Description

You welcomed, Poetry

From "Blind Corners" © Stefania Lucchetti (2026)

"You welcomed, Poetry,

my sleepless nights,

my labyrinthine dreams,

the evenings’ anguish,

the morning sun,

and each day’s newborn hope."

Stefania Lucchetti is an Italian bilingual poet and philosophy essayist. She is one of the most widely read Italian contemporary poets worldwide as she is bilingual, writing in both Italian and English. Born in Verona (Italy) in 1975, she began publishing poetry as a teenager while living in the United States. Author of several poetry collections and philosophical works on technological humanism, she known for poetry of lyrical refinement and contemporary relevance. She is also the curator of a series of translations dedicated to Italian women poets across the centuries.

Stefania Lucchetti writes in a voice that moves fluidly between clarity and depth, between disciplined thought and unguarded feeling. She belongs to that rare lineage of poets for whom language is not ornament but necessity — poets who write not from literary posture, but from lived experience. Her poems read as lucid on the surface, yet beneath that composure runs a current of emotional and philosophical inquiry that lingers long after the page is turned.

Her work is defined by intellectual precision fused with emotional candour. Trained in law and shaped by an international professional life, she writes with a keen awareness of the structures — social, psychological, technological — that govern contemporary existence. Yet her poetry resists abstraction, turning instead, again and again, to the human figure caught within these systems: the solitary individual, the lover, the daughter, the mother, the exile, the watchful observer of a world in rapid transformation.
