply personal level, and it made an already beautiful story even more meaningful to me.

Shiromi Arserio’s narration brought another layer of beauty to an already moving story. I loved experiencing this book through audio, allowing myself to become completely immersed in the words and emotions of these three women.

Beautifully written, thought-provoking and profoundly moving, We Three Queens is a story of grief, faith, love and finding your way back to yourself.

An unforgettable five-star listen that will stay with me long after finishing it.

Thank you to NetGalley, Hay House Audiobooks and Sonia Palleck for providing me with an advance listening copy in exchange for my honest review.
